  1. ummmm... outrage much? This is a 'general discussion' not a suggestion. lol. No one is doing anything. You're going to be okay. "what about all the new players like myself?" Folks like myself might welcome reading what quality of life suggestions you might have, what could improve the experience from a new player's perspective, and thank you for constructively participating in this discussion. "Shame on you" I gotta ask, did you even read the first post?
  2. if you haven't read or listened to "Book 1 We Are Legion (We Are Bob)".. you will enjoy.
  3. Appreciated. The topic kinds chose itself after Yomo's thread. There is an element of things being expensive for new characters and cheap for level 50s. Maybe the pooling of enhancements contributes heavily but it does seem to go beyond that.
  4. That's fair. Could we keep double infamy until a specific level like say 45 (just picking at random, no reason to say 45) It's odd how folks have trouble differentiating 'wanting something' from 'wanting to discuss'. You're at least saying 'seems to..' A variety of perspectives and/or thoughts is my only goal here.
  5. This is a semi-serious question, curious if anyone has thoughts or maybe a quick plusses and minuses. Making things scarcer likely wouldn't work well and could just increase farming. Is there a flip-side to @Yomo Kimyata's question on making all things free? It's easy to make inf, maybe too easy.. which makes things dirt cheap for many. Is there really any point to earning more once we can buy everything we want instantly for dozens of characters? The expectation these days seems to be leveling to 50 in a handful of hours (maximizing 2xp, patrol xp, special xp tuned missions) and then getting a complete build immediately while starting to build out incarnates. If this is way off, I'd be happy to hear it. The downside where players are self limiting infamy/influence gain is simply ignored. Maybe it's easy to ignore because $$ is so easy to get. Maybe there's a different reason. Double XP Booster (1 Hour) This will immediately grant the player a 100% boost to XP gain. While this boost is active, Influence gain will be reduced by 100%. You may purchase up to 8 hours. Soo... let's see where this ends up. credit: @Yomo Kimyata for the original topic this is piggybacking
  6. If they said dozens would that suffice? For me I'd have to wild-ass-guess it and guess dozens fully kitted and maybe 2-3x unfinished level 48-50s. Hold please.. Total: ~30 pages of characters across all servers. ~95 level 50s with about 35-40 complete T3+ builds. Note: It sure would be great to be able to sort the character lists by level, archetype, zone, etc... Nice mention! And what-a-JaCKPoT-roll right as tanks were peaking!!
  7. Watch out.. Lumi is back from 'vacation' and coming in hot!!
  8. https://shenanigunner.com/ UPDATED: v4.15 Technical Guide (post 27p7)... 154 pages of comprehensive and validated info on on the nuts and bolts! ALSO: GABS Bindfile · WindowScaler · Teleport Guide · and City of Zeroes all at www.Shenanigunner.com
  9. https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Bug_Hunter_Badge Maybe this or something similar that shouldn't be so hard to get..
  10. Last usable version here: Mids' Reborn v3.1.2.5 (Homecoming Issue 27, Page 3)
  11. It's soooo much better until it isn't
  12. @Boas I disagree
  13. Reasonable suggestion. @mistagoat makes a good point. I agree with @MTeague. Knockback is great. It is also fun. That said, I can understand the usefulness for someone that doesn't like it to be able to turn it off.
  14. Reading this again.. it sounds like one of those naughty channels hotels used to have.
  15. It's unfortunate when faith in a system is undermined. There's likely just a few bad actors out there and it's a pain-in-the-butt to show what they are doing. One isolated incident might not even look so bad. As frustrating as it is the only tool we have is report them and move on. Do some folks weaponize complaining and reporting, yes. That is up to others to recognize and deal with. This is the system we have. I support you expressing your feelings on your experience.
  16. I've figured these are suggestions, and feedback to the Homecoming team. A response from say a Dev might be wished for, but any expectation would be misplaced and unreasonable.
  17. Ah sarcasm.. You got me at least. I thought 'hey wait a second isn't that what.. ohhh" ------- -- ------- As to 'The Idea Police': It's often surprising (to me) when and where folks write 'don't tell me what to do' or 'don't tell me how to [ fill in the blank ]' and then do-that-exact-thing. I've likely done it more than once or twice. I'm not sure if Forager is a master baiter butt wow they know how to get a response. Is this a cultivated skill? They have used the internet before! 4,100 views 226 replies AND while I don't agree with much of what has been written they have provided an example of some 'Idea Police' at work. Thus solving the@GM_GooglyMoogly conundrum. "Maybe the "Idea Police" are more prevalent on older threads." Does this all put Moogl-ster in a bit of a pickle? Cave to one group and end the discussion there by potentially reinforcing the 'Idea Police' premise. Or, let this go on and on until it simply burns out consuming moderator time and effort along the way. Could there be a third option? Check back whenever. Same bat time, same bat channel.
  18. Hey! All of my suggestions have been the bestest most fantastic. Disclaimer: This should not be confused with general discussion topics I've started which range from pot-stirring to shit-show with a smattering of thoughtful introspective.
  19. This single post seems pretty reasonable.
  20. Corruptors are one of the best all-round archetypes. Blasters blast. They rotate tee shirts that say "Glass Cannon" "Death is my Bestie" "Don't Mez Me Bro" "Pew Pew" Corruptors are a great way to learn the game from a ranged perspective. A little Blaster, a little Defender, a little Controller all mixed together like your favorite cookie. Yum. Blasters, you'll know where all the hospitals are in each zone. The more practice the better they get and they can absolutely be built to be tough via 'kill em first'.
  21. oof Could give you a quick cheeky answer OR try to raise awareness on what's being asked in a game with as much varied content and situations as this one is complicated. Ima going with a third option: Trooth If cost is trooly not an issue.. Get good at stocking and using inspirations. Buy Amplifiers at the S.T.A.R.T. Vendor. You'll have Max Damage and Max Protection on demand. AND pick any quick firing Primary: Archery/Energy/Fire/Ice (Fire and Ice being most popular) If you want to fiddle with builds, no problem, we can show you. It can be time consuming. S.T.A.R.T. 22. Maybe you have a point. Lets assume Tar Patch gets a tweak, what trade off would you be willing to sacrifice for the improvement? Would a reduction in Twilight Grasp be worth it? That seems unrelated and extreme but somewhere they are going to find a trade off to offset an improvement. We might be able to get away with a small tweak but even dropping the recharge 15s might need an offset. I'd like to point out on Corruptors at least, you are comparing a level 1 power to level 16 and level 28 powers. Lvl 1 : Tar Patch : Ranged (Location AoE), Target -Speed, -Res, -Fly Lvl 16 : Freezing Rain : Ranged (Location AoE), Minor DoT(Cold), Foe -Speed, -Recharge, -DEF, -Res Lvl 28 : Sleet : Ranged (Location AoE), Minor DoT(Cold), Foe -Speed, -Recharge, -DEF, -Res (All), Knockdown One aspect you didn't include is the duration of the powers. The longer duration is very nice for harder targets and extended fights. Tar Patch : Duration 45s Freezing Rain : Duration 30s Sleet : Duration 30s The relationship between Duration and Recharge allows a player to stack Tar Patches. I can stack TP for 17-20s pre-Incarnates. I think Freezing Rain doesn't stack it 'replaces the effect' while Sleet's debuffs are 'no stacking and new effect ignored'. Also: There's a chance Tar Patch is over performing as a level one and so changes might come with more offsets than expected.
  23. Hey! How does this person have no warning points?! Muthatruckingawddam double standards.. ..yep that was my take away.
