  1. The simplest thing may be to do a complete reinstall of the Homecoming Launcher, this doesn't take a long time and may correct whatever is slowing it down.
  2. I would look and see how much of the drive you are actually using, and then look at the price of a SSD to cover that plus some room for growth. They are so much faster and more dependable that if you don't need 2 TB you can probably find a reasonable deal for one.
  3. As noted on the Main Page, Support is only responding to Critical Issues over the Holidays, so there may be an issue with the email that won't be resolved till they return. I would go ahead and see if it will let you create the 2nd GAME account. Also if you are setting up a 2nd PC you can go ahead and download the Homecoming Launcher and install the game, then just test it with your primary account. Happy New Year!
  4. Seems to indicate it may be a setting in his Account Settings that is the culprit. I would compare the 2 Accounts and see if there is a setting that is different. Since you are on a Windows 10 machine, this may be a good time to upgrade to the Homecoming Launcher which is fully supported and updated here. One of these days I suspect that updates for Tequila/Island Rum will stop, since HC Launcher is Homecoming's own creation. Not saying that Tequila is part of the problem you are having, but it is a better app.
  5. This article from Reddit covers using a PS4 Controller but should get you some info.
  6. I looked around online and found this list for NIC issues: Each of these settings will increase your CPU usage, so be aware of that going into this. Basically your Network card takes the load right now but we are going to relieve that so it can do it's job better. In "Device Manager" right-click your Network adapter and choose properties. You can do these in order and test each one first if you would like. First off go the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power". 2) Go to the advanced tab. The #1 change that all the other game players say fixed their problems is to DISABLE the "Interrupt Moderation". Basically it processes packets slower to help save on computer performance. Turning it off increasing CPU usage and process the packet traffic way faster which could technically slow down your PC but in this day in age I think most CPUs can handle it. 3) DISABLE "Flow Control". Seems counter-intuitive but this is apparently a feature that is already handled by Windows in its Networking Stack. No need for the card to do it. 4) DISABLE "Green Ethernet" and "Energy Efficent Ethernet" (WiFi adapaters probably won't have these, and if you don't update your adapter driver you may not see them or they just don't exist on your model) - Ummm...screw the environment we need more power for our games!? 5) DISABLE everything that has "offload" in it. Each one of these is basically saying that we will take that work if the CPU doesn't want to. Other fixes Turn off in-game voice chat. Voice takes priority bandwidth on most routers which will hurt your gameplay if your bandwidth cant handle it. Switch to Ethernet if you can. Try upgrading your Ethernet cable to a Cat6 instead of the most common 5e. This will reduce any kind of interference that may be happening from router to PC or Console. Your router could use an upgrade. Most buyers of an ISP use the default modem/router combo that they pay $10/month for. Not only will you save money in the long run by cancelling the rental fee, but you will have a modem/router that has better firmware and better overall speeds. I recently replaced mine and my avg ping from PC to router used to be 5ms, it is now 0ms. Comparing to Rocket League Servers I reduced East servers from 35ping down to 21ping on average and removed my serious lag spikes that I was having for exactly 1 second every minute. I have seen reports that overclocking your CPU could be harmful to FPS and to latency. Players did report that removing the OC did increase their performance.
  7. I would run /netgraph. Even though the other PC is working fine, which means the Internet is fine, it doesn't rule out an issue with your PCs connection to the router. If you are wireless try a wired connection as a test. Running /netgraph is explained below. Allows the user to turn on and off a network monitor, or graph. This graph will overlay on top of any other windows, and will always be in the lower right hand corner. /netgraph by itself will return the current net_graph setting. /netgraph 0 will hide the netgraph. /netgraph 1 will display the netgraph /netgraph #, where # > 1, will display a much taller version of the netgraph. On the netgraph: Green bars represent received packets, with the height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Red bars represent dropped packets.

  10. Did someone say Spam?, mmmm, Spam and eggs with some roasted baby gold potatoes, mmmmm, now I'm hungry, crap...
  11. Great Idea, one of the few forum posters from the original game boards who I never remember leaving the community. He was a presence on Titan Network/Paragon Chat long after the game shut down and was always helpful. I believe a memorial of some kind has been well earned, maybe a conspicuous spot somewhere in Echo Plaza would be appropriate.
  12. Combat Jumping and Weave are both great on Tanks and Brutes, especially if their Armor is Resistance Based, gives you someplace to build defense for when the resist is just not enough, and both have a small endurance cost for toggles. Usually 3 slot each with LOTGs to get the defense and global recharges, sometimes more if I feel the main armor needs more help, then respec later if I feel I no longer need the slots there. I know, probably not optimum, but it works.
  13. Also, try with your AV and Windows Defender disabled. If netgraph is not showing losses before you drop it is a local issue, restarting the router and modem may even correct the issue. Make sure you are installed somewhere other than Program files or any Windows controlled area, preferably create a folder called Homecoming directly on your hard drive and install the game there. Gremlins can be frustrating, good luck.
  14. If you go into the Wireless Adapter settings you can specify what speed that it is running at, if at 10, 100, 1000, limit it to 10, 100 and see if it helps. Latency is a killer here and if you are losing packets it can lead to lost connections. Running at GIG is not helping you if you are losing packets.

  16. I imagine they are either just trying to be helpful or like having people see how OP they are in a mission tailored to their abilities. I enjoy farming occasionally but both of my farmers are built to be able to do normal game play and were leveled the old fashioned way. I never search for door sitters but if asked will allow them to join me if that's their wish. To each their own.
  17. Here's an older post explaining the Menus:
  18. I am an Expert at doing things the wrong way. I seem to get an Insane pleasure from doing things the Hard way as well, should be obvious, I play mostly Tanks/Brutes. I also, because of being mostly on Reunion, living in the American Midwest and playing mostly in the early AM before work, tend to Solo almost exclusively. Back on Virtue, I was always a solid team Tank. I used to Craft Enhancements then sell them, then rebuy Attuned Versions for slotting. I understand the Financial Logic behind this practice, but I enjoy the Crafting/Attuning process. I am also somewhat impatient, so bidding low and waiting for an opportunity is difficult for me. I seldom buy catalysts, but collect them in base storage, to use by other Characters later or to Attune Enhancements to give away when the mood strikes. Just considering the possibility of creating a dedicated Crafting Character to scratch that particular itch and want it to be as capable and versatile as possible. Not the smartest thing, but there you go. Typical Marine X.
  19. One thing that is a good add to a base is an Auto Doc, it disperses Inspirations but will also buy Salvage and Recipes as a Vendor would, and I tend to put it near the TP Area for easy access between missions, along with the Base Rez.
  20. I can typically acquire recipes and salvage thru missions/farming that are essentially free to create them. There are several popular enhancements, clearly not all, that you can create and attune yourself, at less than the market price. Just looking at those particular ones. There are also others that drop very rarely, even though they are not rare that are cheaper to craft than buy because of demand. I agree that most of the time it is better to craft and sell rather than attune, but there are exceptions. I am focusing on the ones with multiple bids but low or no supply. Just something to keep my idle hands from doing the devil's work, lol. I am thinking of naming the character: "Tuna"
  21. In order to craft and attune enhancements to sell or use on other Toons. In order to Attune them you have to be able to slot the crafted enhancement in order to use a Catalyst to Attune it. So if attuning a Slow Movement Enhancement, you have to have somewhere where you can slot it. Looking for an AT and Power selections that would be able to slot the widest possible variety of enhancements.
  22. Been thinking about creating and power leveling a toon specifically to be used as a SuperGroup Crafter/Attuner. This would require the ability to slot the widest possible variety of Enhancements. I was thinking probably a Controller would be the most diverse given that it could slot a lot of different types plus what you could add through pool powers. The Hard ones are AT specific enhancements, and those are probably just not going to happen. I also considered Sentinals. Any suggestions? Have no intention of using this as anything more than a Base Bot, eg: Crafter, Attuner, Influence, Salvage and Recipe Storage, so gameplay is not a concern.
  23. I will be primarily on Reunion ( Most of my Toons are there even though I'm in Ohio, USA ), and may do some on Everlasting and Excelsior. Just planning to do the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway I did every year on Live but use Enhancements instead of Influence this time. People can always cash them in.
  24. While I am still in the Farming Phase of my pre-Christmas Ritual, I am starting to consider a few changes to my annual giveaway. Because of the clumsiness of the trade interface, and a lot of people not understanding why I am offering to trade, a lot decline to trade, so no gift. Thus I am thinking about just buying attuned enhancements that I can just Drag and Drop on Players. Trying to think of perhaps of a few popular varieties, like Blessing of the Zephyr ( Knock back Protection ) for level 10+ Luck of the Gambler ( Def +Global Recharge ) for level 25+. Any suggestions for additional ones to consider that would be desirable and in the 5 Million or less range would be appreciated. Also would enhancement Catalysts be a desirable gift?, usually 3 Million or so at the AH.
  25. Indeed, very compelling, and poignant topic. I am truly moved by what I've seen here, I just need a moment......
