  1. GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1) Click Import/Export 2) Select "Short Form Export" or select "Long Form Export" because it doesn't matter 3) Check the box in the pop-up that says "Only Export Data Chunk" Ta-dah! Thank you, Bionic Flea! Yay!
  2. How do I export a character in this format? It's so neat and tidy!
  3. Thank you so much for your help!
  4. Thanks! Uh... Did you mind a few questions? 1) Why Ice Bolt instead of Ice Blast? 2) Why not Frost Breath? 3) Why not Bitter Freeze Ray? 4) Why Hover? Not because I don't like it; on the contrary! I'm glad to have it! But my friend HATES Hover and puts it down every chance he gets and I just want to rub his nose in it! Lol! 5) Why Boxing? Edit: Oh, I see you slotted Brawling! Ok! I found this article about Defense vs Resistance and S/L vs M/R/AoE, and I found it kind of astonishing. Wouldn't this be more effective? https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Defense_Effectiveness
  5. Hi! I've been playing CoX for a total of 2.5 (or so) months now! I played around with a few archetypes, and eventually tried the Sentinel. So without knowing how many players didn't like /regen, I created one and took her to level 50! The sales pitch in the Regen powers descriptions assured me that I would never have any problems with hits and end, and this seemed to be at least partly true. I noticed that there were times when enemies were whaling on me and my hits wouldn't budge. And my end seemed to go forever! But then there were times when enemies would go through my hits so fast I didn't even realize what was happening until I was on the ground!? End was never a major problem but it ran out too, occasionally. Like, when I needed it most. Now that I've reached level 50 I've (finally! ha!) taken an interest in how to put my Sentinel's power sets together. I haven't even begun to consider Incarnate powers yet but I was wanting the design to be a foundation for the Incarnate powers. And I also need to learn how to use /regen. I've heard the cons of it but I've also heard that expert Sentinels often prefer it. I'm not an expert by any means (this is also my first MMO.) But I plan to become one. Can anyone help?
  6. Wow! I've never played CoX until about 2.5 months ago! This guide (and the ones listed at the end of the original post) has answered two of the most important questions I've had since I learned about farming in CoX! 1) What is the best archetype for farming? The player 2) What is the best mission to farm? Auction House Min players: 1 Level: 1-50 Yay!

    IO advice?

    Why not?
  8. You're right! I just found out about this today, in fact! Lol! Thanks!
  9. Heh! One minor correction: "You can use the Ourobo portal to easily transport out (of Peregrine Island,) but you have to wait 4:30 mins to come back." You can actually travel back to Peregrine Island by the "old fashioned" way of using the monorail to Talos Island, etc. You don't HAVE to wait to use the Ouro portal!
  10. Fast Travel With Ouroboros Those of you who have played the game Fallout probably have a good idea of what I'm going to talk about. When I first got the Ouroboros badge, my impression was "Meh... Another badge. A handful of experience and a longer badge list that's harder to search." And then someone showed me how to use it. Ever since then, it's been a progressive series of "I can do that?!" until I've finally reached the point where I have to share! The purpose of this guide is to give advice on acquiring the badge and using it to travel like a boss. Acquiring the badge Honestly, for your first time in Ouro, it's best to go with someone who knows their way around. Finding the badge can be cumbersome the first time because it's at the peak of the building you see when you first arrive. Just the other day, I found out that you can aquire the badge at level ONE (blueside) if you're part of a supergroup and your superbase has the right portal. Check your superbase portals for a location called "Echo: Galaxy City." Go there. Once there you take the local monorail straight to Ouroboros. You'll appear on the opposite side of the SAME building that you would have arrived at if you had used the portal. So just make your way to the peak of the building next to you and get your badge. If you don't have a travel power (superleap, hover, fly, etc.) then you'll have to go to the opposite side of the building and run up the arch there. If your companion has the power "Recall Friend," they can use it to get you up there and back down. Acquiring the badge redside before level 14 is not recommended but I've done it. Hypothetically, you can acquire it at level one. Use a base portal to go to Echo: Dark Astoria. If you're able to survive the trip to the monorail, you can take it to Ouroboros. If you don't have a superbase, then you can still get to Ouroboros pretty easily if you're level 14+. Just go see Ms. Liberty in Atlas City and type this verbatim in the Broadcast channel: "Can someone please open an Ouro portal next to Ms. Liberty?" Because I see this message so often, I'll open a portal when I go see her whether someone asks or not. Remember that you have to be level 14 to use the portal. Using the portal like a boss As I said, when I first got the badge I didn't know it could be used as a power. And I certainly don't know the fullest extent of how to use it (I've never done any missions there.) So this isn't a comprehensive guide for being a boss! Lol! Here are some observations I've made while using it: a) the portal will close behind them when the person who created it uses it b) travelling to Atlas City and Talos Island will drop you RIGHT NEXT to a monorail c) Ouroboros will take you STRAIGHT to Peregrine Island d) recharge time for the portal is 5:00 So no matter where you are, just use an Ouroboros portal to take you to Talos Island, and you have immediate access to most places in Paragon City! The biggest problem I've had with transportation was while doing radio missions in Peregrine Island and my exp bonus expiring. You can use the Ourobo portal to easily transport out, but you have to wait 5:00 mins to come back. This can be resolved a number of ways: 1) One person opens a portal and anyone needing to get exp bonus can go to Atlas and get them (I say "Atlas" because nearly everyone knows where the P2W agent is in Atlas) 2) Another person opens a portal in Atlas and everyone returns If you're travelling by yourself, it can still be done a little differently: 1) Open a portal and travel to Atlas 2) As soon as you arrive, type this verbatim in the Broadcast channel: "Can someone please open an Ouro portal next to Ms. Liberty?" 3) Get your exp bonus and go see Ms. Liberty where you're very likely to find the portal waiting for you That's all I have for now. This should give you a solid start on using your Ouroboros portal like a boss!
