wow i love this idea! i find that aim/build up works fine on their own but i tend to have so many other things happening in my rotation that behind the initial salvo they see little use. Id like to flesh this idea out a little if you dont mind: Blasters: I love the idea of the secondary effects being enhanced as an active power but how about a passive addition. for example, Blaster martial combat is a passive, granted its nowhere near as good as BU/A but i dont have to think about using it in the middle of combat. In the interest of specializing each power we can make some other adjustments for example, DP is a close ranged set compared to AR so lets reward that daring blaster who engages in close range. For DP u get a dmg bonus for close ranged encounters the closer you are the better your damage and for AR the opposite would be true. For the sets that the secondary is already reliable such as rad/sonic we can have the BU/A perform the opposite function to give blasters an extra debuff for example, for Rad BU/A boost effect would reduce resists and for sonic is would reduce defense. so lets see for Fire: Boost length of time target is on fire for 10 seconds + increased dmg based for close range? Archery: Chance to knockdown for 10 seconds + increased dmg based on distance. AR: Accuracy bonus + increased dmg based on distance. BR: Boost disintegration time 10 seconds +increased dmg based for close range? DB: Small chance to inflict terror status for 10 seconds+ increased dmg based on distance. DP: Causes bleed effect for 10 seconds + increased dmg based for close rang? Electric Blast: increased chance to siphon endurance with each attack for 10 seconds+ increased dmg based on distance. Energy Blast: this one is tough i wanna say increased knockback but i think if i do ill get jumped + increased dmg based on distance. IceBlast: Doubles Slow effects for 10 seconds + increased dmg based on distance. PB: chance to inflict random status condition (terror, confuse, blind) for 10 seconds + increased dmg based on distance. RB: Adds a resist debuff to attacks for 10 seconds + increased dmg based for close range SB: Adds a defense debuff to attacks for 10 seconds + increased dmg based for close range Water Blast: Chance to choke targets for 10 seconds + increased dmg based for close range ok so the RED part of the skill is the action that happens when u click the skill and the WHITE part is passive and occurs regardless. i can do other AT's if this idea seems interesting. -

Im old and my memory may be failing me, but i seem to remember this WAS possible live as long as all members had seen the cutscene before and all agreed to skip it. then again its been a long long time. -
truthfully i have a fire/fire blaster that can easily do 4x8 and the t9 goes great with all the other pbaoes that are in the second powerset, its an excellent synergy. I have no complaints

I have over 25 fully specced lvl 50 characters and have never experienced the level of difficulty you seem to be facing however; certain low level recipes such as rectified reticle cannot be purchased via merits and therefore takes much much longer to acquire. that being said this is a rarity and most enhancements can easily be purchased with a little patience (about 24 hours) or a lot of Inf. Stay safe out there also id love to see your builds

So i read all umpteen pages of proposed rage changes before the thread got locked but, here is a suggestion i haven't seen yet. So apparently they wanna spread the crash to resist, but halve its defense bit and they wanted to link it to uh double stacking. there was loads of umm negative feedback lol. there were lots of suggestions and i'm not gonna list em here (id rather be playing) What my suggestion does is try to find a middle ground/balance. how about u only experience the crash when u pair rage with hasten? Both powers are supposed to have a crash of some sort. Realistically u never even really notice either of them, depending on your build. There are ways to build your toon to get double rage without hasten if that's your cup of tea. the current (dev) proposed change gives a crash when rage is double-stacked. My beef with this change is even if you don't make recharge a priority and someone hits u with a time/rad/kinetic buff and yur rage is on auto, CRASH. Sure i could not have rage on auto but if i wanted to play "city of watch your power tray like a hawk" id play a kheldian. Double stacking rage is too easy and this seem to be the heart of the issue with the devs. lots of powers have synergy. super jump+super speed / hover+teleport / Build up + Aim (i'm not gonna list em all) There are also examples of powers having dysergy. Super speed + Flight / Granite armor + any travel power / T9 willpower strength of will + Hasten) There are already precedents of hasten not working with some powers like shields T9 one with the shield.

also with there being so many combo counter powers could we get some kind of visual representation on or near our character so we don't have to watch our power tray like hawks? it doesnt have to be something that breaks immersion like a number over the chars head but maybe the screen could flash 3 times or a shrinking ring of light or something..... right now ive got my power tray superimposed over my char to resolve this issue and while its an effective solution its......inelegant.

Thanks so much for your detailed feedback. Your understanding of the underlying game mechanics far surpasses my own. I sincerely appreciate the effort you have gone through however if i may make a request; You only listed your own opinion regarding these suggestions maybe 3 times. Also i know this may be a lot to ask but if its not to much trouble could u possibly list some of your own suggestions? Thanks again.

Acrobatics needs some love, up the mag 2 to mag 3 so ranged characters (besides sentinels) have a genuine option for mez protection. (also does anyone still take this power?) Mission objective objects have a sound effect. Can we give hostages a whimper sound to home in on? A new accolade for hunting down ALL the giant monsters maybe +1% accuracy or something that wont break the game but give high level players something to do. Updated rewards for the pvp zones so players have more incentive to go there (seriously they suck atm) I'm not sure how many players use the reduce interrupt enhancements but i'm fairly certain that they would be far more popular if they were reduce cast time instead. (with diminishing returns obviously) The defender solo buff isn't enough, make all defender buffs self targeting ONLY when soloing. (maybe with reduced effectiveness, therms be OP lol) I love bubbles, especially at lower levels but at the high levels well equipped characters are capped already. lets make bubbles good again how about a scaling thorns mechanic 1% dmg return per level so at lvl 25% they return 25% of the dmg they absorb etc. maybe make the bubbles poppable to compensate. synapse is too long (what else needs to be said) so knives of Artemis have a scabbard on their back....we have broadswords, katana's, titan weapons daggers sai but no scabbard? So with the fast snipe implementation (well done btw) the dps of most ranged sets increased substantially however some sets without snipes got left behind (cough dual pistols). Can they get some love? Jack frost and Animate stone are terrible pets for various reasons. illusion far outshines them. Maybe make animate stone like the DE enemy when it dies 2 smaller weaker versions pop out? and for jack when he dies he detonates in an ice pbaoe that freezes surrounding foes but its the sleep hold not an actual hold Lastly not sure if this can be implemented but Arrows. a new mechanic called draw. u hold the button to fire the attack the longer u hold the button the stronger the resulting attack. more powerful attacks have slower draws and weaker ones have faster draws. (dunno if this is strictly necessary but it sounds cool lol) Thanks for reading. let keep coh alive!

Some people love KB Some people hate KB the best way for everyone to get what they want is a null the gull option. Then people who love it can keep it And people who dont can have KD instead

yes! null the gull should have a setting to change your KB to KD if u choose just like speed boost. Putting this option in the game doesn't change anyone's existing builds or gameplay unless they choose it. People who argue against this are arguing against customization, which is really the bread and butter of COH anyway -
thanks for the hotfix, any idea when this issue will be repaired? seems like a lot extra effort to make a new character nowadays

A lot of really good points have been brought up here. So id like to just repeat them to keep this thread alive. #1. Make KB2KD a global #2. If people want KB there are sets for it (do these people exist?) #3. More options is always better. -
Hi, i six slot lvl 50 Oblits into spring attack and it does umm like 120 damage...... Is this superior damage or is it mislabeled? Could the label be fixed or the damage upped? thanks sorry if this is the wrong forums, im super new
