  1. Yes I see from Uun's explanation above how it's no longer repel the effect but repel the power within a certain radius. Thanks Uun.
  2. Force Bomb does not need a kb%kd pr%c in it, from page 5 patch notes: The Vectored Knockdown does not scatter, it knocks mobs up who then fall back down. Make a character on test if you want to see it in action. So, personally, I would never include this as an answer to "what to skip" for the OP. AOE -res, kd mitigation, it's an important power for FF.
  3. Edited to minimize notifications from meleers quoting this and saying "but I can do it". Anyway if I'm doing family at volume for HPT I turn bosses off. The same consigliere mobs spawn and summon singularity but lts are defeated significantly quicker than bosses.
  4. Activati%n time is absolutely part of the core formula for computing %pr%c% rate. Details can be found in the first post of the thread in the link below. This link directs you to a post where Bopper answers the OP, that the activation time used is whichever applies to create the %pro% pr%bability.
  5. Also, if you have this lvl 50 alt on another account, the lowbie can join the 50 for the Unlucky Artifact at level 30. The lowbie can't start this mission from Ouro, but they are in the band where they can join it, so no need to wait for 35. Same with the one from Timothy Raymond. Born in Battle can also be acquired early, level 30, with damage farming. I personally go with this over PJ,
  6. It may not be cheap at level 40 (will be 1.6M inf for 1 hour) but the Defense Ampifier from P2W will basically solve mezzing issues (mag 4 protection to all) which is, from my own experience, the first step in my blasters being defeated. The task list of "what to do" should include acquiring Demonic, which has gotten me out of many a jam, whether lvl 50 tank or lowbie blaster, via a pseudo-armor t9 that's available every 9 minutes.
  7. Just another data point. I was level 3, ran by a capsule in Atlas and clicked. 3 Rikti spawned, I punched and punched and punched and got 1 to about 85% hp. The damage they do seems scaled appropriately, I was surviving, though I certainly would going to die if I slugged it out with all 3 of them. To see if my guy was just super weak I fought an even level hellion and it went down in 3 hits, about what I'm used to with an even con minion at that level.
  8. Regardless of "why" you may use Experienced, it's most important to use it in a way that doesn't waste any of the benefits. You can only have 10 bars of patrol xp so if you activate a charge while you have 8 bars, then 3 bars will be wasted. I make sure to have 4 bars or fewer when activating a charge.
  9. Historically on HC, the anniversary has given all players that log in 5 Experienced charges (see https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Paragon_Rewards_Powers#Experienced). I don't know for sure that's what this anniversary will reward, just stating precedent. As the link says, it provides 5 bars of patrol xp. Patrol xp caps at 10 bars so you don't want to just click with no consideration for how much patrol you have accrued. Personally 4 bars is my threshold, anything more and I wouldn't use a charge. With regards to stacking, yes it stacks with other bonus xp, it's a 50% addition of base xp, so max of 3.5xp if you're on Indom and have P2W 2xp. The "how" they stack is Base xp + (bonus xp1) + (bonus xp2) +... + (bonus xpN) where N= all sources of bonus xp. Note for future reference - the mapserver mobs had their base XP increased, they did not award another chunk of bonus xp, so their reward was 20x with p2w 100% boost and 30x on Indom with the additional boost. I mention this because I've seen this misrepresented by other players saying Mapserve scale10 xp was additive as well. Edit - the Experienced boosters were awarded to characters I logged in today, so those are already being awarded, don't even need to go test to see them.
  10. Yes, using build 1 and build 2. Note - your Bane will have Crab legs. There's yet a 3rd build available too at level 50.
  11. I get that game mechanics wise this choice had to be made, but the elevator system has been bothering me for years now, maybe the most fantastical element of this whole game. I'll buy the existence of interdimensional eyeballs over this game's elevators.
  12. For suggestions, I always ask myself "If I were HC's CTO would I want a dev to spend time on this?" OP says they're looking to improve marginal gains but marginal gains have marginal costs and the marginal cost here is dev time, which further has an opportunity cost. Whether it's 1 hour, or 10, or 100 I don't know, but having someone spend any time on some edge case where an SO dropped at level 3 to a level 5 is not what I want them working on. And the metaphor shouldn't be 5 bucks instead of a gazillion, it's 5 bucks instead of 8. Vote: Nay
  13. I wince every time I see or hear "MMs were originally CoV's tanks". For an intended tank, they sure didn't get any tank tools. I've once seen a summary on some "official' source (I forgot where) that can be paraphrased as "with bodyguard mode a MM effectively has a Tanker's HP" and I'm thinking that's where this myth came from. If someone can show some link where it was more explicitly stated that MMs = tanks, I'd love to see it.
  14. The pro% rate for cones is unaffected by +range. The formula is right, the additional targets for pr%cs at the extended end of the cone are "free".
  15. 5 posts above yours, AboveTheChemist linked to when it was changed in i18.
  16. Increase Recovery is a 3rd one that requires 3 pieces (2 common, 1 uncommon) https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Increase_Recovery_(Empowerment)
  17. The mapserver event produces a lot of 50s but not a lot of "stuff". I saw someone share a screenshot of being 50 and getting a "you got your first piece of salvage" notification after MSing to 50. If I cared about the world of marketeering I would certainly view this as a good time for selling. But I don't so I won't.
  18. Regardless of what any description says they last for 90 minutes. I do like your idea, OP, and I'd be in favor or lowering the duration of one buff from 90 to 60 minutes if we could stack these buff durations. I personally am an empowerment buff addict and craft whatever I can in downtime with whatever salvage I have on hand, plus a few things I store in SG so I can make the ones I really value regardless of what's in my character's inventory.
  19. This day job accolade gives the crafting discount. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Entrepreneur_Badge As for which patch notes you can look for issue 13.
  20. This is easy for me - MSRs. I want 2 pieces of loot that can only be acquired by VMs (+10 salvage and the big bot) and 1 that can most effectively be acquired by VMs (Grai Matter) and VMs are, by far, most effectively acquired via MSRs, so I grin and bear it for 45ish minutes (accounting for assembling, pylons, grates and bowl) for each character as I play a mini game of "how much time is left in the raid now?" where I try to guess what's left on the clock. I actually don't care for anything with the invasion mechanics, whether Zombie, Nemesis or Rikti. Rikti at least have a good reward with the click accolade.
  21. +2 is not usual for Katie because of the previously mentioned eventual +5 AV. I personally am "nope"-ing from this scenario if it's a pure pug. Crank it up for the rest of the tf, thats fine, but Mary at +5 is pain and misery at level 34.
  22. Someone else will have to answer the "when", I don't know exactly but they've been on HC from the start. I have a hunch they were part of vet rewards on live but that's only a hunch. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Enhancement_Booster_Salvage Boosters don't drop from any normal content so you can buy them the AH with inf or the merit vendor with merits. The article mentions "occasional drops" but I have never once had them drop from anything. Regardless that link should tell you what you need to know.
  23. New (if p5 can be considered "new") aggro mechanics mean that it's no longer enough to have the magic "45/90" fire numbers. Mobs that see you will shoot at you even if they're not in your official aggro table. This gets to be a LOT of incoming damage. You'll need some sustain, like additional regen or power transfer procs. Note - I stopped farming before p5 but my curiosity did cause me to ask "how would I solve this?" and that's what I did and could handle any amount of additional incoming attacks.
  24. Here's my mini-guide. Run straight to the portal (it will have a waypoint), hopefully you're stealthy enough to get there without drawing fire, if not, chew a purple insp or two but it's important to get there ASAP. Kill off anyone near the portal. Wait a moment, the first wave should be coming very soon after you've done the above. Try to fight some distance away (100 feet, let's say) from the portal, ideally using an AOE to get all the mobs attention, they can be very focused on getting to the portal otherwise. You have Snow Storm and that's perfect for this. Blizzard of course is perfecter. From this point, you can choose the long way (stay at portal and only fight mobs that are trying to escape) or the quick way (fight a few mobs in the field, run back to portal before next escape attempt, repeat). Regardless of whether you choose the long or short way, I'd suggest going down the left path, as you stand at the portal looking out onto the field and defeating a couple of spawns, then go back to portal. The reason I say that even if you're electing to camp the portal, is so you can hedge up further on the right path where 95% of the mobs will go through. If you proactively get rid of the ones on the left side, you don't have to worry about them sneaking down that path. If I'm actually doing the mission I use the "short way" where I kill 2-3 spawns then run back, always with an eye to the portal's direction so if I see someone attempting to escape I can switch gears real quick to head them off. My "real talk" guide for how I do this mission - set the difficulty to +4 and autocomplete.
  25. If I were to be a merit hunter, I'd probably do Shauna Braun's arc. It's easily over 2MPM (20 merits, <10 minutes). Most importantly, I'd bring another account(s) along. Generally I find each account adds, let's say 5-10% more time for double (or triple) the rewards.
