  1. Could this note from today's patch be... this longstanding bug, my personal biggest frustration with the game, has been fixed? Off to do some /AHing...
  2. Once upon a time I used to plan 3 respecs up to and including attaining level 50, One around 25, another at 40 then lastly at 50. That time is long gone though. The rationale was I could take attacks to fill in a chain for lower levels and get rid of them when the chain became full with other powers and higher recharge. Now I'm content to spam whatever temps I've corralled while waiting for the chain to fill. To respec or not at 50 is still a question that varies on a case by case basis. If I have to use something like 12 unslotters (or more) I'll respec but if it's 5-10, I'll just unslot. As a member of triple digit t4d 50s club, I don't worry at all about respeccing retired characters. I have some old characters I use for current play and for those I try to keep updated, but that's some number less than 10. I have no intention to unslot them though, nor worry about system resources which are trivial for storing this kind of data. Now that I think about it, when a set is drastically changed for a retired character, I make a new iteration. Not a complete duplication, for example after recent MM buffs I had all those primaries but made new characters for ninja, merc and necro with different secondaries from their predecessors.
  3. I've seen it but I can't remember what led to it, though I did have a working hypothesis that I now don't remember. Like, doing DA content while attaining 50 but not training to 50 (that's throwing spaghetti at a wall, I simply don't remember what it was). Hybrid XP is kind of weird. I once bought all my incarnate xp just to do it and I could open up everything except Hybrid, was unable to make any progress there with purchased iXP.
  4. I pretty much agree with OP point-for-point. It was the first time I did the Striga arc that was the firs time I really got hooked on the game. This full arc is definitely great work, especially the last arc. I knew it was going to be Steph as soon as a witch was mentioned, she tells us that she's one in her arc. I found that BP EB to be a bigger challenge. I fought it first and got worked pretty good until I went in loaded for bear, loading up on T3 insps. I had enough still on hand by the time I got to Steph that her fight wasn't too bad. I dug how the vill missions mirror the hero ones. There's a LOT of similarities, such as an all MekMan mission or Family on a boat, but with a twist. Really well done with the notable exception of some bugs with contact progression or mixed teams. The latter is apparently fixed. I don't know how hard it would be to modify contact text but after I did all the arcs red side I side switched and, since I was still in the 20s, went to talk to her. She introduced me to the Hansens but I was kind of hoping she'd call me a big jerk face or something but it was just standard "move along to next contact" text.
  5. Do you sell everything to the vendor, everything to the auction house? SOs/DOs and basic recipes get sold to the vendor Common salvage is placed on AH at an ask price to get sold fast. Uncommon salvage is placed on AH at a variable price based on a number I've created as the "fair" price of a yellow. 95% of the time, at least over the last several months, my price is way below. Recently I've seen this dip down below my "fair" price, which makes me happy. Rares (both salvage and recipes) get sold a shade above what seems to be the current FMV. If a rare recipe seems to be undervalued relative to the crafted enhancement I'll craft it and sell. Do you set a price to get the value you want or just sell immediately for whatever you can get? I sell crafted IOs at a competitive price. Not for 1 inf for the flippers but not much above their bid. There may be "whale" items (Cytos for example) I place a higher ask for but I don't actively do this sort of marketeering. How much do you work the market? About 10-15 minutes once a week. Crafted IOs come from a periodic craft/sell session, maybe weekly, where I sell all my lvl 50 recipes to another account as 41s, then craft, convert, sell. If I get my hands on a LotG 7.5, a purple or pvp piece I craft and e-mail to the base owner of that type.
  6. Official priority is: 1. Any day job badge I don't have 2. For "semi-retired" characters, who I no longer play but move around to wrap up day jobs for (1) above, the 2 that give XP mission bonuses and the 3 that give inf mission bonuses, so that when I log in every 4 days I can do a mission complete and get max rewards. 3. Anything that gives a fixed number of charges of whatever. I like these because I know they won't expire while standing around. I really like the buffs, but the duration is just too short to worry about. Dust is maybe my favorite of those but again... almost irrelevant, they're not even active for so much content anyway (like iTrials).
  7. Ok, that's fine. I just didn't want the ability to summon him ad hoc to be changed. On another note, look what I just spawned (this is in Talos):
  8. This Scrapyard "exploit" has been around for a long long time now. Seems like a Monstrous Aether problem, not a Scrap problem so I hope whatever this fix address those drops and not Scrappy. He's needed for an accolade and, as of the day before p7 it was helpful to be able to gather some teammates, kill enough striking workers then get Scrappy. Maybe do it again if folks were of a mind to do so. Wasn't deemed to be exploitative then and it was the same behavior. The only difference? Monstrous Aether.
  9. As the title says, I died after secondary mutation turned me into a Rikti Monkey. When that happens your normal powers get greyed out and only the two monkey powers are available (Monkey Slap, Monkey Gas). What I've always experienced was when the monkey effect wears off, the two temp powers go away and your normal powers are restored. When I used a wakie just now, my normal powers became available but the monkey attacks stayed available too. Here's a snapshot. 5 minutes later this is still the case. Exiting reset this though. Not game breaking by any means but there it is.
  10. I've seen all PP boss spawns in Manti before, something like 3-4 bosses. I noticed it in a post p7 Manti but wasn't surprised by it.
  11. I did say what server, I provided specifics from two different servers.
  12. If this is buried in the minutiae of the patch notes, then I missed it and I apologize, but the level 50 mission completion rewards are slightly lower than they were before the update. Previously completion xp and influence for completing a +4 difficulty mission was 65,000 and change. I don't remember the amount of change (the number in the hundreds) but I've seen the 65k number so many times it's etched into my memory. These numbers could adjust up due to day job bonuses but 65k was the baseline reward. Now I'm getting: You gain 62,332 experience and 62,332 influence. Not much but it's less and I don't know if that's intended. Let me head off a couple of "well what about..." counters from other posters: 1) Team size doesn't affect this bonus. Even if it did I saw the new number for +4 team size 8 2) I don't have any bonuses, day jobs or anything could possibly be affecting this. I'll also note doing a handful of autocompletion is a standard part of my day so I know for sure that 65k is the number I've been getting over the years. Now it's 62 and change. Editing to give some additional data: The mission complete bonus on Excel, with both day jobs active (Arachnos base and Police Station) was 93,497. Divide by 1.5 (the 2 day jobs are each 25% and add to 50%) and you get 62331.333 With no day job on Excel I got the aforementioned 62,332. On Indomitable, with no day job bonuses, I got 124,664. Indom has 2xp so divide by 2 to get 62,332.
  13. Here's a suggestion that requires some inf. Whether it's "too much" inf or not is up to the individual player but the Defense Amplifier from the P2W vendor (it's still called P2W as of this moment) provides 4 points protection to everything. The cost is (Your trained level)^2 * 1,000 inf for an hour of usage. You can buy 8 hours at a time, so at level 1 that's 1,000 inf for an hour and 8,000 inf for 8 hours. At level 40 it's 1,600,000 inf per hour.
  14. I think it's worth mentioning Power Boost, it takes Fort from 6/5 to infinity/5. That's hyperbole of course but I (not an emp pro by any means) like to take it because I can use it every other Fort. While the boost is in effect the heals will be for more as well, I just view that as gravy.
  15. Even in that case PBs get to choose Quantum Maneuvers which may not be completely identical but functionally close enough.
  16. This right here: is flight. You get it at level 1 available to human form. I really don't see a need to take the pool power "Fly". Welcome to the game, etc.
  17. Whatever the amount is for me, it's less at this moment in time than it was 24 hours ago before e-mail made a good chunk go "poof*.
  18. Marvel and DC seeing that this game reached over 4000 concurrent players: "We're SAVED!"
  19. Yes this is from a content farm and reads like it, but I was amused that the article wonders if this game can "save the genre". No pressure or anything. https://www.cbr.com/franchise-fatigue-answer-city-of-heroes/
  20. Just another data point, in my scores of banks (on big teams) I've never seen Fallen From Grace or Critical Mass as an EB. I've only ever seen Aeon as an EB.
  21. I just found this thread and skimmed, not perused other comments. My main problem is a lack of 30-35 SF. No, Morty Kal doesn't count. I can live without a Posi analog but this 30-35 gap won't do. Ultimately I have to question if this is a problem worth solving. So many players have it ingrained "I don't want to be the bad guy" that I don't think you can overcome that, not within the context of this game. If 20% of play goes on red side, that sounds consistent with how it's been since I joined, right after CoV came out. By now you have to acknowledge "it is what it is" and throw bones to those 20% occasionally (like a lvl 30-35 sf).
  22. I'm going to +1 this. I have a group that does scanners/banks to start out sessions and over the years on HC we've done a LOT of banks as a full team of 8 and the AV rate is disappointingly low. Nowhere close to 25% if that's supposed to be the target (and I don't know that it is). The same seems to be true in mayhems. I wish I'd kept some records, I hate using "feels like" to make a quantitative point instead of real data but that's all I've got right now.
  23. For non meleers, I'm a-ok with 3 or 4 points (some PVP sets give 3 as a bonus). For a tank I do try to get in the neighborhood of 11-12, for those sets without native -kb protection and resist. For the other meleers I'm content with 7 or 8, maybe 4 for some Stalkers.
