  1. I am happy to acknowledge that farming is Not ruining the economy, but THIS take is disingenuous. You aren't an efficient genius. You've simply chosen a playstyle that is ARBITRARILY REWARDED MORE than other playstyles. THAT is the crux of the disagreement right there.
  2. Give the Council a couple of Nictus weapon mobs at level 40 or 45+ that do unresistable Nicti damage not just to Kheldians, but to Everyone. AFAIK they are the only enemy group that does not really get more dangerous at the high levels.
  3. In the Galaxy City tutorial, it used to be that after you defeated the Giant Shivan you saw a Teleport animation when you moved to the Longbow/Arachnos area. Now, there's no animation. It's kinda jarring.
  4. It's a really boring way of earning rewards. I don't really know if it's imbalanced.
  5. I've never suggested getting rid of the AE, just scaling back the rewards, which they did. Did they do it enough? Probably.
  6. It's still the strongest and prettiest MMO out there.
  7. I think the best point here is that virtually all worthwhile activities Outside the AE reward Merits. Because of that, the balance of AE vs non-AE is pretty much fine most of the time. The main thing people seem to like about the AE is not having to GO anywhere. I definitely do not agree that AH prices are too high. Most things I want are available on the AH for around Half their "Merit price". That seems fine to me. Supply is very good, it's only very infrequently that what I want is not available as either recipe or enhancement and in literally EVERY such case I have been able to use Converters to fill my need, again for Far lower than the merit price. So even if I have some innate dislike of farming (for various reasons), I recognize that in fact the economy is running FINE, regardless of whether it is Because of or Despite farmers.
  8. There is one more important element that is not mentioned here. The zombies are DUMB. What importance is that you ask? The zombies need a human to give them orders. If you kill all the Reapers and Mortificators and then fall back a little ways the zombies will forget about you and stop attacking. You can then pick them off one at a time or separate them out a bit.
  9. But let's not discount the adjustments that have been made. I think the 10x is no longer really accurate. I agree things were out of whack early on in HC, but it seems to have been mostly resolved. Well, maybe the second most obvious. The most obvious is definitely the ignorance of Damage Per Animation Time being important, and more generally just math.
  10. It had, to me, the most gripping existential crisis. Every episode has had some sort of "oh no, the thing we thought was good turned out to be bad" kind of twist, and Strange's had the most compelling. Also, the visual effects at the end of the episode were amazing, and
  11. I've liked every episode, though I think clearly the Strange episode is the best.
  12. True, but that isn't really the argument. The argument is simply "rewards/time should be close to equal across the board", which I still think is a good idea. Yea, my experience is similar. So maybe the last round of AE nerfs was sufficient, but not excessive.
  13. Or am I just behind the times, and in fact this disparity was addressed and is no longer quite so disparate?
  14. I do find this unfair and annoying...but... Overall the increased supply of goods is probably worth the basically minor annoyance. Actually, I take it back. I think this disparity ought to be addressed so that more players will join teams outside of the AE. This is absolutely right: "While farmers try a variety of arguments to defend farming, what they are really arguing for is the special privilege to receive about 10 times the rewards of other people, simply because others choose to enjoy the game differently."
  15. Well, I also didn't say anything about a portal TO Ouro being placed in Cim. What I imagine is you click the portal in Ouro, you are teleported to a deserted spot in Cim, perhaps on top of one of the mountains, with nothing around you.
  16. Use Merit Rewards to get Enhancement Boosters and sell those on the AH. Instant cash.
  17. I didn't say it should take you to the same Spot in Cim. There's no reason the Menders and the Midnighters couldn't have competing entrances.
  18. Even when it works properly, this is a poorly balanced mission.
  19. No, my settings are all at max. And what's even weirder is that this has happened when playing with my friend and he has seen it too, multiple times. So it's not just a visual thing, they really are spawning right on top of us.
  20. This has happened several times in HC and I don't remember it ever happening back in the day. I'll be in a mission and a new group of mobs will spawn right in front of me. Anyone else seeing this?
  21. This very fact is why I don't think it's a problem to have something like this added.
  22. The Echo teleporter is the one that takes you Back in time, so it seemed to make sense. I just think there should be a direct path to Cim from Ouro.
  23. Make up your mind, silly! XD Also, I suggest adding attacks to Cimeroran Surgeons and then adding Surgeons to the Warriors.
