  1. I believe the current balance of the set values the damage debuff secondary effect higher than many players do.
  2. Every travel power is now faster than before. If the fact that they are proportionally slightly different makes it less fun then I'm sorry, but that isn't a reason to change it.
  3. Anyway, no one in this thread has raised any points that were not raised, considered, and rejected during beta. The conversation has already been had and the current balance is what was arrived at after much debate and testing. You would have to raise NEW points to have an adjustment be seriously considered, but no new points have been made.
  4. Except it is no sacrifice. You continue to assert or imply that flyers are losing out compared to other toons and there is simply no basis for that.
  5. Use actual numbers, not percentages. Using actual numbers you'll see the difference in travel time (other than Teleport) is a matter of a couple seconds in most cases. THAT IS PARITY. What you have not figured into your analysis is the relative ease of use of each power. Fly is slower because of how easy it is to use and how it lets you literally get above everything. Super Speed is faster because it has to deal with obstacles. Teleport is faster still because of how much effort it takes. Super Jump is the best of both worlds and as such is smack in the middle. You've made an assumption by declaring that the OLD proportions were "correct", but there's really no basis for that.

  7. No you didn't. You supplied numbers and asserted that they disproved what I said, but they do not. Your numbers show that SS is fastest over a straightaway, such as North/South in Indy Port. If you test somewhere else, like NW/SE in St. Martial or in Dark Astoria, you'll see why they are currently balanced as is. Again, this was gone over and over in beta. They are correctly balanced as they currently are.
  8. No, this has been gone over and over. The current balance is correct. Many numbers were posted.
  9. They have done so. They wanted to make sure the travel powers are always better than the temp power equivalents, they wanted to improve the utility offered by the travel pools by allowing you to stack effects such as CJ and SJ, and they wanted to give value to slotting the powers with or without Sets. I couldn't point you to a specific post, but I clearly remember all of these ideas being offered by devs during beta.
  10. I don't know where you heard mixed opinions. Katana is one of the best Scrapper primaries.
  11. I died in the Provost Marchand mission "Investigate Refugee Island" and I was not given the option to resurrect in my sg base that I usual get.
  12. Also, Fitness should be a power pool again, IOs and Incarnate powers should be removed from the game, and you should have to go to Icon to change your costume and to Wentworth's to use the market. /s Change is difficult, but these changes were good ones.
  13. I have an Ice/Temporal Blaster that is pretty great.
  14. I like the changes, though I completely understand wanting the old way. You can have them work basically the old way by making a keybind that switches between them such as /bind f "powexectoggleon hover$$powexectoggleon fly".
  15. We can scratch the When if that makes it too complicated. I'm just surprised there haven't been any announcements in quite a while.
  16. I haven't seen an update announcement in a long while, unless I missed one. Any word on what's coming and when?
  17. I don't know exactly why, but I think there was some difficulty in making the animations shorter without changing them in the ways that are bothering you. The ultimate decision was that being Way Faster than before was worth the slight animation change. I completely agree with that decision. Teleport is way more fun now than before.
  18. Teleport and Recall Friend are the only ones that were made shorter, I believe. That's why it's no longer the same.
  19. The teleport pool had it's animations shortened so that it's faster.
  20. I would love this but face facts: it's not possible without corporate financial support. Also, I would not want this without the ability to skip cutscenes.
  21. More cutscenes. Voice acting. More immersive storylines. A different approach to animation times and rooting. More instance specific combat mechanics that require player response.
