  1. I do have a second account, but no one with that contact unlocked yet. I'll look into the Gossamer arc. That alone will get me the badge.
  2. I believe the official time for a Carnie mission I did with a PuG was around 90 minutes. I almost made a joke about not getting merits for that kind of time frame. I've had little desire to PuG after that and enjoyed going back to soloing.
  3. So this is going to be way easier than I was thinking. Good to know. I have a number of villains I would like to keep as such and seeing how easy it was to get to 21 without trying, I figure I'll skip the work around.
  4. Melee ATs can be mezzed, but it its leaning towards end game mobs, and I don't think they get detoggled in those cases, ie fear. I can see Concentration being like FA.
  5. I see I am at 21 out of 25 signature heroes defeated. Outside of the typical SFs, and DA, what are places/missions to look for them? Can they be repeated if say doing them via SFs?
  6. Street Justice. Because the the whole set is combos and the animations might be the best overall in terms of lack of overly long ones. I have lost count the times I use CU and go, "To the moon, Alice."
  7. Wait for Page 3 to hit as the set overall is getting a buff.
  8. Clearly you need to do Claws since you can have SA do a flip. Looking at the Pylon spreadsheet, DB is showing up more at the top for those in the list. Claws is close though.
  9. I lean on picking the character for what sticks. I have my playstyle, and those tend to be the builds which work out for me in the end in terms of getting to 50 and seeing how far I want to get them into Incarnates and fully IOed. I do try out builds where something might be more on the unknown side. They do tend to fall in the category of 2nd tier in terms of fun though.
  10. I would only do +4/x8 before level 45 in rare cases. I've done FF twice. One did have a high number of deaths, but leveling took care of things in the end.
  11. Here's a good way to look up numbers. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/archetype.html?at=defender https://cod.uberguy.net/html/archetype.html?at=corruptor I know at one point if something debuffed res on a defender at 30%, then it as a secondary would be at 22.5%. Rain/DoT powers do better on a Corr due to scourge. Which way to go when each set seems better on different ATs is up to you. My lean would be Corr for faster end game teams, but then I would be a hypocrite based on what I rerolled from a Corr to a Def this past weekend.
  12. Makes me actually wonder if I should swap out Shadow Maul for Cross Punch on a Dark. I'll save that for an experiment later on. The biggest reason it works on my Stalker is I can take the time to line up the attack better.
  13. I was on a level 16 Dark/staff tank soloing a CoT mission. A single +1 LT made me leave the mission to restock on inspirs. I admit to having nothing slotted, but that was a humbling moment. Tough to imagine a brute needing to do the same. I hit 17 and slotted in some IOs. I'll convert them to attuned when I get a chance. Dark/elec was what won me over for brutes as well. My only issue now would be wanting to go Rad/elec, but I already have a Rad/bio, and I can only tolerate those two long animations so much.
  14. I led a SG on live. I prefer doing a solo SG. I did a 9 or so month break from the game, and I would prefer to do that as needed and not have to worry about being part of an SG during that time. Plus, I have like 30+ characters with rerolling ones all the time. I do need to seek out some channels as that's likely the best way for me to do things. I am getting more and more down to soloing and teaming just for TFs. Non TF PuGs is well, a wide range of experiences to say the least. Case in point, a team was doing red side missions. I grab a character. Enter the mission and see they must have gone to the end of it skipping various mobs. We clear a couple mobs and mission ends. We exit. I hang out for a few minutes with zero communication happening. One person literally walks around my character, which is well, awkward. I ask about a new mission. Nothing. Both players eventually make their way to Pocket D and go back blue side. I don't think I got a bar of experience for my time. Flip side, ran another FF at +4 with the lead having 2x XP. I think I got 6 levels out of it and zero deaths on my end.
  15. Somehow I missed this. I too have teamed with the OP and have repeatedly stated I gignored them in game.
  16. The questions are how far have they come and how far do they have to go? From what I know of CoT, they have a long way to go. Also, GW2 and SC2 had at least something to build off of, see lore, art, etc. Technically the successors are starting from the ground up and no track record of quality. Blizzard can afford to take a decade to develop a game since they got WoW money. If something like CoT needs 20 years of development, are volunteers really going to be down for that?
  17. Going to have to see about the changes on beta to Savage pan out, but those look good at a glance.
  18. Counterpoint: I don't. Oh, they are serious as I have teamed with them. I have given legit responses to their posts. People have even asked the OP legit questions. We get nada for the response. So no, I don't take them seriously on the forum.
  19. I found I like my builds more by not suing it. If you play red side, it is vastly easier to grab the needed badges for the bank missions for the accolade. Yes, I know about the way to still get that accolade. I'm still getting it old school on a villain.
  20. I had a level 50 Earth/storm on live which I played a ton. Not farmed. No 2x XP. No Incarnates. Not even IO sets. Old school having teams play stupid taking on up to three mobs at different spots on a map full knowing I had everything under control. I even soloed it. I also have a level 50 Plant/storm here. And yes, I have done Storm on a defender. I'm sure it isn't intended, but this response and its overall tone is disrespectful as hell. To imply your experience somehow trumps anything someone else could imagine when I literally spent numerous hours playing the builds. Holy hell. FYI, I'm not alone with saying Storm is better on a controller. Certainly there is an argument for it. Storm might not need an immobilize power as I certainly didn't always use it, but mobs do need to be on FR in order to have the -res applied. Also, the ability to stack AoE disorients on a mobs is another a reason to pick Dark and a pro for controllers.
  21. Currently no. My Water/temp is the next up for a end game build, but I don't know when that will be. I tend to do a search for one and go from there. I have yet to really do one from the ground up, but I keep learning and taking notes as I go, so I think I might be able to make a decent one if I tried. End isn't much of an issue so it will mostly be getting capped ranged def and going from there.
  22. Correct. Last I knew the top times for farming where Rad/fire.
  23. Billionaires give their info out for free. Not much research to do. Earn merits to gain converters or just buy the converters. Place stacks of bids on level 41 Doctored Wounds. Convert to a heal at the cost of 2 converters. Sell at "2 mill" a pop since it converts to a rare. Rinse repeat. Start up cost is what? 200k to do it one time, and then multiply from there? I did this for a time as a way to fund builds. I would literally IO out full builds with no restrictions in terms of costs and not even play the character until the new build was done so no farming either. I can log in the morning and in a few minutes do everything I need to do while eating breakfast. I hadn't done anything this morning so I did a lunchtime check-in. From log-in to log-out a character dealing with level 50 common recipes. 1 min. My main. 4 minutes, but almost nothing really had happened, so it was mostly me dragging my feet and trying to see how long it might take to mimic if I had a busier day. I can't imagine taking more than 5 minutes. I'm roughly a 9 year vet. I want to play to, which is why I handle my market stuff outside of what I consider regular gaming and can be done in a literal few minutes during downtime. P.S. Crushing Impact, Thunderstrike, Red Fortune, Titanium Coating and other sets should also follow the same conversion pattern from uncommon to rare within the same type of sets at level 41 with various amounts of profit. You can absolutely do different recipes at different level ranges, but you will likely need to convert more than once which likely means possibly using more converters overall and more time although more potential for currency.
