Burnt Toast

There used to be a zip file that someone made all the powerset icons and inspiration icons - you could download it and replace the icons you see in game for everything. I really hope one day someone does something similiar as the new ones (that were made to replace the ones on live) looked so much better.

Sadly that i snot it. It was a zip that you could download and it gave new skins/looks to the inspiration icons and all the powers as well. They were more tech looking and frankly far superior to what was in game at the time. Man... I was really hoping someone would still have a link or the files 😞

Min/Maxing simply means building your character in the most optimal way for performance and survival. With a farmer this can be building your character to farm a specific type and deal out the most damage (fire resistance+fire defense+damage). With other characters it is usually something along the lines of defense/resistance+regen+recharge+endurance+damage/control/buff. I will tell you this though - ignore 95% of the builds on the forums/discord and find a friend who is good at doing builds instead. I find most forum builds to be robbing Peter to pay Paul and leaving your character deficient in one or two aspects instead of trying to maximize numerous aspects of a build.

I seem to remember on live that people would make different icon packs that you could download that would change the look of power and inspiration icons in game. Does anyone remember these? Where they can be found?

No thanks. This has been brought up numerous times and I have yet to see a legitimate reason to support such an idea.

I would like to see a wand/staff choice for all the blasts/blast sets that do not already offer a weapon as a choice.

Some of them had taunt and some of them had taunt auras. Even without taunt - I have never seen him run like this.

So the ITF was last week's WTF and boy did we say WTF a few times. In the STOP ROMULUS mission with Requiem - every time we would defeat the computer and start "arresting" Romulus he would run like a crazy person. I have never seen this before. I mean he ran... all over...trying to get away from us. On one attempt he actually ran back up to his spawn point. Is this WAI? I have never seen him run this much before.

I did... and I don't like it. I don't think sets need to become gimmicky in order to buff them. MA was my main on live and now on HC - I have zero issues with the set as it is. My SG runs an all MA scrapper team for trials/tfs - all with different secondaries. I am not objecting to a buff... just not a fan of these types of gimmicks which dictate when you should use certain powers in order to buff other powers.

No thank you - I have no issues with the way MA is now. Adding a pseudo dual blades system is not anything people have asked for in MA. I don't like to be told that to get the most out of a power I have to do a different specific power before it - THAT is one of the reasons people don't play dual blades. IF anything were to be done to MA (which I don't think it needs) I would prefer a looser combo/stack building system where you have builders and finishers.

I personally wouldn't mind the ability to have more than 4 power pools. I don't think there is any need to retool them, but would like to be able to take 5-6 different power pools on a few toons.

That's all fine and dandy.... just stop saying things can be done easily when in truth they cannot. I honestly have no issues with suggestions, but belittling the time and effort it would take is just hyperbolic.

Gotta love when people say the devs can do things "easily...." If you are a programmer - please send them needed code that is so easy to implement.... If you're not a programmer...then how do you know it is so "easy" to do?

I like knowing when I created a toon...interesting to see how long it takes me to get them to 50. and other milestones.

To the OP: If you considered the replies here hostile I am not sure what to say to you. People addressed your issue with the limited information you gave and provided other methods to obtain recipes/IOs. Your posts come across very negative and frankly you are the one being hostile and accusatory. As far as your (mis)perception on the gaming community of CoH - you will find that 99.9% of people who play this game genuinely try to help others - we may not hold your hand or play into your victimization, but we will tell you what is what and offer advice/alternatives to help you. Use the forums...don't use the forums... your choice.

The OP didn't mention anything about any other secondary.. they stated they could not get a good build for less than 600 mill.. build provided with no purps..atos..winter..etc... seriously. They said they couldnt do it with Ninjitsu without ATOs..winter..etc.... so..... I showed you could.

Again.. not the build I am using or would use.. just did it super quick to show that with cheap sets you can get that. With ATO you can get more melee obviously. But I made a quick cheap build... hence why the DW - cheaper etc... point being.. you can soft cap without purples, atos, or winter sets. So no I do not think storm kick needs the defense bonus as was requested. End of discussion... point made. Too many people come here to argue and use semantics..... I am gonna actually play the game now 🙂

Riiight. I mean seeding of recipes would give people who play the market a brand new playground to make billions upon billions which would result in a lot of enhancements and no recipes.... LOL.

This is a modification of my build. No ATOs..no purples...no winter sets... and DEFINITELY not a 600 mill build. You can even take out the LoTG +rech to save more money if you want and go with Ageless Destiny if that suits you. I have done hundreds of builds for people of all budgets... as low as 100 mill and high as 1.5 bill..... Did you actually read the responses? Your post comes across as playing quite the victim and somewhat caustic for no reason. Recipes may not be available because MOST people craft them and place the actual enhancement up for sale. The ONLY recipe/enhancement I have had difficulty with the past 7 months were MAYBE 4-5 ATO ones. With those I simply used converters or used merits to buy them. So yes you are right - there are not a lot of recipes available for certain sets, BUT there are already crafted IOs and crafter attuned IOs available for sale. I have actually found that the crafted enhancements for certain ones like LoTG are cheaper to buy than the recipe, salvage, and crafting fee. Instead of coming on here and being negative, assuming others are going to gang up on you... post your question/suggestion and read the actual replies. The enhancements are out there - if you HAVE to have the recipe so you can craft them... that is your choice and you are limiting yourself. FYI seeding of recipes would simply cause some people to buy them all up - and... craft and sell them.

You can easily soft cap ninjistu without expensive sets. FYI Purples do not give Defense bonuses. The problem with people and their builds costing so much is a lot of people are impatient and want the IO recipe/enhancement NOW so they pay higher. You can get 45% position defense with Generic IOs/lower end sets and the steadfast and glad armor procs.
