  1. Not a fan of people who want to equalize sets... just because. The more changes made to equalize...the less difference each set has to offer. Electric is a great armor set. It can easily be slotted to have great resistance to most everything. My Elect tank has 80%+ resistance to everything (capped resistance to S/L/E) but negative and toxic.... which is perfectly fine since no set should have amazing resistance to everything. It also doesn't worry about end drain with 216% resistance to it. My tank also has over 15 points of KB protection...when it is on the ground. The frickin power is called GROUNDED for a reason. In order to use it... you must be on the ground. Sets are known for their differences...both good and bad. A lot of these proposed changes I see on these forums want to equalize everything which to me takes away from the flavor of individual sets. I have no issues with Grounded...none. Changing it because people don't like playing on the ground seems silly. A lot of powers require you to be on the ground.... Electric Armor has been around since Issue 6 (7 years on Live) and there is no reason to change it nearly 15 years after release. The more changes that are made...the more this game becomes less like the original game and loses its feel of being more like what people were used to playing. It seems like so many suggestions want to make everything not only more powerful, but be the same. To that I say...no thanks. I like the diversity in powersets... I like challenges that certain sets make you push through. It seems the suggested power creeps are aimed more at creating "I win" characters than uniqueness and varied playstyles.
  2. I mainly farm to PL my own characters or those of friends. I RARELY farm solo... usually have someone in Discord with me chit chatting while I farm our/their toon. Originally I farmed to PL and gain influence, but now influence is not an issue at all. I do not farm very often anymore truly.... When I do it is usually just to get a toon to 50 so ... 3 hours or so.
  3. Then don't take Barrier? 🙂
  4. Thanks so much for doing this Peanut. Team Paragon Inc. had a lot of fun doing this. Looking forward to the next Olympics 🙂
  5. Hyperbolic much? No thanks... I like it just how it is.
  6. My team is doing practice runs... Will contact you later with all their info.
  7. They already have the ability to reach every player - through the large message pop-ups that appear when you login every now and then. They use these to announce many different things - new patch info, contest info, etc. Every HC player has a forum account. If they do a polling announcement and direct people to the forums to view detailed information on something they want feed back on - that would actually be better than an in-game poll in my opinion. A detailed forum thread would be able to give more information and allow others to see various points of views before casting a vote. Would it be as easy as an in-game poll? No - i t would require that you take a few minutes to think about something instead of just clicking a button or two to dismiss the game poll. I would rather be given as much information as possible when it comes to voting for something than a simple "We are thinking of working on A, B, C, or D...which would you prefer?" A system of this kind would not require any new coding and would be more beneficial in helping others decide on their vote. I would also like a caveat placed in huge bold letters at the top that the poll/votes are not a determining factor for what WILL be worked on, but rather options that MAY be worked on by HC. Either way I think a polling system is going to cause resentment if everyone can see the poll results - especially if "A" is the highest vote getter, but because "B" was the second highest and comes out first due to technical reasons then prepare for the whole "HC Devs don't even listen to players!!!!!!!!!!"
  8. I just can't with fire/ice/psi melee - the swords look stupid to me. Wish there was alternate animations that could be used - it is what keeps me from rolling those types of characters.
  9. According to ArchVileTerror's "About me" section: Secondary account of VileTerror. Currently active. Next active account: ImpousVileTerror
  10. It's not a coding issue that is stopping HC from doing it - it is a balance issue. Other servers have done a lot of things that have made the game stupidly easy and in the process created major imbalances. HC is focused on maintaining the original feel of the game while addressing some QoL issues, power balance issues, and creating new content/powers that are mindful of overall game balance. Just because you can do something...doesn't mean doing so would be beneficial to the game or the players.
  11. I wish they would move it to the Roleplaying forums....
  12. Speaking of drama....
  13. Nope. It sounds exactly like I thought it should when I first heard the idea proposed.
  14. Hard pass from me - there is greater benefit in it not being a toggle. It really isn't difficult to either have it a toggle or simply click it when it is ready.
  15. So in your only two posts you have decided that being caustic and rude is your best option? I have answered your question... as have others - yes they play the game. Seeing as how this is neither a suggestion nor providing any type of feedback... hopefully this thread gets closed.
  16. Nope. Stop trying to change things that were implemented years before shutdown.
  17. What does it matter if someone else does that? Not sure how this stops YOU from doing a hard mode with the tools already available?
  18. Yes they play on their personal accounts. They do not advertise that @ButteryPopcornPerson is @GM_YourNameHere. Your tone seems somewhat snotty and aggressive... not the best start to your forum posts.
  19. There already is a hard mode.... you can turn off inspirations, no temp powers, etc etc... AND then your team can choose not to do the towers as well.
  20. 11 pages of semantics and bickering... here's hoping this gets locked soon.
  21. LOL.. "it should be pretty simple..."
  22. Please see the other 137 threads like this on why it is a bad idea and will not be implemented on HC.
  23. Again... hyperbole. Defenders are a ranged class as are Corruptors... who both have to invest in mez protection through outside buffs or Clarion... with only a few sets offering any mez protection to the player themselves. A lot of Defenders/Corruptors (TA/Sonic/Cold/Storm/FF/Poison/Traps) have no way to heal themselves and have lackluster "armor" choices. If you honestly think a level 50 Defender/Corruptor can outpace a Sentinel you are mistaken. When it comes to DPA due to buffs/debuffs/armor/heals/damage...etc... the Sentinel wins in the DPA race. The only ranged AT that can shell out more damage consistently is a blaster - IF they can survive. Again.. I am not saying that the Sentinel is perfect, but trying to color it as horrible is simply disingenuous and hyperbolic.
  24. Uhhh... Celerity +stealth proc? On My fire/nin (Which has sleath/defense in Shinobi Iri)I just go into middle of mob... buildup+nuke...then FireBall..and then pick any stragglers off.
  25. Defender damage? Uhhhh ok. Blaster: Fire Blast=84.72 Defender: Fire Blast=48.95 Sentinel: Fire Blast=75.79 Blaster: Blaze=170.5 Defender: Blaze=98.5 Sentinel: Blaze=128.4 Resistance Cap=75% - the exact same as a Scrapper Ninjitsu, Energy, SR, and Ice Armor are all easy to get to the softcap of Defense. Range: Can be increase easily with both ATO sets by 20%. 72 feet is plenty "ranged" for a ranged character... heck 60 feet is as well - that keeps you out of melee and AoE attack range easily. While the target cap is reduced - most AoE attacks hit 10 targets... which is nothing to sneeze at. The reduction is either by 4 or 6 enemies in almost all the powers. If you want to dislike the AT... that's fine, but using hyperbolic reasoning to justify that dislike doesn't carry weight when the numbers show differently. What you have to take into account is survivability. There has to be SOME trade off. If Sentinels had increased damage, increased resistance, and increased target caps... why would people play Blasters at all? The role; in my opinion, of a Sentinel is someone on the team that doesn't need to be as closely monitored as a Blaster when it comes to buffs/health for survivability. Their role is to damage and be more self sustaining. With ALL that being said... I do think their inherent needs looked at because it seems rather lackluster. I would much rather see something akin to Corruptor Scourge on a Sentinel.
