  1. Any guesstimate on when the next release will be and if it will include the sniper changes, stealth changes, etc etc?
  2. Stop trying to create a situation where you think you are justified in using a developer power. You are not a developer no matter how much you tink you are...plain and simple. FYI calling people out for not spending as much time as you RPing or base building...as if those activities make you a more valuable player? Seriously... just stop. It has already been decided that it will remain a REAL dev power only as it was never intended for players. Nevermind... I am just going to ignore you because frankly your lack of reality and your extreme entitlement issues are just too much to stomach.
  3. It is game breaking in pvp..... which is/was the main concern among the devs. So while it may not be an "i win" button it was very much so an "Phew I won't be killed in pvp" button. I never once insinuated that anyone should not have travel powers... my first post actually stated the contrary since they stated it took 5 mins to get to a mission... told them to invest in a travel power. Since the slash command doesn't make travel any faster/easier (your words)... why all the hoopla on maintaining it.. if it is so under powered? Point is: It is a dev command - was never meant to be used by players. There are already numerous ways to decrease travel time significantly without busting out powers that were never meant to be used by players.
  4. Oh the hyperbole. I don't spend HOURS on travel...or even a "good portion" of my time. You make it sound like it takes 10 mins to get to a mission when on average it takes 30-60 seconds. The following already exist in game to help with travel: Tram Tunnel Oro Portal Mission TP Team Transporter Base Transport LFG Tab Base TPs - which can take a whopping 15-30 seconds to get to your base.. GASP and of course... travel powers. The DEV power is an exploit that is not meant for players as stated by the devs on these forums.
  5. 1. Name calling.. really? that's your initial response. grow up. 2. If you are going to use hyperbole as the basis for your statements - expect a dose of reality in reply. 3. The power IS a dev power - it was never intended for players. There are already multiple powers that do not allow people to cheat in pvp that transport you from zone to zone or to your base. 4. I used it once...
  6. There are many methods to navigate quickly from zone to zone. If it takes you 5 minutes to navigate a zone you may want to invest in an actual travel power. You are right... this is City of Heroes - not City of I Win Buttons. Heroes superspeed, super jump, fly etc... just saying.
  7. No thanks. All these complete re-design suggestions have gotten way out of control. Maybe stop trying to completely alter the game that many of us played for 8.5 years? Storm's powers have a reason behind them and if you can't see that or play the set because of that... maybe the set isn't for you.
  8. The community is full of people who have played from launch to sunset... that doesn't mean we have to agree with every suggestion made. Your suggestion would lead to many more issues than it would solve. If you cannot take others not agreeing with your wishes/desires/suggestions... then you may not want to make suggestions in the forums. No suggestion has ever received 100% support from the forum community. If you cannot take others telling you why they don't want your suggestion...that is on you. Do not try to make this out to be a "bad community" because we don't agree with you - that says WAY more about you than it does the actual community.
  9. I don't play scrappers, brutes, or tanks - Mainly Corruptors, Defenders, and Controllers. And still... gonna say No to this... it's not needed.
  10. Talk about a first world problem - ugh my game makes me push buttons and click things too much!!!!! This game is already super easy...so gonna have to say no to this suggestion.
  11. No thanks... badges are reflective of what THAT specific character has done. Badges are tied to accolades (even exploration ones) and thus should have to be earned specifically for that character.
  12. No... What's next... getting xp for base editing? I spend A LOT of time base editing.. my reward - the finished base/room. Your reward for roleplaying is the actual rp experience - you should not earn any xp for roleplaying. You choose not to participate in fighting.. much like base editors...marketeers...etc - you gain something different from your choice.
  13. It's not needed - as long as everyone has their alpha slotted I have no issues. Do I prefer people to be +1 - yep, but will take anyone who is just alpha slotted.
  14. Except it wasn't their intent. It was planned... everything was set for it to be live...and then it wasn't. The power text was never changed to reflect this. For MANY issues we (Beta testers) and the Devs discussed this - as late as Issue 24 beta where it was decided (again) that the -Def would not be a smart/logical/acceptable mechanic of Rage. So no it wasn't their intent. It was decided by the man himself that it would not go Live. It had already been discussed to change the power text to reflect that the -Def was not part of the power. When these changes went live due to the bug fix... there should have been something to offset the -Def aspect before; or shortly thereafter, to put Rage back to the state it was when Issue 24 was going live. For the record... I actually don't care - I don't have a SS character and never plan on making one - even if the -Def was reverted. BUT I hate seeing where people spread misinformation.... this change was not supported by the original Devs - hence why it was never implemented on Live.
  15. Ugh... wish Titan Network wasn't involved... oh well. Hopefully their involvement isn't too much...rather HC stay as much HC as possible . Just not a fan of Titan since about 2013....
  16. A community bank for a SG is a horrible idea sorry. When someone takes all the money and quits SG then what? All they would have to say is that they were told they could have the influence by the SG leader on Skype/Discord etc. I can see a community SG bank causing a lot of issues for players as well as devs.... Email is already linked to your account... If you put an email with 100 mil and your character needs 20... simply put the 80 back... it takes a whopping 7-10 seconds to do.
  17. Seems better suited for the creation of a new AT....
  18. If you wanna be snarky and come across as a jerk that's your choice, but it won't make people agree with you more. There seems to be a propensity for people to become defensive and frankly rude when others do not agree with their suggestions... hate to break it to you, but it's gonna happen. So you can either be that poster who replies all rude and eventually just gets ignored.. or you can temper your replies and make sure they are more mature and be taken seriously. 1. The storage system code is extremely complex and would require a lot of developer time to create what you are asking for... but if you feel like you could do the code in your spare time and share it I am sure the devs would appreciate the help. 2. There is already a system to store recipes either character wide (at the auction house) or account wide (email)... just because you don't like those methods.. doesn't mean they are not effective. 3. Cool down timers... never existed - so that was a new feature that allowed players to do something they never could before. Same with color coded names... new feature that you couldn't do before. You can already store recipes... it may seem inconvenient to you, but the function already exists. 4. See #1 about the /ah command inside a base. This would tax the system incrediblly as each person inside a base would be opening up their own instance of the auction house...inside a separate instanced map. Had you done a modicum of research on this topic you would have seen this explained numerous times over and over on why it would be an absolutely horrible idea for the HC servers.
  19. Absolutely not. There is no need for any further "help" in the market system. No I am not a marketeer, but I also don't think we should make any changes that will affect those who do play the market. Here's a little bit of info you may not know... Enhancements/Recipes will only go for as much as people are willing to pay. The problem is you get people who are impateint... and who have more influence than you... who don't care if it is 7 or 12 million. Will all recipes get seeded or just the ones you want to buy? If you seed them all then that Impeded Swiftness that goes for 111 right now may be upped to 11,111 - is that fair to someone who wanted that recipe that they now have to pay 100 times more? Who determines what is a fair price? I think 15 million is fair for a LOTG + Rech... While SOME recipes are higher than on live the majority of them are WAY cheaper... remember the Glad Armor +3% Defense... it stabalized at 2 Billion after being as high as 3 billion. I made SO much influence off those recipes/enhancements it wasn't funny (When the announcement came I had 70+ crafted enhancements of that one) - I gave them away for costume contests and to friends because I had mor einfluence than I would ever spend. So no I do not think the market needs any interference... just because you want it doesn't mean you should be able to always get it - especially for cheap. Do what others do... save influence, farm, play the market, convert, etc etc...
  20. Unfortunately the game has turned into an easy-mode version of Live....
  21. I only have two episodes left and already looking forward to season 2. I never read the comics so the whole "Hughie should be a Scot" thing isn't an issue with me. Then again though I think most tv shows/movies that use a print source material do not have to go by every single minute detail in order to be their own stand alone version and do it well.
  22. Gonna start watching later - VERY happy to see they put it all up at once and not one episode each week.
  23. As a proud Fire/Kin Corruptor I can say this.... there is a huge difference between theory and actual game play. I do not spend the majority of my time buffing/siphoning speed - I don't need siphon speed to have perma hasten. I speed boost between fights.. and then FS at beginning of fight... heal if needed - same if i notice end issues with anyone I will use Transference. The rest of the time I am destroying baddies with my 400%-500% damage. Insta-Snipe (22% not 22.5%) is easily achievable with Tactics and Kismet proc. Blaze, Insta-Snipe and Fire Blast are my single target attack chain AFTER I do Rain of Fire and Fire Ball. I do have my nuke and sometimes will use that after FS and then drop RoF and Fire Ball and then ST. Not sure why some people think you don't have time to fire off 5-6 attacks, but I can say from a lot of experience with Fire/Kin Corruptor on Live and HC - I find this to be easily doable.
  24. Never started in GC. See no need for it... would be just as empty (actually probably more) than it was before it was changed. Would rather the HC team spend their time/resources moving forward...not backward.
  25. Edited - moved from Indom to Excelsior - took my 50's and went to a more active server.
