  1. For this thread, the only thing coming to mind is... Wisdom is knowing not to make a fruit salad with tomatoes.
  2. Alternatively, if you didn't mind not playing a set though to level 50, but wanted to see how it worked, you could always use the alternate builds on the same character. That would mean that one Kheld could be Tri-form, Lobster-human, and Squid-Human...depending on which build you had selected at the time. But, that would defeat the purpose of this endeavor, I know.
  3. level 50 tip missions can be done in the lower level zones.
  4. The bulky sword interferes with the care bear stare pose. Also, you might catch a deflection from the blade of the sword and hit yourself. It's for your own protection.
  5. Now, I think I'll have to play a red-side character named Rouge Rogue. Probably have him have a laundry mishap and dress him in pink or something...
  6. I though is was with Going Rogue, but I don't play Rouge or Gold sides very often anyway... 😁
  7. I don't really see using Shadow-maul while holding a 6' lead pipe all that feasible or immersive. I know, you did say "(maybe with a few exceptions)" I would say that probably half of the powers you could use in addition to the Staff power-set (or any weapon power-set for that matter) would run into the same issues.
  8. My Staff/SR scrapper doesn't need to redraw after tossing a knife (Natural Origin power) at a foe. But, I've noticed that I've had to after some of my SR clicky powers fire off on occasion. And definitely after Sands of Mu fires off. But then, the same thing happens for some of my other characters that have sets with no redraw selected. (I'm looking at you Dual Pistols)
  9. Well, you know that the moon landing was faked, right? 😉
  10. One thing I learned long time ago was that any verbal bully (and that's what a passive-aggressive person is in most cases) wants is a reaction from their intended target. The best way to foil their tactic is to not react. They'll get bored and go somewhere else. That's one of the reasons why I usually won't respond or engage in a discussion immediately. I try to give myself time to look at the situation rationally and in a calm emotional state. I will admit, I don't always follow that bit of advice. But, those are rare occasions.
  11. The main requirement for this would.d be for everyone to actually grow up. Unfortunately, not everyone has that accomplished that achievement and gotten the badge for the Responsible Adult Accolade.
  12. I have an AR/Dev blaster. Her snipe can, at level 26, 1 shot minions that are +2 (or more), LTs at +1, and almost 1 shot a boss at +0. This is with generic IOs slotted, so no set bonuses. Of course, all of that depends on the foe's resists. I'm sure some of the other power-sets with a snipe could do just as well, if not better. Also, I have another blaster that uses the Celerity: Stealth enhancement in Super Speed. Makes for a nice in your face start for a Fire/En Blapper.
  13. I believe, early on in live, Fly had an Acc debuff. I don't recall if it was still there at shutdown or not. never really paid it much attention. HC might have changed it along with a few other things when the game was resurrected.
  14. I have a character, AR/Dev blaster, that I am working on leveling with just level 25 IOs. I sell all of the set recipes I get as well as all the rare and uncommon salvage at the AH. Then I purchase what ever level 25 generic IO recipes I need for my slots as I get them. Currently, at level 25, I have about 10 mill Inf. I might start working on getting sets when I reach 30 or 35. I figure, by the time I hit 50, I'll be able to afford most of the sets that I'll want to get.
  15. Prized stallion for the breeding farm?
  16. Ancient Romans can tend to mess up a Def focused build, what with the -def they all seem to have.
  17. Not quite the responses I was expecting...But, this is CoH after all. The unexpected is the norm.
  18. You know, you can tell a lot about a woman by the contents of her purse...
  19. When my controller runs with a couple of blaster buddies (on x8), I do corner pulls and break LoS. Why the controller is doing the pulling, I don't know...
  20. One time, back on live, was when Arilou (my Illusion/FF controller) ended up temporarily Tanking for a team of 8 during a Crey Revenant mission. He juggled 2 PP bosses while his PA and the rest of the team dealt with a third boss and the rest of the spawn. I think only one of the PP bosses MoGed. I think from that point on, Arilou acted more like a scrapper with summons than a controller.
  21. I have mine set to 5fps for the inactive window.
  22. I tend to go by the belief that everyone has a modicum of common sense...until they prove me wrong. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of people prove me wrong. 90% of that was from "political correctness", the other 10% was usually preceded by the phrase "Hey, watch this!".
  23. Which humans are you referring to? The reasonable ones or the unreasonable ones? What arbitrary point would be acceptable to everyone? I understand where they're coming from. Volunteers for a project that a takes a lot of time and effort. I understand why they did a generic ban. I don't really agree with it. But, I understand it. I've been in management. I know that there are times that there isn't any way to make the right choice. Acting like a grown up starts at home and requires people to take responsibility for their own actions. Unfortunately, many people would rather pass the buck. I have no problem with the Devs/GMs deciding to generic people with the word corona in their name. They can generic people with the word alpha in their name. I just want them to be aware of where it could lead. I also take exception to people who are not Devs/GMs who tout such actions as a great idea.
  24. I remember the Cult of UniqueDragon.
  25. It's called a slippery slope. Once you start instituting restrictions for one thing. Then, when something else is deemed, insensitive to use, that gets restricted as well, because a precedent has already been set. Someone somewhere is always finds something offensive and will want it restricted from use. Where do you draw the line? Personally, I prefer freedom of choice, over needless restrictions. In my opinion, this would be considered a needless restriction.
