  1. We're power-creeped enough as it is.
  2. Procs will go off in Ice Storm. What you're probably seeing is the fact that Ice Storm puts up so many (tiny) damage numbers that the game can't display them all, so when the procs go off you won't notice it unless you're watching the enemy health bars or the combat log closely. That said, I have the Superior Frozen Blast proc in my Blaster's Ice Storm, and I don't see mobs getting immobilized all that much, so procs don't seem to have a good activation rate in Ice Storm to begin with. As for your build: Freeze Ray is the highest DPA attack in the set now (besides Blizzard), so it's kind of a waste to slot it for Holds. Ice Sword is not that great, being only a little stronger than your second-weakest attack, so you might consider dropping it for Freezing Touch and slotting that for Hold instead. Why do you have that Decimation: Acc/End/Rech in Ice Blast? You've got oodles of accuracy from set bonuses, so it makes more sense to put the Thunderstrike: Dam/End/Rech in there and get the six-slot bonus from Thunderstrike. Your slotting for Stamina and Frigid Protection is kind of silly. Four-slotting Performance Shifter like that gives you 2.5% extra recovery, which is less than you'd get putting a -3 training enhancement in Frigid Protection. None of those set bonuses are really any good, so you should just move two slots to Frigid Protection, and put 2 50+5 End Mod IOs and a Performance Shifter proc in FP, and one 50+5 End Mod IO and a Performance Shifter proc in Stamina. That'll give you the most possible Recovery with that number of slots, and you're gonna need that if you're gonna be running Tough, Weave, Hover, and occasionally Snow Storm in a fight. Lastly, for Build Up and Aim, your slotting could be improved depending on how you use them. If you tend to alternate them, that slotting's good. However, if you prefer to use them both at once for maximum burst, you should swap the slottings. When you use both, you necessarily burn some of the buff time of one while casting the other, so you should always Aim first and then Build Up, so you're not wasting any of its larger damage boost using Aim. That goes double if you're using the Gaussian's proc, since it only lasts 5 seconds.
  3. The lieutenant pets are not great; they're about as strong as a perma-pet from a control set. As an incarnate power with 1/3rd uptime, they won't set the world on fire. However, going Core gives both pets a 25% damage boost at tier 4, that and the fact that there are two attackers means Core Superior pets are putting out much more damage than Radial Superior.
  4. Longbow are very good. I'm not a Radial Lore user, though, I find them all too weak.
  5. Plasma Blast - Energy Energy Barrage - Energy Grenade - Smash/Lethal Note that Plasma Blast and Energy Barrage are also both about 3 times as strong as Grenade.
  6. I think you better recheck the Longbow Lore, because the majority of its damage is decidedly not S/L.
  7. Everything on that page listed as Global will function like a set bonus and shut off if you exemplar more than three levels below the enhancement. However, you don't need to memorize that page, because any enhancement that doesn't give enhancement values to the power you put it in will function exactly the same no matter what level it is, so you can always just buy the recipe at the lowest level. And if you're buying it as an enhancement from the market, skipping the crafting process, the price is exactly the same if you buy it attuned.
  8. Then it wouldn't be clickbait.
  9. The whip attacks only exist for fiery, elemental whip attacks like the hellfire whip in Demons or Aurora Pena's psionic whips. Pistols and Street Justice could be cool, though.
  10. Combustion in Fire Manipulation used a sword inner symbol, similar to Fire Sword Circle, even though it isn’t an elemental weapon attack. A generic damage symbol was more accurate, but a generic damage symbol with a PBAoE border was being used as the icon for Blazing Aura (now Cauterizing Aura). Changing the inner symbol to the Damage Over Time symbol frees up the generic damage symbol for Combustion. This change to the symbol was applied to most/all damage aura powers in the game.
  11. Kinetic Melee is best on Stalkers. They get a real Build Up, Assassin’s Strike replaces the “eh” Repulsing Torrent, and Burst has a 100% chance to crit from Hide.
  12. Recall Friend, unlike Assemble the Team, Summon Teammates, and the old Fold Space, is single-target. The inner symbol of those powers implies multiple targets being affected at once, so it was changed to the generic teleportation symbol.
  13. I see you posted in the icon pack thread, so I see what's happening here. Recall Friend is one of the powers the icon pack changes. If you took a moment to look at Recall Friend, you'd see that it is in fact using the icon image that you're seeing in your macros. If you want the old icon back, you just have to go to the folder where the changed icon files are (inside your CoH installation folder, it's data -> texture_library -> GUI -> Icons -> Powers) and remove the file Teleportation_RecallTeleport.texture from that folder.
  14. I assume things cost things because of a scheme set into place by evil marketeers to separate us from our stuff because they hate the idea of anyone having stuff besides themselves.
  15. If the pack contains a replacement file for a power icon, any time the game uses that icon, be it for a power or a macro, it will use the replacement rather than the default.
  16. I don't believe they ever posted anything to that effect. If anything they were simply talking about the then-new Merit Reward system.
  17. We didn't, though. Prices were set entirely by the players. Homecoming has far more safeguards in place to prevent inflation.
  18. I don't spend every day on the auction house either, I just sell my drops and play merit-awarding activities and I've fully IOed six characters. It can be done. There's no need for more safeguards on the market.
  19. How were they scammed? They paid a price they were willing to pay.
  20. That's the image for Recall Friend. Go ahead and link it in the chat window and you'll see.
  21. If that were true the 12 million inf price point on LotGs you were talking about wouldn't have nearly halved almost immediately.
  22. Teleportation_FriendTeleport is not the name of the icon for any power, so naturally you're going to get a broken image if that's what you pass the macro_image command. Why don't you post an image of the macro you get with Teleportation_RecallTeleport?
  23. There's no reason it would use the Recall Friend icon for me but not for you.
  24. /macroimage Teleportation_RecallTeleport <whatever> <whatever> works as expected for me.
  25. Why would you need cars when you have the emperor’s flawless public transportation infrastructure? Hail Cole!
