  1. Have you tried getting some Range bonuses on your characters? It's subtle, but once you get used to them it's hard to go back. They're great for cones, especially, even though they don't make the cones any wider, since the area of effect still gets much larger.
  2. This is cool, but I need to point out that one of the most infamous Slow-ers in the game, Tsoo Blue Ink Men (and anything that directly copies them, like the ninjas in the Summer Blockbuster trial), have a Siphon Speed with an unresistable movement Slow debuff. That means that anyone hoping this IO will help against those foes is going to be sorely disappointed. They've long been a major bugbear for anyone hoping to get some good use out of slow resists. Any chance that Unresistable tag could get removed?
  3. This is the big problem with the new Knock implementation. It's very easy for Knock from multiple sources to stack and turn knockdown into knockback. In the old system, that was nearly impossible, outside of, IIRC, putting knockdown procs into certain patch powers. I think fixing that should be a priority for the team.
  4. What if we named it "Dealt With Who Smelt It", then it sounds like it's a description of what the badge is for, too. Oh no, it took no time at all for "dealt" to lose all meaning
  5. I could see that. Stone Skin is now the strongest defensive passive in the game by a fairly comfortable margin, stronger than other previous contenders like Resilience, Tough Hide, or Bane Spider Armor Upgrade, yet available much earlier.
  6. Ah, like in Pokémon
  7. Definitely maybe for Scrappers, but Brutes and Tankers are probably gonna want their taunt aura early.
  8. It feels like this is the time to do some power reordering in this set. Brimstone is all the way at tier 8, and 26/35 is a long time to make a character wait for their primary protection from fire attacks, given how common they are. Minerals, on the other hand, is a tier lower than that, even though psychic damage is very rare below the 30s outside of Praetoria.
  9. Force Bubble just has the repel symbol. It might be the only power with that symbol (at least in the base game), but repel is all it does, so that means it has the symbol for repel, by default. Crushing Uppercut shares that symbol with all the combo finishers in Street Justice, so it's meant to indicate the powers in that set that are combo finishers. As for Savage Melee, it never went to beta before the shutdown, but if it had you can bet I'd've been there raising a stink about the symbols. Tombstone and Meteor don't have any unique effects; Tombstone is a standard snipe and the only thing really different about Meteor is the delay on it doing damage, and neither even interacts with the Seismic Pressure mechanic.
  10. The set gets Build Up for +ToHit, and as a Blaster exclusive set you'll also probably have Aim or equivalent from your primary, too.
  11. This change is a little esoteric. Just to try to clarify for anyone who might be confused by this note, this isn't a nerf or anything, it's a straight buff. Fault is basically two attacks in one, now. It still hits every enemy it did before with the same effects, but now it can also hit things in a cone area that might have been missed by the regular effect of the power.
  12. Just so everyone's aware, these changes make the amount of healing the power gives you over time roughly the same as it was prior to the change, while the +HP amount is the same and more easily permeable. It's basically a power you want to use as soon as it's up, since the heal is too weak now save you from major trouble. Personally I wasn't a fan of this change in testing. It's now got the same cooldown as Energize in Electric Armor, but with a much weaker heal and no +Regen attached to it. I'm not entirely convinced that the +HP strong enough to make up for that. That said, I'm not a Stone Armor player in general, so I can't get too up in arms about it. Now, the APP versions of Earth's Embrace are unchanged, so I think a name change is in order for either the APP or Stone Armor version. Just changing one or the other to something like Embrace of the Earth should be enough to communicate to players that the powers have different uses and feels to them.
  13. Copying some feedback from the CB: Alright, this is really nitpicky, I know. Sorry. But the icons for Meteor and Tombstone: I don't like them. City of Heroes is far from the only game that uses unique icons for every power; however, it differs from most games in that the icons are descriptive, rather than evocative. Say you had two different powers; one is an attack that the fluff text says is a knife attack that causes bleeding, another is an attack that the fluff text says is a subtle jab with a poisoned needle. Both abilities would be pretty similar; a melee attack that does extra damage over time. In another game with evocative icons, like World of Warcraft or Divinity: Original Sin, the former might be indicated with a picture of a bloody knife, while the latter might have a needle with a drop of a sickly green liquid forming at the tip. In CoH, however, they'd both just use the symbol, to indicate a damage over time effect. It's part of CoH's design to quickly indicate to the player what a power does without using words. Tombstone and Meteor, however, are using evocative icons rather than descriptive ones. Me, I had no idea Tombstone was a sniper attack until I read the description closely. TL;DR I think the powers should continue the trend set by the other sets and use the typical Sniper and Nuke symbols for their icons.
  14. “But I have a family to feed!”
  15. But those aren’t archetype powers
  16. What show stopper here? Does it not count in your mind if Scott didn’t introduce you to Walker?
  17. You can always just walk up to Aaron and talk to him to get his missions. You don't need the introduction.
  18. I had to laugh at the part where he's looking through the settings on the monitor, especially when he thinks it just looks "weird" and goes hunting through settings to see what changed. That's exactly what happens to me. And if any of you reading this post start investing in cutting-edge consumer technology like LG's OLED monitors and TVs...
  19. Sure, but you don't have to have the screen up all the time. You could have something like shelving or cabinets in the same spot. But yeah, other than that, I wouldn't go projector for my primary display. Hm, an OLED display for a computer monitor, though? OLED is very vulnerable to burn-in from my experience. I owned an LG C7 OLED television, and after a year I could see the ghost of Overwatch's ultimate charge meter whenever the screen was showing something red in the same spot. Computers have a lot of UI elements that stay largely unchanging for hours at a time, like Windows's task bar or your web browser's list of tabs. I guess you could use it for only gaming, and have a second monitor for more mundane computer tasks. On the other hand, I guess technology gets better all the time. I have an OLED C9 television now, and still play Overwatch, but no sign of burn-in on the newer model, yet.
  20. I see the advantages in space savings, but other than that projector screens seem like the worst option for gaming and media.
  21. The alarms only sound if the station is in the midst of a breakout attempt
  22. I know, isn’t it great?
  23. If Insight is a weak effect, I would not want to give up +Damage in Concentration to have it give stacks of Insight. Build Ups and Aims that have other effects besides +Dam and +ToHit always have weaker versions of one or both of those effects.
  24. True, but both of those missions are good for badges, which kind of undermines your claim that they’re useless side missions.
  25. Mastermind Protector Bots were recently changed to only cast their bubbles on their owner (they’re AoE now so they buff all the pets at once, too), so it’s possible to make a pet only use certain powers on their summoner
