  1. I would just give every character the pharaoh hood and only show every character from the neck or shoulders up. Then, include lines of dialog that explain that the flashback is happening inside a flooded basement, with chest-deep water, and everyone is wearing the pharaoh’s spare headdresses to keep them dry while they look for the big plug in a hole in the floor that’ll drain out all the water when they pull it.
  2. Make the nightmares in the penultimate stage count. That's at least 3 more chances in a run, with potentially many more.
  3. Interrupt enhancements already do exactly what I thought they did
  4. Why do people think like this? Just because the track record hasn't been perfect in the past we shouldn't make an effort to avoid it where possible?
  5. Male, Female, and Huge all have different head shapes, so every ported hairstyle needs to be modified to fit right on the new head. If you want to do it right, you also need to then check the hairstyle against every other head detail, shoulder option, and torso option to make sure no major clipping issues occur and fix those where they do. Not very low-hanging at all.
  6. What if you slot end reduction in your toggles? What if the player has accolades and set bonuses that increase maximum endurance?
  7. Because it’s possible to code the effects of the powers to suppress while shapeshifted, but not the endurance costs. That’s a lot more work to implement.
  8. By permanent, do you mean you want the effect as a costume option, or for the effect to last the full duration of the power?
  9. This sounds like a feature that they could just put in the actual expansion/replacement for the Paragon Dance Party that’s already in the game.
  10. Bah, you folks are crying over spilled milk, wringing your hands over some excessive force, when neither heroes or villains could possibly hurt more people with their actions than they do just by existing
  11. The numbers are accurate, they're what the base Regen and Recovery of the ATs are, thanks to Conditioning.
  12. That definitely seems like using the carpet of inf method. Gains from boosters are so small on full sets, and you sacrifice your effectiveness while exemplared to boot. I only ever use them for frankenslots and common IOs. That's like 25-30 boosters a build, you're talking about using around 200.
  13. Who is spending a billion inf on 1 build Are you sliding the IOs into the sockets on a carpet of inf and just throwing it out afterwards
  14. What an utterly absurd thing to say. "The lower price of IOs hasn't resulted in more players being able to afford them." Preposterous.
  15. Bopper’s got it in one; 99.9% chance this is the problem right here. “Hidden” status is governed by the Meter attribute. Placate sets Meter to 100%, but it’s triggered off an enemy. The purple patch reduces the effectiveness of powers used on higher-level targets, so if the effect isn’t flagged to ignore level differences, using Placate on a higher-level enemy will only set Meter to 90% or less. No 100% Meter, no Hidden status. Well, you may have discovered it in the video, but others just read the patch notes. <.<
  16. I'm quite certain Apex and Tin Mage have intentionally inflated merit rewards, since they're pseudo-incarnate content.
  17. I can't say one way or the other. In order for a speedrun-esque time to become the median completion time for a piece of content, speedruns literally need to be more than half of all completions of that content. Anecdotally, I don't believe that to be the case for the majority of content. It's only content that is particularly onerous, like the Quaterfield TF or the Cavern of Transcendence trial, where players essentially refuse to run it without the speedrun strategies, where that's likely to happen.
  18. Players who can't afford IOs are a shrinking minority. Homecoming has made the barrier to entry to the IO system lower than it ever was before shutdown. Median completion times are going to reflect that. The useful thing about median is that it's less susceptible to outliers than mean is, and that goes for both top-end and bottom-end outliers. If speeding content happens enough to merit lowering rewards, but the devs choose to ignore that data, it only encourages more speeding of the content.
  19. Incarnates aren’t available in sub-45 content, but they aren’t the reason that that content is being completed faster. The wide proliferation of IOs on Homecoming are responsible for that. Content is being completed faster than ever, with or without Incarnates.
  20. It's median (i.e. average, more or less) completion time. In the Cavern of Transcendence example, stealth or speed runs far outnumbered "normal" runs, helped by the fact that attempting to run the trial the "intended" way was virtually guaranteed to fail.
  21. The whole basis of your suggestion is that the difference between how Placate and Hide put you in Hidden are somehow the cause of Assassin's Strike doing the wrong version of the attack, but the only salient difference between the powers in this context is that Placate gives slightly less Stealth Radius in PvP. Since Stealth Radius isn't what Assassin's Strike checks when deciding between the fast or slow version, the suggestion wouldn't accomplish anything. It's entirely founded on a faulty premise.
  22. Stealth Radius is not an essential component of the Hidden status. It’s governed by the Meter attribute; when a Stalker’s Meter is at 100%, it becomes Hidden. Placate and unsuppressed Hide both set the Meter to 100%. The reason you can still see a Stalker in PvP after it Placates you, but not when it's in unsuppressed Hide, is because Placate gives less Stealth Radius in PvP than Hide.
  23. According to City of Data, Placate and Hide already do the same thing to achieve Hidden status. There's no such thing as "pseudo" Hide.
