  1. The forums would start arguments anyway, even if only the devs could see the results. My prediction: "I voted for A. Everyone knows A is the best" "What are you talking about? Only Nazis like A. C is where it's at." "Everything is great! Be kind to our volunteer devs." "Nerf regen." "Why only choices A through D? All of my friends really want Z!"
  2. I didn't have time to test the Storm blast changes before now, although I did try to follow the feedback threads. But I did roll a storm/storm corr last night and got him to just shy of 30 running DFBs and the TFC task forces. It seems to be about middle of the road to me. It does not appear to be "OMG it's terrible" or "OMG it's the best" at least the way I am playing it. Regarding testing in general: I sympathize with folks who tried something out, voiced concerns, and those concerns weren't addressed. I have certainly been in that group before and it's not pleasant. But I also realize that just because things don't change the way I want them to doesn't necessarily mean that I was ignored. Rather, the devs may disagree or may want to see it in the wild with many players trying out crazy combos before seeing whether a change really needs to be made. I have also been one whose suggestions have been taken a time or two and been accused of being some kind of insider or teacher's pet or something. *Shrug* As my wife tells me, I'm always wrong so I should just get used to it. But I prefer to rage, rage against the dying of the light.
  3. Here's a quick reshuffling of stuff. Regarding endurance: You had Personal Force Field on. You can't attack with that on. You had both Whirlwind and Repulsion field on. Both use a ton of endurance for a toggle. And using them both may lead to stacking KB, even with the KB to KD IO, and the last thing you want is to knock things away from your bombs. I substituted those for Grant Invisibility and Repulsion Bomb. But if you want those back, I would only take one and I would slot some endurance reduction on top of the KB to KD. I shuffled some slots around so that you would get the benefits earlier . . . or at all. For example, the Kismet +tohit only works when toggled and you can't attack in PFF, so you would never get the advantage. So I moved it up to Combat Jumping so that you get it much earlier and in a toggle that costs almost no endurance. I would probably do other stuff, but no time now.
  4. Should that say: - "'Unforgettable': Log-in during the month of May for City of Heroes' 19th anniversary. "? Or is it from April 28 - May 28?
  5. Clockwork King and Frostfire together again for the first time? Or do they merge into ClockFrost FireKing?
  6. Maybe they have other things like the Halloween event that can be a source of Aethers. If nothing else, at least there will be an annual event where folks can pump up their Aether stash. But I would hope for more. OH! Could we add a chance for Aethers to drop in Super Packs? That would add another source of Aethers and another Inf sink. Some would use them, some store them, and others would sell.
  7. I just had a crazy idea, but not sure that it's codable in this system. Could you make a stun (or any mez really) that is more powerful at lower levels and less powerful at higher levels? That way it is more helpful at lower levels where just having a single extra opponent can be life or death vs later levels where you have multiple ways of either eliminating the opponent faster, better personal survivability, or other forms of mitigation.
  8. I continue to believe that Aethers should be awarded to any character that runs the weekly, not just level 50 characters.
  9. Celtic Flea made it to 50+1 and is working on accolades and other incarnates. It was a fun ride. SR is kinda funny. You are unkillable unless they have boosted tohit or you get debuffed hard. But even then, the scaling resistance starts ramping up and then the XP loss slows down significantly.
  10. One can drink a LOT of coffee in 5 hours . . . just sayin' . . . 🤪
  11. Wait a second . . . That's Kraven the Tarzan! 😁
  12. Giant Rikti Turtles!
  13. I sense Rock & Roll puns in his future . . .
  14. Phantom Forecast . . . Fantom Forecast . . . Phantom Phorecast . . . Fantom Phorecast . . . ?
  15. LRN 2 play, newb! *Runs and hides in @Luminara's fields of tundra*
  16. Oops. I missed that part I already made it and got to level 25ish.
  17. 91-85-50 = SR/MA Tanker . . . and thus, Celtic Flea was born. He has the Luck of the Irish!
  18. I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and had to update my Nvidia drivers. There was some odd interaction between COH, NvIdia, and Avast. Hope you get it fixed!
  19. I'll happily join in if I am on at the right time and you guys are willing to have me. The idea of a superteam appeals to me and I had fun playing with you guys. But my playtime varies day-to-day depending on work and family. And I'm too impatient to wait a week without playing a character as I generally play one project all the way to 50+3 before starting something new.
  20. I'm with Lemming. I hate respec-ing and will avoid it if I can. If the character plays well enough as is I will probably leave it alone. It also depends how much I play it. Like most of us, I am an altoholic and tend to make something new, play it to 50 +3 or more, then shelve it for the next project. I then may bring it out periodically to check sales and move day-jobs or if needed for a themed TF or to fill a certain role. But there are a few characters that end up getting more playtime for one reason or another. However, if I can use a few unslotters to replace one set of IOs for others, I will happily do that and store the leftovers for a future project. I never re-roll a character.
  21. It's an odd power, but awesome! I didn't have it on the posted build because it pre-dates the changes to FF. Dampening Bubble is a combination of resistance to debuffs for your team and weakened debuffs for your enemies. So it's not that the enemies have their tohit dropped by 43% but rather, their ability to debuff you and your team is reduced by 43% and an additional 43% resistance to tohit debuff if the team member is inside the bubble! Same thing for debuffs to Defense, regen, perception, and slows. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=defender_buff.force_field.force_bubble&at=defender (look at both redirects one is for team, the other for enemies, the third is for the bubble's "look".)
  22. In the South, they're fixin' to be prepared to get ready to get ready.
  23. M.A.O.? Sounds like Communism.
