  1. I like influence sinks, but not for powers that make you stronger, and certainly not powers that make you stronger in perpetuity. I've always felt that the boosters for sale in P2W were a little much, but at least they scale up in cost and have to be repurchased. Vanity items or convenience items are OK in my book. I could also go for some kind of upward conversion of i-salvage as Krimson mentioned. Also, did someone say dance-off?
  2. Wut? I had nothing to do with all that back and forth. Test whatever you want, if you want. I was just curious if you had tried taking down a pylon with all powers. As you said, adding pets can only make it faster. But perhaps, other than the pet, your dark assault chain is better than adding primary attacks. Mezzes are usually not great attacks unless procced out.
  3. I understand. I'm not knocking you, or your testing. I was responding to Without_Pause, but after reading further back I think he/she found the same ones I am mentioning. Have you tested running your dark/dark with all your best powers and pets -- primary, secondary, and pools -- to see where you end up?
  4. Kanil has a Dark/Fire/Cold Dom that slightly edged out Nihili's Plant/Energy Dom, both with crazy DPS and times.
  5. Agree with most of your post except for the word "require". If they want to promote, incentivize, or reward having a taunt/DPS/control/buff-debuff set up that's fine. You could fill those roles with lots of different team make-ups as there is sufficient overlap in roles, depending on builds. But requiring any AT or powerset would be a huge mistake in my opinion. I also disagree that being able to complete "hard mode" content with 8 blasters automatically makes it not hard. That entirely depends on the content and the blasters. If 8 random, badly SO-only slotted new players are able to do it is not the same as 8 knowledgeable veterans with bleeding edge builds doing it . . . and perhaps having a harder time doing it than if they had some support, meat shield, crowd control assistance.
  6. I'm hoping for the new Rubber Armor and Stretch Melee!
  7. There has be a twist.
  8. For common salvage, I will frequent list for anywhere from 1 - 100, simply because I want them to sell fast, secondarily to get the badges as GM Impervium mentioned.
  9. Did you check out the very first post?
  10. Welcome home, Icy Mike. My general advice to everyone is to play the way you want to play and find people that like that same style. If you can't find those teams, make them!
  11. Here's some of what was going on back then, but it seems like your post was before the change to level 49 farming.
  12. Maybe your character was offline so long he/she got auto-demoted from SG leader and that counted as being logged in as the game interacted with the character (and as stated by Impervium).
  13. +0 Council are not the same as +0 Carnies, Malta, Arachnos, Vanguard, etc. Some ATs and powersets perform better or worse against some of those, everyone stomps on Council. I have a feeling the new stuff will be harder than Council at +0.
  14. So kind of the opposite of this! ARISE!! ARISE DEAD THREAD!! Who wins in this classic battle of dog vs. flea?
  15. Thanks for taking the time to put all this together. *looks* Holy Carp! I made top 10!
  16. Oh, you mean when the exception is bigger than the rule? Thanks for explaining that to me.
  17. Tell that to just about every Marvel and DC hero who has, at one time or another, been forced to work with a Nemesis "for the greater good" or other trope.
  18. Here's mine:
  19. https://skynet.unc.edu/
  20. I like all the teleporting critters. It's true that Porters are the least dangerous of the three, but someone's gotta be on the bottom.
