Since you consider me no one, I too will abandon further discussion on this topic. Be well.

I can't take the guilt anymore . . . I confess . . . It was @Jimmy!!!

Except I will never buy an enhancement, slot it, then unslot it to sell. I only slot stuff I intend to use to 50, with small exceptions if the build calls for purples. I generally do not flip. What I mostly do is buy cheap receipes, craft, convert, and sell. Assuming others do as you suggest it restricts supply because the IOs have to spend some arbitrary amount of time slotted before it can be sold.

Thanks for the quick response. You're my favorite form of communication device. Much better than TV and Radio (Radiooooo) and so much more personal and personable.

You're a kind and funny cowboy. Do you have a text parser or are you willing to run a few and check the combat spam to see who or what is killing the AVs? Knowing who or what is doing the killing would be key to solving the issue, IMO. Is it a certain player that keeps doing it? Pets? Blasters? Whatever. You have to know what the real problem is before you can fix it. There are a few long animating attacks that might be started just before the stop command that can't be cancelled once started. And many of those are hard hitting - like KO Blow and Bitter Freeze Ray. So perhaps telling folks to use quick attacks only after 10 or 5%?

Homecoming Code of Conduct Update - May 13th, 2021
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
Meh. I'm old too, married almost 30 years and have adult kids. I'm used to being disappointed . . . . Edit: Oh! And I don't need them to ask for permission, just a heads-up. I've seen several people do that on LFG on Excelsior, "Streaming kill most ITF, PST," for example. That's all I'm asking for. -
Yay! Other than savings over time, what else can players expect from the Scale-3s? Faster load times; less lag; more responsive /AH? Or something else, maybe?

Homecoming Code of Conduct Update - May 13th, 2021
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
Positive Gamer is the only CoH streamer that I can think of. When I watched him, he was actually inviting people who were commenting on his stream that they wanted to join and were giving him their character or global name. I have no problem with that. If I had happened to be in the background when he was inviting I also would have no problem with that. At least for me, I'm not talking about a fly-by where I might be in someone's stream for a second. I am specifically talking about people creating a team, inviting me (or whoever) and not telling people on that team that they are streaming. If that doesn't bother you, that's OK. But it bothers me. Just like it would bother me if a friend invited me to a party at his house but was secretly broadcasting the event. -
Homecoming Code of Conduct Update - May 13th, 2021
Bionic_Flea replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
It may be totally legal for someone to Stream other players without their consent. Just like it's totally legal for someone to follow you around in public and take your picture. But "being legal" doesn't mean that I have to like it and it doesn't mean that it isn't rude. All I'm asking for is for players who are streaming to make that known so that I or anyone else can decide if I want to participate in that stream. From what I have seen, many already do that. If so few people are streaming, then maybe everyone who is streaming is giving the heads up. And if that's the case, then there's no problem. My only problem lies with someone streaming who doesn't let his teammates know that he is doing so. -

How about my voice? My voice is their property? -

I'm sorry, but you don't get to tell me what is or isn't a "big deal" to me. If it isn't a big deal to you, that's fine. -

I disagree. I'm agreeing to Homecoming's terms of service. I don't recall seeing where any other player was authorized to stream my character, my text, or my voice. Of course, I may have missed it. Can you show me where it says that I agree to other player's streaming me? -

I agree with Mrwrk. I don't want to be streamed. I appreciate those that do stream and say they are doing so ahead of time so that I can avoid it. But it just seems wrong to me that someone can broadcast me without my consent or even letting me know that it is happening. -
I expect that prices of recipes and IOs would soar because your proposal restricts supply but leaves demand to grow.

New character! What powers would a Human Bean have?

That's not really flipping if you are selling the converted stuff. That's value added.

Actually, yes. I did and made some changes to the posted build to help with that. I put two Performance Shifters into Stamina in place of Power Transfers and a Miracle in place of the Numina in Health. I also took Support Radial Hybrid. With those changes it was fine as long as I wasn't shooting non-stop. In newer builds I am 3 slotting Stamina -- 2 Power Transfers (end mod and proc) and the Performance Shifter Proc. I had hoped that I could just exchange them two-for-two but that +endurance proc is stronger than I thought.

Thanks to all who run Trials and Raids. If you organize them, you get to set the rules. I have occasionally disagreed with a rule or strategy but I followed it anyway and sent tells to the leader after the event explaining why I think they would be better served doing it differently. On a few rare occasions I have quit before the event started because I felt the leader was either rude or not knowledgeable enough to lead that particular event. Most players do not like forming teams, even less like forming TFs, trials, raids, or I-trials. The more complex or difficult the events are the less people will want to lead it. So I think it is safe to say that most players have not lead a large league and don't realize how finicky the league system can be and the amount of text that is thrown at a league leader before and during the trial while they are also trying to give instructions to make sure everyone succeeds and gets their rewards. I don't always join the big league events. Certainly not as often as I once used to. I mainly solo and run some TFs for badges and merits. But whenever I do join leagues, I have been impressed by the folks that lead them -- very professional, great communication. Excelsior has a fantastic group of people willing to lead these and luckily we have had many. It takes effort to do them and burnout is real. So cut your league leaders a little slack and follow their lead. . . or form your own with your rules. I'm sure that if you form your own you'll want people to follow your instructions.

My build is on the first post. I skipped PGA because I'm not a fan of sleeps in this game. And while it is a big damage debuff, that's only valuable if things are actively shooting and hitting you. If they are dead, flopping, trying to run, or missing then -dam is not adding anything. Your build seems fine, but if I were to tweak it, I would end up going back to my build.

Oh! OH! Me!

You forgot Ice for procs, slows, and to be a Def-Troller!

The great and confounding thing about the CoH market is that it really is a market and is governed, in large part, by supply and demand. Because it is a real market ruled by supply and demand the prices can vary wildly in a day, a week, or over longer periods. For example, when I first came to the server I tried to sell Achilles Heel -res proc, knowing that is is a valuable, desirable piece wanted by many builds but only available at low levels. To my surprise it was selling for a few hundred thousand at most, frequently for only a few thousand. But then there were several forum threads about proc builds and DPS builds and demand for these shot up. More recently it has been selling for about 5 million. But occasionally you'll see a sale for 2 million-ish. Other sets that normally sell for 2 - 3 million, let's say pieces from Aegis or Unbreakable Guard, can suddenly spike as high as 10 million when there are only a handful left in the supply. That frequently happens on the weekend when more people have a chance to play. More people playing is more players demanding. An item that routinely sells for 2 million on Monday may sell for 5 million on Sunday. The things that are the most expensive are the things that lots of people want but are very rare, hard to find, perhaps they only drop in certain content, or don't drop at all. The prices rise and fall with supply and demand.

Robotics - Radiation Emission - Mu Mastery or Mace Mastery
Bionic_Flea replied to @T3h Ish's topic in Mastermind
Each proc will have a 12 - 21% chance to go off. Well, 27% for Purples at 4.5 PPM and 6% for 1 PPM, but most procs are 2 - 3.5. Not great odds for 1.6 endurance per second.
