  1. So I'm seeing a lot of Blaster attacks use two att/dam IOs from sets. What's the advantage of doing this over 2 acc/Dam Hami-Os, if there isn't a set bonus involved?
  2. I have a farmer on Excelsior if either of you want some levels. Can also transfer my grav/emp or grav/ta if you want some support/disruption help. Global @Neuronia
  3. So Smallz, Void and a bunch of other people just ran a gateway event on Torchbearer which was pretty nice. The Blasters were a good mix of Fire, Beam, Psy and there were some nice other toons like Corruptors and so on. We had enough emps to go 2xteam and Smallz and Pixel and M3z and Tempty and everyone explained about locking and were really cool. There were some newer Emps and Blasters and stuff there too which was nice. A lot of the matches were pretty close, mid-level scoring (both teams had a dozen to a a little over a dozen kills) and stuff on the usual outside maps (Striga, Atlas, Steel, Skyway, Outbreak) and people were rolling pretty well. They did a lot of what was suggested above, with binds/macros for insps/phase/dim shift etc, lots of questions asnwered. Certainly hoping they keep this up, was very fun. It was definitely a different pace than kickball nights on Indom, but still good to get the rust out. Late edit: For views on fun, mine is mostly tied to map variety. I like Atlas/SKyway as much as the next person, but having Lab/Cargo show up now and then is cool too. For powersets, it's hard to gauge but I'm guessing (almost assuredly) that beam weapon spikes would be a lot deeper/cleaner than a mixed group. But that's up to the KB organizers to settle, I guess, as well as the players.
  4. Just got in my first of these since re-launch. It was fun. Lab was a little crazy, lol, but it was good to see everyone again. Looking forward to next Wednesday, for sure. Thanks to everyone who showed up. P.S. The "Black Team Rule" is nice to cycle through people. P.P.S. The "Loserball" FFA with my grav/ta, a Dom and a Scrapper with webnades was peak awesome.
  5. Thanks a lot X. I'll just work on the Grav/Emp then. I've not gotten any younger, you know. I should be able to Glue Arrow a few peeps between evasions/respawns, hopefully. Have a good day and see you in Pocket D. (Yeah will need to not AP constantly, hearing CriticalKat in my head right now about that, lol....)
  6. RIP. I know what it's like to deal with crippling depression, friends and an outlet are so important here.
  7. So should I have both an Emp/Water and Grav/Emp then? In what situations would someone switch to a Defender build over a Controller, and vice-versa?
  8. Many thanks. 🙂 Can't wait to get back to kickball in two days. Nervous as hell but it should be lots of fun.
  9. Yeah I read that about grav/emp. Could you flip me a build at some point? I'm finally going to try kickball this Wed now that my TA has all the HP accos, but want a specced emp build at some point soon.
  10. A PvP Ladder or some sort, with perma costumes or Reward Merit prizes. That's probably a self-organizing thing though, but mostly a way to get +HP accolades across my alts without re-grinding them. Would pay some amount of $ for this. For Arena/PvP zones only, of course!. 😄
  11. Oh my goodness Dan thanks so much for sharing, and it looks like it won't break the bank either, which is a nice bonus! Will start up my Emp/Water tomorrow! woooooo!
  12. Witty, you are not allowed to die on your Tanker on these. And awesome, I will look you ub, you're a great teammate to have around.
  13. Well. this might explain why my Ill/Cold has been struggling soloing LRSF. Been stuck on the Future Phalanx for a bit. Will shelve that for now, thanks for letting me know about this bug.
  14. 3, because clearly I will be in a 3 v 3 event at some point and that will lead to my ultimate judgement.
  15. Have been picked up by @Sloth and After School Special. Ty 😄 Name: Kara Global: @Neuronia Preferred role: Support/Disruption, learning to kill stuff. Available Characters: Trickshot Kara - Grav/TA Controller Gravitic Kara - Grav/Emp Controller Big Red Ball - Ice/Plant Blaster Availability: Most evenings, just let know.
  16. To follow up with WanderingAries, Lethal Ladies (@ELectraOutlaw, @Cirelick, @HolyFool, @WanderingAries, @HurricanGale, @Neuronia among many others...) are back on Indom. I think I saw @KnightofIronStar on one of the globals, which made me immediately wonder if a rift would open allowing X-Funk back in to the multiverse. :-)
  17. I'd like to add my voice to putting these either at the p2w vendor (1st free, others 1,000,000 sounds fair) or having some other method of obtaining them. A friend of mine really wants the Ring Mistress code back. I won it for him at a PvPEC event in the past as I had no use for it, but it fits his RP theme perfectly. Can we get these back, please? :-)
  18. I did an RSF as the only Kin with 6 Brutes, it was...kinda crazy. I tend to see less Defenders than Corruptors, and slightly more Controllers than Doms. Tankers are sparse, but I do see one occasionally on ITF, LGTF or so on, and they are quite prevalent at Hamidon Raids and Incarnate content. If anything, the population is on the Blue side, Red side has its fans though...
  19. Once last week I had to get up and take a call, came back and they were already on the second spawn. So efficient, haha! To answer the OP, I need to get to 50 ASAP because: Accoaldes and purples and so on for PvP; Hamidon Raids, LRSF, STF (MsLibTF), Dark Astoria; Incarnate grinding; Farming for purples; Being fully slotted and purpled out to mal down for SFs and TFs. The latter is hugely important, being able to crush content is super fun. Don't get me wrong, I like stopping Troll raves in Skyway as much as the next person, but...
  20. Played both, prefer CoH for most stuff. The grind in CO used to be run Alerts to 50, then run Fire & Ice and Sky Command and others for Destrum BEarings et. al., then they changed the grind for that gear and I lost interest. Having farm maps available in CoH is much, much better. I can have a new concept to 50 in under a day, then another day or so to get the Accolades. There aren't really any accolades in CO, so my characters never really feel really powerful. I do love the Nemesis system in that other game though, and the depth of costume options. It just wasn't enough to keep me going for more than a month or so, even grinding lootboxes got old fast once my friend and I got all the vehicles and auras and stuff we wanted.
  21. I don't think I have ever "ghosted" anyone; that said, I am generally getting multiple tells to join a Strike Force or team or whatever, and I do respond to all of them as quickly as possible. I also respond to conversation attempts, though most of those tend to happen in global channels like "Excelsior".
  22. This is a great guide. I'm too lazy and parsimonious to use converters an so on, but I went well past 100 mil recently. Don't do what I did, it's super ineffiicent. ;D I rolled a Kinetics Defender, because people love Speed Boost and Fulcrum Shift and I get those earlier than on a Controller. I sold all salvage for 1 inf. I crafted rare recipes with what salvage I had on me or in our base bins (I run a 2-player SF with an irl friend), then listed then either for 1 inf or for x11,231 if they sold for more than 1 million. Once I got to 50, I just ran ITFs, LRSFs, Hami Raids, and farm runs and sold the drops. If you play on Excelsior, you may have seen my "Still not a Centriole!" after getting a Hami-O or a Synthetic one. They get dropped on Market if we don't need them for builds. Any purple picked up on our farm runs that wasn't going to get used in our builds hit the market, generally getting us 20 mil or so. Reward Merits have been unspent so far. I am currently at 1,639 Reward Merits. Hoping to pass 2,000 by end of week. Once I hit 4,000-5,000 I'll spend a bit. Not sure if this is "a lot", but I've converted all Vanguard Merits into Reward Merits, and the odd Empyrian into them, for rounding purposes. I'll have to do this today to get to 1640. I detest unrounded numbers. If I need a "quick hit" I just buy an ATIO proc with reward Merits (100 is trivial, it's 2 Positron TF, 1 Synapse and some change) and that generally gets me 11 mil or so. I used a bunch of my inf to finance my friend's Stone Melee/Invuln Brute, King Stone Wolf, and still have tons left over. I've long passed the point where I got upset at people with tons of inf. There's just too many ways to get it. And once you hit 50...it's an endless tap of income. I have been super lucky on drops. I got a Panacea proc killing Hellions, an Unbounded Leap + Stealth killing Jurassik. ALL PvP IOs I cannot use on my Ill/Emp or Stalker get crafted and sold as well. Since I'm lazy, I also drop millions (super inefficiently!) for pretty meh stuff like Titanium Coatings and so on. Edit. I am running on Single Origins only, with my only IO's being a Karma, KB protect and a Karma Defense on my Defender. I might have a Numina proc on him too. Currently at Tier 3 on all Incarnate stuff because S o l a r i s is a great leader. :-) And the money still rolls in! (I don't consider myself wealthy ingame, that will happen once I hit 600,000,000 inf or so, which would allow me to get most of a build off the Market.)
  23. Slotted one of each allowable enhancement in my Mind/FF's powers. I couldn't solo to save my life, until a RL friend saw my build, chuckled a lot and fixed it. Instant improvement!
