Exactly, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that it is something “down the road” in case that mattered.

Nope, all Archetypes get access to the exact same Incarnate options. i will note, though that incarnate powers do take a little while after level 50 to actually unlock. You need to unlock the “slot” by gaining experience and you need to get the materials via gaining veteran levels (just gaining levels after you hit 50) or by running incarnate content.

A couple thoughts about those two options. My goal here in not to steer you in one direction or the other, but to give you knowledge so you can make the character you want to make. if you’re planning on taking Hover and leaving it on, Electric Armor has a disadvantage in that situation. The power that Elec Armor gets that provides knockback protection (Grounded) only works while you’re on the ground. However, counter point, Fire Armor gets significantly less knockback protection overall, so you need to plan on slotting some -knockback into Fire Armor. So really, if you want to do either set *and* you want hover, you’ll need to be prepared to be knocked around for a little while. Armor sets: Electric is a bit more sturdy, Fire is a bit more offensive. But both are viable for non-end game content very easily, and both can be made viable for end game content down the line. Brutes are going to do more damage if you move quickly between targets because of their inherent ability, Fury, which increases by attacking and being attacked and decreases over time. Fury provides a bonus to your damage. If you are planning on fighting more slowly, brutes and sentinels will be about equal in damage. Brutes can get tanker than Sentinels due to them having a higher cap to Resistance and maxHP. However, being at range adds to a sentinel’s survivability in that most enemies have more melee attacks than Ranged attacks. If none of that really matters to you, then the biggest take away I can give is “if you want to be primarily ranged, go Sentinel. If you want to be primarily melee, go Brute.” Sentinels can get melee attacks in their Epic pools (available starting at 35) and Brutes get ranged attacks in theirs, but your primary set is going to be where most of your attacks come from. another possible combination you didn’t include is a savage (or electric)/fire/mu brute. This will be an offensive powerhouse combo and Mu Mastery gives ranged electrical attacks. Note that for Mu Mastery, you do need to go reside (rogue or villain alignment) and complete a patron arc. Technically you can just join someone who is doing the last mission in the arc and you get credit for it. If you go the latter path, you only need to go as “evil” as a Vigilante. hmm, maybe I should roll a savage/fire/mu brute

and to further on this, because Electric armor has no in-built Defense Debuff Resistance, any -defense you get is going to be full strength.

I’m wrong… the event that has that portion no longer exists in game https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/The_Clockwork_Paladin

Part of the Kings Row GM event is an optional “rescue the Shining Stars”

I certainly wouldn’t complain about buffing Storm, but it doesn’t need it, it’s a top tier set. One which is already capable of soloing +4 AVs.

If oil slick “works like other oil slick abilities.” as you suggested, then it is a damaging attack if it can be ignited, that is what I meant. and ”Front Mounted Guns: Fires a cone of damage in front of the car” is an AoE. also, I assumed that RC Bomber would be an AoE by your description.

Add "Who Will Die" TFs to Weekly Strike Targets

It’s been a hot minute since I ran a SSA, I forgot they give 4x reward merits for the first run in a week… -
Add "Who Will Die" TFs to Weekly Strike Targets
Psyonico replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I mean, technically they’re not TFs, they’re story arcs. The biggest difference is that TFs are designed to be a team event and story arcs are designed to be either solo or team events. It would be kind of like if Ouro flashbacks were added to WST. -
Expanding on this, technically you only needed 1 command to do your bind, a /broadcast. The $$ basically says “now run this 2nd slash command”
-
Yeah, cars come up fairly regularly. I suspect there are a lot of technical hurdles that would need to be overcome for this to work. Your set seems extremely overpowered though, 3 AoEs *and* a heal in a travel power seems pretty unlikely.
-
Just FYI, origin powers *are* affected by damage modifiers. They also deal more damage below level 18 and even *more* damage than that below level 11, the damage they do at 50 is basically meaningless. Here’s Taser Dart as an example https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=prestige.prestige_attacks.brawl_taser

On my phone, so I’m just looking at the screen shot. Looking at your build, trying to figure out how to help you with the -recharge. First thing I noticed is that you could put the preventative medicine proc in spirit ward. Because PM is a global that grants a proc, it works even if you don’t have the toggle running. You need to find a way to get the Winter’s Gift slow resistance IO into mystic flight. You could potentially drop the KB IO, but that would leave you pretty low in the -kb area. assuming one of those IOs in Stamina is the heal proc, you could potentially drop that one. You may have enough global accuracy that you don’t need the kismet +to-hit IO, otherwise you’d likely have to drop one of the procs in savage leap.

Are the patron mass immoblize powers any use to a Brute?
Psyonico replied to normalperson's topic in Brute
Yes, but taunt does -range, which ball lightning doesn’t do. But that doesn’t really matter if you’re getting everything close enough for your aoes -
If you’re building for level 50 content, you only need to worry about +3s once you get your alpha slotted. Regardless, I’d probably still go Dark Obliteration over Cloak of Fear, you get damage and .25% base extra -to-hit. Granted, you’re likely to slot at least some -to-hit in CoF, but it probably about evens out. Just don’t forget that the -16% you’re planning on will be hit by the purple patch and against 54s will be more like 10.5%

SR/MA is kind of overkill… SR can already reach the incarnate defense cap fairly easily, so Storm Kick’s +defense is wasted. It’s not a bad combo, per se, just wouldn’t be my first pick. MA only gets 1 AoE, but it takes a FF proc and there’s lots of room for +recharge, so you can get it up pretty fast.
-
I remember the first time I took Super Jump as a power pick. My jaw dropped at how high I could suddenly jump.
-
I really need to sit down at some point and compare Hyperstrike’s builds to my own and see if either of us have room for improvement.
-
I sure hope so.

Nope, that’s Purple Triangles of Doom https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Purple_Triangles
-
In my experience with Traps, caltrops is really only useful in low levels, so if you want to fit in Fold Space, you could drop Super Jump, Combat Jumping, and Caltrops. That way you only lose 1 LoTG.

Everlasting TFs is a great channel for teaming on TFs and the like. Everlasting is the 2nd most popular shard. No, the population isn’t what it was on live and it never will be, but there is usually some stuff going on except for late at night or very early in the morning.
-
I don’t know if dominators would get caltrops, since one of their secondaries has an almost identical power (thorntrops)
