  1. I was merely pointing out that your supposition on Pi/Grandville teams is incorrect. but more on point: because this game is 21 years old and the vast majority of its player base are veterans, a lot of people just “race toward the end” and increasing level ranges of arcs won’t change that. Also, let’s just say the level ranges are increased for the arcs where enemies can be increased. You’re just pushing the “problem” of out leveling content down the road… so instead of out leveling arc A because you hit 25, you end up out leveling arc B at level 30 because you ran arc A in the new range and arc B can’t be increased past 30.
  2. Mental health is health. I’m a very outspoken supporter of mental health. I also believe that the vast majority of people, even those without any sign of mental illness, would benefit from seeing a therapist. Everyone has something to unpack, and it’s way easier with a professional. My beliefs on mental health come from being burned by being raised on “boys don’t cry”. Everyone has at least one point in their life that is a struggle. There’s no shame in asking for help.
  3. I’m hoping it’s fire/fire 😂
  4. I thought I was done with this conversation, but you’re wrong… again. PPM does not just work for unenhanced powers, if you slot recharge into a power the chance that the proc fires goes down so that the PPM is still the baseline.
  5. Aethers are purely cosmetic, they are used to purchase various costume powers: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Prismatic_Aether_Salvage last I checked they sell for ~1.2 million each. merits are best used as a source of income, IMO. They can be used to buy things at merit vendors, but the best use for them is to buy the following and then sell these on the AH (this is in no particular order) Enhancement Converters. You get 3 per merit and each converter sells for 50-70k Enhancement unslotters. You get 2 per merit and each sells for 90-100k Enhancement Boosters. You get 1 for 5 merits, each sells for 700k-1 million Winter IOs. These each cost 100 merits, but will sell for 20-22 million.
  6. Oh, one more piece of advice, if you’re not specifically looking to get the badges, just buy pre-crafted common IOs from the /ah, you’ll save time and inf.
  7. If you think 45k is a lot of influence, I’m going to tell you how to make all the inf you could ever desire without spending more than 1% of your time on the market… probably less than that. Ready? Play your 50s. It’s that simple. If you don’t waste time between missions at level 50 you’ll make 1.5-2 million inf in an hour before drops. Now for how to make that even more: sell everything to vendors except rare salvage (the orange stuff). Level 50 common IOs will sell to a vendor for ~100k depending on what type it is. Now, take whatever orange salvage you have and drop it on the /ah, list it for at least 400k each, I tend to list it for 450k, don’t bother listing for much more than 500k because it will take longer to sell. In the event you get a Very Rare (purple) or PvP recipe, this takes slightly more effort. These recipes can’t be sold to vendors, they have to be sold on the /ah, but good news: a purple or pvp recipe is worth multiple million inf. Drop it on the /ah and list it for somewhere in the ballpark of where the history shows. That’s it. It’s that simple. In 2 hours you will have between 3 and 4 million inf just from kills, plus at least another 1-2 million from recipes and non-rare salvage plus whatever you get from rare salvage and the occasional purple/pvp recipe. And you’ll spend less time on the /AH than you will spend at a regular vendor. From there, you can email your global inf from one character and pick it up on another.
  8. That’s a lot of “givens” but yes, that is accurate. My point is that unless you get as specific as you just got, it’s not fixed. Also, I’m not arguing that a percentage shouldn’t be shown, I even said as much several posts back…
  9. Except that percentage is not set in stone it is based on an average procs per minute
  10. Ok, so I have a concept for a toon that I was originally thinking invul for, but then I thought Psi armor when I heard about it, but I think Regen will actually be the best choice for concept. for secondary both Claws and Savage would work concept wise. The question is: which works better mechanically with regen? Savage can build up extra recharge, which is helpful, but claws has a bit of soft control. Thoughts?
  11. I just double checked, cod has Touch of Fear doing 2 redirects… one for the ST and one for the AoE. the ST has a to hit debuff the AoE does not. You must be thinking of Shadow Maul (the cone) which indeed does -to hit to all targets.
  12. 1. This would nerf PvE, so no thanks 2. this would actually probably hurt PvP more than it is now. If it’s based on percentage of damage done, you could slot for damage and end up healing more.
  13. I believe they’re referring to the power in the Teleport pool, not ATT. A lot of MMs get use out of Team Teleport and I suspicion it were changed, they wouldn’t be happy.
  14. i literally explain how PPM is true, I’m not sure how you get the opposite of that. the chance for a proc to fire is not a static percentage. It is based on an average PPM. It takes into consideration base and enhancement recharge to average out to the stated PPM. I don’t know how to make this more clear.
  15. Are you sure the damage nerf is not part of the absolutely mentioned damage scaler nerf?
  16. In that case it does not affect proc rate. only base and enhancement recharge (and therefore spiritual or agility alphas) affect proc rate
  17. Aren’t all the warrior bosses named after mythological Greek characters and not people that really existed?
  18. The thing is, the PPM is true. The chance to proc is variable and the most accurate way to explain how often it will proc is through PPM. If you have a ST power that has a recharge of 30 seconds and you slot a 2PPM proc in it, the chance that proc has to fire is at the proc chance cap. if you then slot enough recharge that the same power only has a 15 second recharge, well then that same proc will have about a 50% chance to proc in the power because if you can activate the power 4 times in a minute, but the proc is set to 2 PPM, well then 2/4=50%. Hence the PPM is accurate. I’m not against the idea of being able to see the actual percentage chance a proc goes off, assuming that is possible to display, but you are stating false information.
  19. Most PI/Grandville mission teams are radio teams, not story arc teams, so your premise here is flawed. the one exception being Maria Jenkins, but I can assure you people aren’t running that arc for the umpteenth time for the story, they’re running it for Portal Jockey.
  20. When you hit level 30 and get introduced to the contacts, the dialogue box that pops up specifically states something like “the events in this arcs take place after the events of issue 24” this is a problem with the MMO format, if you want to introduce new content that isn’t a higher level than your current content, inevitably you will create continuity issues.
  21. The issue I see with this is it reduces the incentive to list at a reasonable price the first time. right now, if you post something, you pay 5% of the listing price up front… list it too high so that it won’t sell? You have to pay another 5% to list it at a lower price. Since you risk wasting inf by listing too high, it incentivizes sellers to list for something they think people will actually pay for it. this would hurt buyers because they’d have to weigh the fact that they know people have listed things higher that will likely eventually reduce in price vs the “I want it now” crowd. I suspect it would lead to a more skewed market, and I’m against that idea. what I might be able to get behind, however, is allowing IOs to be sold to vendors for the same price as you can sell the recipes for. for example, a level 50 rare recipe sells to vendors for 10,000 inf. If someone were want to craft that and then decide they don’t want it, they could then sell that rare IO to a vendor for 10,000 inf. It doesn’t make sense to do this for uncommon/rares, but it would make sense to do it for common IOs if someone were just looking to get the crafting badges. if that were implemented, I’d want to see an option in the options menu (near all the warning prompt options) to disable selling IOs to vendors, which would work like what we have currently. The only potential issue I see with my suggestion is that people would be less incentivized to sell on the ah when they know they can get a specific price instantly at a store.
  22. I loved the Dervish scythe animations in Guild Wars:Nightfall…. And I like the idea of a scythe in HC. but for me personally, the fact that none of the attacks in Staff look like how a scythe would be used just feels… off for some reason. Also spinning a scythe the way you do with, say, guarded spin seems more hazardous to your own health than an enemy’s
  23. Ok... Initial comments from build 1 are in spoilers for comparison. Build Screenshot: Its... better. Right now it finally feels like its a middle-of-the-road set. I performed the same test with the exact same build, except I swapped the accuracy I had in Memento Mori for a 3rd heal. The test was Arachnos radio mission set at +1x4, I used only SOs and Agility Core Paragon. I survived. Not only did I survive, I didn't feel like I was sweating bullets while playing it, which is a far improvement from the first go round. I still cast Consume Psyche basically on recharge, but that was just to keep up stacks, which for some reason felt like i had an easier time keeping them up this time around. At first I was only hitting Psychokinetic Barrier about once every other group because my health started to drop, but then I realized the debuff resistance stacks with itself! So, now I've got 2 defensive powers that I'm casting on recharge, which is less than ideal, but hey, different sets play different ways. I used Memento Mori once or twice because i was starting to take some heavy damage (still no DDR even though at rest, the above build has over 20% defense to M/R/A) but I stayed on my feet and I actually enjoyed the game play. I'll even go as far as to say I felt like an average tank. so, good job devs, you salvaged the set. I would still like to see some modicum of DDR in Precognition though.
  24. That’s an awesome name for a pyro toon
  25. I play almost exclusively with SOs until 27 then swap out to level 30 common IOs. If I’m solo, I’m usually playing at +0 unless I’ve actually invested in sets. You have a problem with that? But regardless, even at x3 or x4 you’re not coming in contact with 10 enemies in a spawn, meaning you won’t feel the diminishing returns on a PBAoE, yes, you’ll feel the cones if you Hit more than 5 defensive stance is made to be used when you’re on a team that can supply damage. If I’m solo on a Bio tanker, I’m using either offensive or efficient.
