  1. I may be wrong about magnitude rather than duration, but I do know that taunt auras were normalized at some point. I don't think its just a matter of 2 taunt auras, because Bio also has 2 and yet people don't usually say that Bio is a threat machine. An interesting thing I just noticed looking at COD... Some taunt auras have a Taunt (mag 3) and some just have a Gauntlet redirect. Both Chilling Embrace and Icicles only have the Gauntlet Redirect, not the baked in Taunt (mag 3).
  2. To be fair, two people could be using the exact same build and have vastly different performance due to play style. For example, @Linea has a Katana/Energy scrapper that is neigh unkillable, however, me using basically the identical build, can't drive it anywhere near as hard because.
  3. For most of the game's history, different taunt auras had different threat magnitudes. While this was the case, Ice Armor had the highest threat magnitude. I remember specifically that WP had the lowest. I believe it was HC that normalized taunt auras.
  4. FWIW: I think you actually can do Eagle Eye's arc without doing Shauna Stockwell's. I am pretty sure that if you just talk to him at any point you're in his level range, he'll start the arc. Also, through Ouroboros you don't need to do the prerequisite arc.
  5. I suspect it was power analyzer and not your defender that was glitches. That is, the debuff was stacking, but just not showing up for some reason.
  6. I don't know why, but I find this power set suggestion to be amazing and I want something like it to happen nao.
  7. Maybe one of Provost Marchand's Brickstown arcs? I believe those were not part of live. Only question is, which of his arcs?
  8. I'd probably go Illusion/Dark or Dark/Dark. Illusion/Dark is just stupidly powerful and Dark/Dark is a great candidate as well, fewer pets, but more lockdown.
  9. Arse provides the same invisibility as Illusion.
  10. Dark/Dark is a very different beast than Fire/Storm. For one, /Dark has an endurance management tool, while both Fire and Storm are extremely endurance heavy sets. For endurance, I recommend panacea/miracle/numina's uniques in health by 27 with a performance shifter proc and a generic or performance shifter end mod in stamina. I would start Hot Feet with an accuracy and then 2 end redux. Tornado and Lightning Storm also need some good end redux slotted. It hurts me to say this, but you can't spam Fire Cages. I've always loved the idea of Fire/Storm, and I made one on live several times, but never got very far, mostly because of endurance issues.
  11. Arsenal Control is a fantastic control set. Perhaps and Arse/Arse Dom?
  12. Fire or S/L will be the easiest since they don't have the -recharge that most cold attacks have. You can get 100% -recharge resistance on ice armor though.
  13. It depends on what you mean by "true". It does provide stealth, but not full invisibility, for that you'd need to add a +stealth proc in something. If you're looking for full invisibility only, fortunatas don't provide it either, they only get 40 feet of stealth in Mask Presence.
  14. I should add that Teleport Target only works on minions and underlings, so *if* this temp power was made, would it have to be stronger than Teleport Target in case LTs and Bosses get stuck in a wall? And wouldn't that make it even more likely that people would use it for something other than just getting mobs unstuck?
  15. I love LFG porting, but it's really only useful solo.
  16. It does work, my guess is that @Wimbochismoddeems it slot inefficient.
  17. It is a toggle in Electric Blast but not in the Dom version
  18. Also, TP For was combined with Recall Friend to create Teleport Target, so it still exists in game.
  19. To my knowledge, nothing significant has changed in Dark/Dark, so yes, it's just as good as it used to be. Back on live, I loved my D3, I've got one on HC, but it hasn't clicked with me like it did on live.
  20. If I were to guess, the team you are on likely has to do at least 10% of the damage to the bud, much like the Ukon Grai badge.
  21. Hats have a specific hair style. Some hats have no hair whatsoever. Thisbis done so that the hat can have 2 colors. There was a thread about hats and hair not 2 days ago.
  22. The only -resist that DP has is piercing rounds, which is *basically* ST and is 20% non-stacking. Not sure where you're getting 30-50% from. If I'm reading COD correctly, Howl from Sonic Resonance alone provides 20% -resist, but is an actual AOE, and it has all the other ST -resist to stack on top of it.
  23. From a scientific perspective, you don't even get primary/secondary in the right order. I love me some Dual Pistols, however, unless you're running cryo or chem rounds it brings very little support to the table (and most players would argue that the only thing to run in 99.9% of content is incendiary). So I would disagree with the assertion that it is the best for support. Additionally, it is not top tier for damage either. I'm not going to argue about which defender primary provides the best support. It really depends on way too many factors, including what content you're playing. I'll agree that Time is up there, but not 100% sure it's the all-around best of the best.
  24. You should be taking Dispersion Bubble ASAP. It provides better defense than Maneuvers and also gives status protection to Immobilize/Stun/Hold. Repulsion Bolt and Spirit Ward are over slotted. RB really only needs an Accuracy, you could slot a KB->KD in there too. If you are mostly solo, you don't have anything to hit Spirit Ward with, so anything beyond the base slot is a waste. Put the Preventative Measure +Absorb process in there and call it a day. I think Damping Bubble is of more use than Repulsion Field, but if you are sticking with RF, you should slot some end redux into it. Also, the KB->KD IO turns off the repel aspect of the power.
