  1. Both the live and HC devs have said that animation time is locked in and any changes would need new animations. Also, if you didn't change activation time but did change animation time, wouldn't you just be stuck doing nothing for the difference?

  3. That would require every power have multiple animations, one "normal" speed and one " sped up" speed.
  4. If they have access to the tools (pretty sure they don't) the agreement they signed almost certainly prevents the LM from distributing it.

  6. The shards all run on the same physical server (except the European one, of course). If they added a second physical server, regardless of the location, it would increase the cost of upkeep.
  7. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a false positive in that Mids just see regen as regen, whether positive or negative, and therefore shows it enhancing.
  8. Staff is considered low damage, but it does bring in things like the +resist in Sky Splitter, which, depending on your build, could be useful. Also, Staff in Granite form is just about as funny as some of the MA attacks in Granite.
  9. I'm almost positive you can't enhance -regen. I'd either slot an Accurate defense rebuff set or a Lysosome instead.

  11. I didn't really think about this, but yeah. Players need to learn that not everything is best done as faceroll, so might as well start early.
  12. Ninja Training is a pretty solid set, so I think you'll be good on that front. I really like both of your costumes. Especially the "powered up" one looks really good.
  13. But positional defenses protect against all damage types with a few exception (a couple of attacks are not tagged as having a vector). So positionals are just as strong as typed defenses. It's not really weirdness with Health specifically. Any power that accepts healing sets will proc Panacea. This includes Fast Healing, Integration, and Rise To The Challenge as well as other regen-only powers. Toggles and Auto powers will have a chance to proc once every 10 seconds.

  15. That kind of depends on a couple things. If you're chasing 5 or 6 slot set bonuses, the you want to stay in set. Sets that have different level caps are also a consideration. Basilisks Gaze, for example, caps at level 30, so the raw stats can't get as high as something like Lockdown, which caps at 50. Most sets that cap at 50 do a good job getting you at or near ED caps for the most important aspect of that set (so, damage, hold, etc) and do a decent job getting you above the 33ish percent an even level SO provides for several other aspects.
  16. This is not accurate, unless you mean an io with 3 effects (which I still think is not quite this number). (Doing this from memory) A common level 50 IO gives well over 40% boost, a 50+5 gives over 50% boost (assuming schedule A) If you do mean something with 3 effects, then you end up better off as well, since you're getting something between a DO and an SO for 3 aspects.
  17. By your logic, afterburner should get updated as well, since those two powers increase flight speed as well. IMO Takeoff is the least useful of the travel secondary powers, as it has a long-ish animation time which slows your travel a bit and using it in combat means having mighty leap toggled on, which means higher end consumption

  19. For TA, obviously archery is a common choice for theme. I like TA/Dark, I've got 1 at 50 and she's really strong. The self heal in Life Drain is a nice touch too. I personally am not a huge fan of Water Blast, but seeing as it is 100% ranged (including the nuke) I see potential with it. Again, like /Dark, you've got a self heal. Additionally, Steam Spray will ignite OSA, so you don't have to use an origin temp to do it. If you are going to go Fire, I'd suggest a Corruptor over a Defender, since scourge plays nicely with Rain of Fire.

  21. You are correct. To me, the difference is that these forums, I don't post anything remotely personal, whereas social media is, by its nature, personal.

  23. Funny thing, I once did one of these on a fire tanker and forgot that I had taken the damage aura at 1 instead of the shield. The cadavers got to about 1/2 health before I noticed, but we still got the badge. As for the suggestion, I don't think it needs to be changed. Yes, you can fail getting the badge, but you can always run another DFB and try again. Also, the badge is just a badge, it doesn't contribute to an accolade power, so there is no harm in not having it. Finally, anyone who kicks someone for failing to get the badge is just a jackass. I've never seen anyone kicked mid-DFB, but I believe you that it happens.
  24. The sleep is (mostly) a bonus to me. Slot it as an attack. If facing a boss solo, Dominate->Mesmerize means you can have the boss incapacitated while Dominate recharges for the 2nd application. In most content, my mind controllers cycle between Dominate, Mesmerize, and Levitate to have a full ST attack chain though.
