  1. Pretty broad question For Defenders/Corruptors i'd go dual pistols, water, or dark For controllers, I like Earth or ice For MMs, bots or Necro I'd say.
  2. I agree that toxic defense should be added to set bonuses with psi defense. There are also still some powers that say they grant defense(all) but don't grant toxic defense. This should be looked at as well.

  4. I believe Electric Control is considered the king of sapping, it may not grant any -recovery, but you can get some serious AoE -endurance out of it. Pair it with /Poison or /Psi Assault and you can get enemies drained quickly and keep them there. That being said, in my experience, sapping isn't all that great in terms of damage mitigation.

  6. What FupDup said, Darkest Night is best used for its -damage on a SR tanker.
  7. Willpower is an underrated set. I personally love it, though it does have some painful holes (looking at you, lack of -end/-recovery protection) That being said, willpower and Regen will play a little differently. Regen is a reactive set, relying on its clicks, whereas Willpower's only click is its T9 (and, I guess, the rez). I personally build willpower to have soft capped S/L/E/N/F/C defense with high or capped S/L resist as well.
  8. Flash arrow has another advantage over smoke beyond just having higher -tohit. Half of the debuff is unresistable. As for the power that increases the -tohit, that would be Acid Arrow. Only issue is that draws aggro.
  9. ok, just confirmed, on both Phantom Army and Phantasm, interface will in fact proc.
  10. Bio likes E/N/F/C defense since you get some of that in your armor. A Bio tanker can easily cap S/L resist and E/N/F/C defense and be very solid, even without DDR. I generally go Ageless Radial destiny on my Bio tanks for the DDR that it provides.
  11. I'm actually fairly certain interface does proc on pet attacks. I'll jump on one of my illusion controllers in a bit and test it out.
  12. There is a fine line where they are allowed. Homage is different than copy.
  13. The only downside I see is that time likes to be in melee range and dark's AoE is all cone based. That being said, the same applies for time/sonic and that's a great combo IMO.
  14. I feel like I read once that AR was probably a "weapons" set and there was a different gun for the different attacks but people in beta had a problem with all the redraw. Hence the frankengun.
  15. It'll work, you'll have a chance for each to proc every 10 seconds, so once every 10 seconds you'll gain anywhere from 0-20% of your health back and however much endurance performance shifter gives.
  16. Cardiac Core will help a lot, I just turned that on in Mids and saw that your net end recovery becomes 1.1 end/second with Cardiac Core Paragon. 1.1 end/sec is pretty much the minimum net recovery I look for, so you should be good.
  17. I generally don't play scrappers, so I can't comment on how it plays out, but here's some food for thought. Your net End recovery per second is .3, meaning it takes a little over 3 seconds to get 1 endurance back Gambler's Cut on your build has a recharge of 1.26 seconds and an arcana time of just under 1 second (.924 to be exact). So, if all you do is cast Gambler's Cut once every 2.2 seconds you're using 1.99 endurance per second on attacks. I'm too lazy to do the rest of the math right now, but hopefully you can see what the problem is. If not, here's another way to look at it... that 4.37 end that Gambler's Cut costs would take 14.6 seconds to recover. You do have conserve power to help with mitigation, but that only lasts 90 seconds and has a recharge of over 5 minutes.

    Tanker advice

    Welcome to City! Are there any sets that cry out to you? Either primary or secondary? That would help narrow down options.
  19. Honestly, your net end recovery is way too low. You'll never be able to run all those toggles and actually attack. I've attached my DA/Kat build for comparison. I went Mu mastery for concept but you could easily swap out another APP. Tanker (Dark Armor - Katana).mbd

  21. Soul Mastery gets Power Boost, which recharges in half the time of Power Build Up (not that it really matters since PBU's base recharge is the same as the duration of the FF shields)
  22. Defenders with power boost and Force Field is the winner for handing out +Defense. Pair it with dark blast for giggles.

  24. Energy Aura is one of the best defensive sets in the game. You really can't go wrong with it.
