Pretty sure if you read the text that introduces you to him out says "go outside" or something like that, and when you do go outside it adds him to there compass.
Tankers have Gauntlet, which gives a 5 target AoE taunt to all single target attacks.
Savage has 3 good AoEs for tanks too, he should be starting off by jumping in with Savage Leap, which should grab most aggro.
Additionally, tanks all have a taunt aura in their primary. (in this case Invincibility) which will help as well.
One thing to think about is that Assault Rifle has 3 Cones and you'll likely be taking all 3 of them, meaning you'll be jumping in and out of melee range.
Other than that, I don't think it's too crazy.
Yes, but Ageless Radial is better for dark because there's no DDR in the set. Unless you forgo defense in your build, radial is the better choice, making cardiac the best alpha choice.
Illusion controllers are usually very fun for me. Something about all of the chaos they create while being not terrible at control is just the bees knees.
my Fear Monger was a Dark/Dark tank with presence pool. Yes, Fearsome Stare is a better fear than either Cloak of Fear or Touch of Fear, but there are no secondaries for Controllers or doms that offer additional fear.
If you're going for a corruptor, your best bet for primary is going to be either Beam Rifle or Sonic. Beam has built in extra -Regen and sonic has extra -resist.
I'm going to argue that Traps makes a better big game hunter than either rad or dark, with purple Patch you're looking at a big hit to the -to-hit that you provide, whereas Traps has FFG. Traps, Rad and Dark will all solo well throughout the leveling up process.
As for illusion. It will be slow but safe. Once you can pick up Deceive you can take out a hard target before aggroing a group. PA and Spectral Terror are really when you start to be able to solo larger spawns.
The only toon that I've soloed a GM on was my Beam/Traps Corr, though there are probably others that I have that could do it.
Illusion/Dark
Illusion/Traps
Illusion/Rad
to name a few contenders.
I've also noticed that "jousting" to get the final hit and (hopefully) land out of range doesn't work because you're in the area when they lost their last HP, regardless of where you are when their animation goes off.
SR has better defenses and DDR.
When I want "absolutely cannot die" I turn to my Granite Stone/Dark tank. The only time he so much as flinches is when fighting all pain enemies, in which case he just turns on minerals and goes without Granite
Time bomb is completely skippable
I personally love seeker drones as an alpha cracker and for the To-hit and damage debuffs they provide. I could see not needing that alpha cracking ability on an Illusion though.
Triage is helpful in some situations, but as Doc said, if you've got perma-PA you probably don't need it. If you can spare the power pick and slots, it does have a couple nice +recharge bonus sets though.
Here is version 2 of the build... I was aiming for survivability first and recharge second on this one, I suspect it will do a bit better than the previous build in harder content, but all feedback is welcome.
Hi,
Looking for help with my Therm/DP who is currently level 50 but only about 1/2 built. I'm also looking for advice for incarnate choices.
My main goal is to be as helpful as possible in HM ITFs.
thanks!
Ok, so I just did some fiddling around with it and apparently its not Homecoming Launcher, its lutris, because when I run the wine command with the path to the launcher file it launches just fine.
I'm suddenly having trouble getting the launcher to run in Ubuntu 22.04. The problem started when I installed Steam on my computer. Ever since then, Lutris just freezes when I try to run Homecoming. I tried turning on and off steam play compatibility and tried changing my Proton from experimental to 7.0-3 like Toxis suggested, but am still not having any luck. Anyone else experience this sort of problem?
Im running
Ubuntu 22.04
Mids 3.2.17
and an Acer 27 inch monitor.
I was actually originally trying this on my Asus laptop that has a 17" 4k monitor. It seems better on my Acer display, probably because of the lower pixel density, but I still need to get a bit closer to it to be able to read some things.
