  1. I guess the question boils down to "are any of the attacks real stinkers?" Right now both of my very old planned builds have all 9 powers from DB, which causes issues with eating up slots where they could be better put.
  2. Hey there, so I have a pair of DB/Invulnerable toons in their 20s (a brute and a tank) and I'm stuck on their builds. I have been told to "ignore combos and just go for the best attacks". However, I don't know what those attacks are. So, my question is simple, for these toons, what Dual Blades attacks are considered skippable? Thanks!
  3. You're going to want to fill in that attack chain a little bit. Gauntlet is an AoE taunt to all of your single target attacks, so by attacking you are tanking. As for the best Adaptation... Defensive will keep you alive best, Efficient will help your endurance and with some Regen. So those are the two I'd stick with if you don't care at all about damage. Offensive has a -resist penalty, so you end up slightly less durable. That being said, things will sure fastest in offensive, and dead things deal no damage.
  4. I was going to suggest Martial Arts specifically for Storm Kick, but then you said you aren't trying to test a primary's defensive capabilities. That really limits your options a lot, as most sets get something pretty good in terms of extra mitigation. Have you thought about a "gobbledygook 2.0" claws/Regen?
  5. Stealth alone makes you "effectively" as invisible as a stalker. You've got boss level invisibility, so nothing will see you without +perception. Usually the things with extra perception can see through everything.
  6. Yes, I'd say it was working as intended because catalyzing am enhancement makes it work at your level, not the level of the un-catalyzed io. So your level 29 character should get slightly better results from a catalyzed enhancement than it would a level 28 enhancement. To confirm this, if you looked at the value for a level 29 enhancement it should be the same as your catalyzed one.
  7. Ice arrow doesn't lower resistance to resistance debuffs, it lowers the (de)buffs the enemy does. So this means that any -to-hit they do will be weaker, alternately, it also affects any +to-hit they have. You can see this in CoD as -Special as apposed to Acid Arrow which is -Res(Special) Similarly, EMP Arrow does not do -Res(Special). It lists it as -Boost... which I have no idea what that means, but looking at the child effect, it seems to be the same as the -Special that Ice Arrow does (just greater magnitude). I loaded up a power analyzer and jumped into game to confirm this. Acid Arrow shows up as the Resistances being debuffed, EMP Arrow does not show these.
  8. I had that combo as a tanker and just found it boring because of how safe it was, what AT were you that had so much end issues?

the numbers you see in the info tab include Scourge, which shouldn't be included in base damage calculations.
  10. you could also use them to create incarnate components.
  11. The easiest way to ignite it at will is going to be either Apprentice Charm or Taser Dart. But as the others have said, there are lots of other ways available to you.
  12. By themselves, that duo just doesn't have the damage output/debuffs to take down a level 50 AV. I'd suggest teaming up with more than just the duo to do that TF.
  13. like Invader said, sounds like you were hit by a defense debuff. when you attacked. you get the lower number (depending on AT) when you're in combat.
  14. These
  15. Oh good, I'm not the only one I actually do still use it, just have to remember the quirks.
  16. The smallest/outermost finger on the hand.
  17. Both of those would allow for a higher reward to risk ratio. Basically, completing multiple missions by stealthing the NPC would be more rewarding than actually having to fight through a single mission.
  18. I'd post my build but 2 issues 1. I'm not at my computer, so I don't have access to it 2. It's an older build of mine, so it's probably not as fine tuned as I'd like
  19. Sonic is a good set. I don't know about Corruptors, but on Defenders it's good. Not great, but good. The nice thing about the set is Sonic Cage and Sonic Repulsion are easily skippable, giving you more room for other powers. The stinker is Liquify's recharge it's just way too long.
  20. Waffle cones > sugar cones.
  21. I personally feel a dominator could be doing better things with their time than using Aid Other. That being said, whatever floats your boat.
  22. You're right. Electric Affinity is already a top tier set. Amp Up is a good power, not a great power, but a good one. Buffing a top tier set seems.... unnecessary?
  23. There isn't a "sniper" class per se, but some power sets have a snipe. If you want to feel "sniperish" I'd probably recommend a Beam Rifle/Energy blaster. You get a lot of strong single target attacks, a snipe power, and Energy Manipulation has Boost Range to give yourself increased range on all of your ranged attacks.
  24. It's really a great power pick, but it is an investment. It's end heavy, as others have said, and it locks you into soul mastery (don't get me wrong, gloom is awesome). I've taken it on some of my tanks and its a great extra aggro tool, but I can't get it in on all of my builds.
