  1. Red side *is* harder than blue side, but it's not so hard that a new player can't do it.
  2. Wait? Liquify is disappointing?
  3. Dr. Todd is different because she's an Ally, not just an NPC. If you try to Assemble the Team in a random hostage mission, you'll get your team with no hostage. If you could keep her selected, you could use Teleport Target on Dr. Todd.
  4. Correct. But Shadow Fall and Group Invisibility are not mutually exclusive.
  5. I believe the reason is actually so you can't just farm them by stealthing to the end, rescuing the hostage, stealthing to the exit, and TPing them. I know there are times when NPCs have been made to not be able to be teleported to prevent this exact scenario from happening (I'm looking at you Amy in the KHTF)
  6. Celerity +Stealth stacks with any other source of +stealth because it's an IO Bonus, not a power. So Steamy Mist + Celerity = full invisibility.
  7. You might want to consider an Elec/Elec controller, Conductive Aura does a good job at sapping enemies and Galvanic Sentinel and Shock are good at keeping them drained.
  8. in Mids, at the top, go to "Import/Export" then "Short Forum Export". I always check the "Export Data Chunk as well as DataLink box, then just click "Export Now" that will put everything on your clipboard.
  9. I'd say everything but Inertial Reduction and Repel should be taken on a Kin. As for Assault vs Maneuvers, in most cases I'd say take assault, but Siphon Power + Fulcrum Shift is plenty of +damage, the little bit of defense in Maneuvers will go further. For Rad Blast, X-Ray Beam has a long cast time compared to the damage it deals, so if you've got a higher-recharge build (like say, the bonus from Siphon Speed) Neutrino Bolt spamming is the better way to go. Electron Haze could be skipped on a Kin since you'll want to be in melee, and EH is a cone, but your mileage may vary.
  10. you might want to think about a Sonic and a Thermal defender then pair it with a defense tank set (I'm looking at you Super Reflexes) then you've got nearly capped resist and nearly capped defense with just SOs. Heck, SR can cap defense with just SOs.
  11. I guess it depends on your definition of "training wheels set". A decent emp will keep a bad team alive better than a decent kin would, so in that sense, it's training wheels *for the team* not for the defender. If the team understands how to play, a Kin will do better, because, as said before, dead enemies deal no damage, and kin is better at making things dead. If a team knows how to play with a kin (ie: stay in melee when low on health) then a kin can do a decent job keeping the team alive.
  12. People keep saying this, and maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Rage didn't stack anymore?
  13. Electric's is a chain, meaning if things move once you start casting, the chain can break. it also takes a while for the chain to get to every enemy if you have more than 2-3 guys that its chaining to.
  14. One other thing to note: half of Flash Arrow's -to-hit is unresistable, meaning even if you aren't quite at the soft cap for defense, against Flashed enemies, you are. I noticed you skipped Poison Gas Arrow... this power is really underrated. The sleep isn't really worth much, especially with all of fire's DoTs, but the damage debuff is huge. Here's my Fire/TA for comparison
  15. I've been playing my TA/A quite a bit lately. He's currently got Support Hybrid, but I realized I would be better off with Assault to get the extra damage (he really doesn't need the +end redux). My question is, do I go Assault Core or Assault Radial, and while I'm working on earning the Emp merits for the very rare, do I go Total or Partial for my tier 3?
  16. I'm going to recommend Rad/Sonic, it's an oldie, but a goodie. Lots of debuffs, AoE heal, endurance management, and if your tanker dies, you've got fallout to boot!
  17. on live it was 10 I believe.
  18. On some of my toons (Illusion/TA, for example) I take Superior Invisibility, on others, where you can't stack that kind of stealth (/Dark, /Storm) Group Invisibility means you're still getting full invisibility. They both do have uses.
  19. I like it... it's been a while since I've played an electrical blast up to a level where I have it, so I can't comment on whether or not the numbers need to be smudged, but I'd be against changing it completely.
  20. My WP/Spines is only in its 20s, but I've played the set enough to have a good feel on survivable it will be. Here's my planned build. Regen is slightly lower than what I'd like, but I suppose if you were to go Vigor for your Alpha that could be made up for.
  21. yes, it will have a chance to fire once every 10 seconds.
  22. It's not actually unique, you can slot it up to 5x The 6th IO in the set grants 6% Psionic resistance.
  23. What secondary are you looking at using? For WP I generally try to hard cap S/L and then soft cap E/N/F/C and have somewhere around 700% regen. As for debuffs, your best bet is Ageless Radial Epiphany on auto fire.
  24. EMP Arrow for at least controllers (haven't tried MM/Corr) does not apply the hold/-regen that it is supposed to. The only thing it does is drop the faraday cage. Thanks,
  25. There is currently a bug with TA where EMP Arrow doesn't do anything but the Faraday Cage for non-defenders, meaning you don't have any -regen. Like I said, that's a bug, so once it gets fixed, the answer is "probably". TA is a pretty solid debuffing set.
