when looking for saved costumes in the creator it's very difficult to find what I'm looking for. I save many costumes - often I will adapt one from an existing save to suit a character I'm making or adding a new costume slot to. This means I have a very very very long list of costume saves (close to 17 for Scarlet Shocker at last count, for example) and it would be great to be able to organise them in a more logical manner. Even if it was possible to skip to alphabetic letters rather than simply scroll from A to... well, let's use S in the above example. No clue how achievable it is but would be a great QoL improvement

I was looking for a different sub forum and I came across Fort Trident. Being unfamiliar with it, I checked to see what its purpose was and was surprised to see it is guides. It does seem to be primarily for TFs/SFs and end game content but then if you were looking for a guide as a forum novice, why would you look there? There's already a guides section. This to me seems confusing, unnecessary and superfluous - and Fort Trident as a title tells you nothing of its purpose per se. I might understand if there was a ton of guides being posted regularly but no. A couple per month in each forum tops. There are already far too many sub-forums to navigate easily (don't get me started on finding your way around here) so why make things even more complex than it should be?

I came across this yesterday and figured you might have an interest in it I can't speak to many of the items on this "list" but it seems a little wonky and mostly fluff but I figured if you've not already seen it, it might be worth a look, for completists at least.

many of the "classic" TFs have a "Master of" badge which indicates completion under more arduous conditions including not dying. Those are significant achievements. Not sure if you were already aware of that but it's the closest you can get. There's also a badge that you can get that might be entitled "Undying" (Working from memory here I'm sure other badgers will correct/enhance details) with a description akin to "It's possible you can't be killed" - that represents your character's journey through adversity.

Actually I feel like I should apologize to Golden Girl - I had a lot of respect for her on live because of her sheer dedication to the game and community even if she could sometimes be a bit... single minded.

Need help with a concept character

At the risk of necroing my own thread, I wanted to give an update on this one. With the arrival of Marine I found the perfect assimilation for Mesmermaid - obviously a Mind/Marine She exists on Indom along with her compatriot, a Plant/Marine known locally as The Bladderwrack - so I'm hoping great things from them both. -
Thank you. I understand now. Your quest to be Homecoming's very own Golden Girl seems to have been achieved! Congratulations

judging by the state of your coffin bed I can say with a high degree of confidence that you have many many fixations dear

uh... pointing out you either have an agenda or you're fixated on a particular aspect of the game is not really bullying. It's simply pointing out that you have an agenda or a particular fixation.

Entitlement!

"I tried to solo something on a team game that I shouldn't be able to solo on said team game and it turns out I couldn't solo it on this team game so can we fix it so I can solo all the things please?"

revisiting this post I'm very happy to see that five individuals have gotten involved in it. That's super encouraging given that is approximately four times the number of actual people on the server itself 🤣 -
Bless you!

Going Hero to Villain, will I lose my missions?
Scarlet Shocker replied to missingsc's topic in General Discussion
One thing you haven't mentioned is the level you plan to swap missions. If you're below 50 and swap sides, you might find you outlevel all your content - unless you're turning off XP. -
Do higher level Freaks still need buffing?

That is the very nature of PUGs. I don't think there would be any difference on any server in most games. Working as a team is the entire objective and many pugs simply don't. That's been my experience in pretty well every MMO I've played -

We have a regular Saturday team (and the occasional casual teaming) on Indom in our little group and it works well and is rewarding. There will usually be about six of us regular players and we'll often pick up a couple of casual guys to fill the team so that is not an issue at all so far as our experience goes. Obviously we'd welcome anyone who wanted to join us but we're pretty solid as things happen and arrange stuff via our discord, so that's not an issue at all. One of the reasons I like Indom - and this is entirely personal - is that it is low pop. In my eyes, superheroes/villains, metahumans etc whatever you wish to call them should be relatively few and far between, and outnumbered by the villain groups and other ne'er-do-wells of the environments. It gives a bit of extra flavour to that aspect of the game, where the protagonists are the ones under pressure. -

I know that exists but I don't always remember in time and I'm actually quite happy to level at the "normal" pace, which means generally speaking I don't have to. Disabling (and reenabling) XP is a bit of a PITA and I'd much rather forget about it -
I wonder what it was about the live game the OP prefers? Since Sunset we got our beloved game back, we have new ATs, we have lots of new content, and I think most of us would agree that the game is better now than what it was when it wasn't as good as what it is. Why are you asking? You never usually ask when to rant. 🤣
-
Our regular saturday team often outlevels content due to the "inherent" DXP, especially at lower levels. This was very noticeable on our last run and we look set to start another soon from level one. I don't object to DXP per se but it doesn't seem to have had the desired effect in load balancing (or at least significantly) and the DXP is unavoidable as it stands. Can it be made to be optional somehow (like something Null the Gull could offer) for those who want it, while allowing it to be disabled for those who don't? I don't want to bollix up enjoyment for players who like it but it would be great to have a choice.

Welcome I'd strongly advise that you play and enjoy the content, especially at first. Probably most easily done as a hero in Paragon (rather than a villain, or Praetorian.) Blue, red, then gold, to put it in colloquial terms. You can power level but you will lose out on a lot of player experience and feel for the game and some of the best content is along the journey. (It's not bad to PL per se but I firmly believe you'll have a much more rewarding experience doing it old school) Make lots of alts and experiment with different ATs (Archetypes) to discover which you like best. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of powerset combinations so have fun discovering those too. Don't be afraid to ask for help in the Help chat channel. People are pretty friendly and will give good advice. Have many funs.
