  1. These are the people who successfully kept a secret code server running for years. There are spy organizations that cannot guard a secret that well. I am not going to second guess their backup plans. I am not going to try to get them to divulge more than they want to when they want to. If the game implodes due to internet attacks or legal attacks I am sure this will all go poof. But somewhere....
  2. For my current run yes. I am also going to be doing all Gold mission badges and alignment badges as well as Blue mission badges in Ouro. All TF SF and Trial badges. On this run also doing all First Ward and Night Ward. Running 25-29 content now. Almost done Red stuff then start Blue/Gold. 702 badges
  3. lol. I said Live but I meant Homecoming. Undead life? Life again? Anyways, yes, these should be enshrined. Then sold lol
  4. I think those date to my first run back through on live....2-3 years ago?
  5. My current run is slightly more organized, leaves off VEAT, and only has 1-29 covered....
  6. Sorry for the stains, photo quality, and the wear and tear of unlife. These things bounce around my crypt forever.
  7. I have not found one. I do this about once a year. I turn off exp to do so. I keep a handwritten log (updated each run) that guides me. The current one I am working off of is 5 1/2 pages long. It was generated by clicking on each contact in the Villain contacts, writing down name, level range, who they introduce, how to unlock. Special notes like Arachnos VEAT contact, SSA contact, Strike Force contact etc. In my mind someday I will put this on an excel spreadsheet. But I do love pen and paper. Very tactile. I have done some drawing and painting. I even write stories a little better with a honest notebook than on the computer. Sigh. So old lol.
  8. I re-"vamped" (get it? get it?) my elec Blaster into a Blast Tank based on watching a new player use a Blaster in a fire farm and abuse Force Mastery. I came up with this strange beast. It will not compete for damage with a Fire/Fire. But it stays at Range, and has TWO insanely powerful "Oh Crap!" buttons. Force Mastery's Personal Force Field and Concealment's Phase Shift. 9. But it is the end. Sort of. Until Ouro
  10. Why? Why do you raise the pain (and aching realization of no fix EVER) of Invulnerability's Tier 9, laughing called "Unstoppable" Gauranteed Stop. Mike Drop. Well played you evil person.
  11. That is really important to know thank you
  12. I was just hoping the OP (and anyone else concerned about high prices) had come away from this with the tools to earn. I find it incredibly easy to earn a few hundred million. In fact it is sort of automatic at this point. With a couple days effort (not hard effort, just focused on farming and crafting instead of badging and TFs) I can earn a billion+ Real smooth. people who are struggling to understand enhancers selling for 1-4 million for average enhancers and 5-20 million for special enhancers have probably not experienced this earning potential there are guides in marketing and guides in farming and if you ask people like Ukase ( i have seen this) will go over exact strategy with you in game for an hour or more. I am sure some of the other smart people here would as well. Dont ask me 1) i am not that clever at it and hate to show my ignorance 2) i aint that nice
  13. I use Touch of Fear specifically because i run Fear toggle AND the AoE change on it. The combo was just too strong to ignore. Dark is also awkward on attack chains so this gives another tool. Touch of Fear and Shadow Maul is a nice one-two in a crowded area
  14. yeah, and the reason I do not research more is because the solution comes down to ....1) have the tank solo the thing away from the team 2) kill the thing. anything else is literally sad choices
  15. A Tank's taunt is magnitude 4. That tells us one thing for sure. That magnitude will vary. It is not set for every taunter across the game. When fighting the AVs in the Miss Liberty TF you will encounter Black Scorpion. Who will Taunt. Pretty sure (complete guess) his Taunt will have a higher Magnitude. The advice you received in game was good. Escape inspirations. Assault power. Possibly Clarion Incarnate power? (probably...) All help. What helps most is killing the taunter. Or the oldest trick in the book. Having a Tank Taunt the Taunter before the thing wrecks the team. Then they can have a insult fight while the team wrecks the room and deal with the Taunter last.
  16. I have soloed Redside many times on a Brute. It is slower than the Blaster. It is also like driving a plush high end Humvee with all the comforts instead of a 1930s racecar with an engine a gas pedal and a steering wheel.
  17. Enjoyable. That is a tough metric. Play what you like. I am currently soloing most of the game (story arcs) on a Blaster. Clears faster than a scrapper lol
  18. Brutes are tougher than Scrappers. Against bosses (when your Fury gets topped out consistently) the damage is very good, although still slightly lower than Scrappers. When you pull a room (which a Brute loves to do) your Fury will top out and the damage is very good. It is a bull in a china shop playstyle. As long as you have a topped out Fury mechanic you are going to be doing good damage. You have near Tanker survivability. Tanker are tougher and have the AoE buff. Scrappers get crits. Pick your battle plan.
  19. I mained a Dark/Dark/Soul Brute for 6-7 months before switching to a Dark/Dark Blaster. Built to their strengths (which is NOT defense...) they are insanely tanky.
  20. havent done it....but assuming RWZ and such are impossible you can run AE arcs in pocket D. then at 50 join any incarnate trials....i assume just in the D...and winter event... can you use the LFG transporter to go to Cim and run ITF? You would have the badge from Night Ward...
  21. A leetle Snarky I might say lol. Most of the responses are generally trying to help. A question like this falls into the category “I am not sure what to ask because I am lost in the subject”. So polite conversation and tidbits of advice get the ball rolling in the right direction
  22. It really depends on goals. In my opinion. You want cash? Farms. You want incarnate power “burdens of the past” arc in ouro. You want fun? Mad cap incarnate trials and any task force. ( fun to run on a kitted out 50 lol)
  23. If you are running a Psi damage TF or Minds of Mayhem incarnate trial go to Auction. Buy medium and large oranges. Put in email and leave stored on AH. Fill tray about half full. Prob solved.
  24. the best place for detailed info is homecoming wiki. Enhancement Sets - Unofficial Homecoming Wiki (cityofheroes.dev) There is a metric crapton of information on that page. just raw data to the unwashed masses. Then there are all the meta rules of enhancers. diminishing returns, slotting them at min level -3, getting them attuned, never buying/attuning purple sets, and on and freaking on. There is a lot to know. You will make mistakes. It is okay. You will make less than good builds. It is okay. I just switched to Blasters from Brutes. (I build and/or steal builds for great brutes) I am just starting to realize my Blaster build has been working against me after a couple months. Still kills stuff great. Time for a rebuild lol. Play the game, run builds from good builders. Do things you like. There are a very few optimal Archetypes and builds. Speedrunners build insanely tight. So do some farmers. My style is roller derby through the streets of "Escape from Los Angeles" It is ugly and fun and once in a while I learn something. You are asking questions in the right place at least. As you settle on an Archetype the forum for that archetype should have a few helpful people and can be searched for conversations on the topics you are looking at. Have fun. Seriously.
