  1. They're not. Hover and Fly are mutually exclusive, Hover and CJ are not.
  2. I had this idea the other day while looking at Silver Mantis LFG ads. A mercs/whatever MM, called "The Weekly Strike Force." All the pets would be named after days of the week, like Private Monday, Corporal Thursday, etc. with the player/captain as Saturday, because Saturday's just the best.
  3. The way I recall he said "The three whip powers required as much rigging and animation effort as five full conventional powersets." And given that I'm reasonably sure that the Homecoming devs probably don't have the animation software or experience to create full animations from scratch, it's not too likely they'd create an all-whip set. Now an Assault set as has been suggested a couple times, that could possibly work.
  4. Only so far as the choice missions are all solo only, as I recall.
  5. I don't bother too much. Primarily I'll set up a Bodyguard bind and use the "attack this target" default bind. I have the pets murder something then put them into bodyguard to stop shooting while I have them then kill something else and repeat as necessary while hitting them and the enemies with buffs/debuffs.
  6. That sounds vaguely like Desdemona.
  7. I use the deathadder as well in its left-hand variant. It's sized well enough that I don't feel my entire hand either curling around it or unable to easily access all the buttons and the wheel because it's so big. Two side buttons is sufficient for my gaming needs as well.
  8. Pretty much, yeah. You can also see this behavior in action in the "martial training" blaster secondary. I forget the exact power name, but it's a +absorb toggle.
  9. So had this idea earlier for a super group. Usually when I get ideas like this I drop them in a global channel for a few laughs and move on, the inspiration having been released. An example would be my Stone/Street tanker boxer idea "Rocky Gibraltar." In this case the idea might have some merit so I'm releasing it to the wild if someone is interested in picking it up and running with it, or in joining such a group if I do so. A group dedicated to helping all the various powered individuals from other times and other realities who have ended up on Primal Earth. With that said, I give you "The Time Warped." With the assistance of another fan of the classic, suggested ranks are: 1) Scientist 2) Heroine 3) Handyman 4) Domestic 5) Groupie
  10. I think they started doing that around... Issue 16? Sometime between then and ~22.
  11. No, since they're not part of the invention system as I recall.
  12. Only so far as increasing the number of mobs in a mission increases the number of rolls on the loot tables.
  13. As I recall it's once when cast, then every couple seconds after that. Three seconds, I think? It may have been "check every tic cycle, then suppress briefly when it triggers" but it's been enough years that I don't remember.
  14. If you took it on a Tank, their "gauntlet" effect (AOE taunt on target of power) is multiple target, but the damage portion is not. If it's on a Brute, nothing about it is AOE and it's probably mis-tagged.
  15. Haven't rolled it, but I had a terrible pun name/concept for a stone/mace tank or brute. Plumber outfit with the pipe mace, name Hard Caulk.
