  1. *raises hand* Me too! I care about difficulty and balance.
  2. Its still possible though, I have gotten to 50 a couple of times on squishy toons without being defeated. Either by luck or just knowing my limits and avoiding situations that would get me defeated. I know this because I personally kept track of it and made it a goal. So it is possible on any toon. But yeah its completely pointless to make this a badge if farming would count towards it... So moot point.
  3. Idk I kinda liked the diminishing returns idea. Just like with damage enhancements. The more damage procs you stack on the power the less effective each one becomes.
  4. A dominator is a good example of a toon that generally doesn't need a whole lot of defense though, once you get perma dom, not much can hit you back if you are locking down the entire spawn with mez. So you can afford the opportunity to load up on a bunch of damage procs and still remain relatively safe. Also, Bonfire is insane. I am actually currently working on a build for Mandragora that is essentially the same thing you have done. She is Plant/Thorn. EDIT: Also, if it has taken this long to produce the videos I can't be entirely confident in its results one way or the other... Too much time has passed to allow for catching the perfect run or doctoring the videos to show whatever point is trying to be made. I only said that because I just realized we never got the videos we were promised 😞
  5. The more I think about this, the more I want it. Bragging rights and all... Also, maybe a badge for making it to 50 without being defeated? ...and another for making it to Vet 50 without being defeated... ...and another and another for every 50 vet levels up to some point... EDIT: Nevermind... Because farming...
  6. I would just like to point out we are still waiting on those videos.
  7. Hell yes, give me my scythe! Heads will roll! be arrested!
  8. But Dark Armor also doesn't have any KB protection. You could say that is a hole that can be filled with IO's and then I could say that your endurance/recovery debuff resistance can be covered with incarnates. So... trade-offs and all that...
  9. Bio is already a super tough set as it is. My SJ/Bio stalker regularly solos +4/x8, including against enemies that have massive defense debuffs (like banished pantheon). Just find the debuffers and take them out first. Bio has so much helping it stay alive outside of its defense. Also, there is an incarnate for that.
  10. I don’t think anyone claimed it would be a grand solution. Just an extra option for some builds. The sacrifices alone make it not power creep and if you wouldn’t use it as you make clear then I am not certain what or why exactly you are arguing. If you think it’s scraps then don’t use it and move along. I like out of the box novel ideas as well. I suggested one earlier in this thread. But, it didn’t seem to get any traction and those for this change seem to be set on the 3 mag prot toggle. I wouldn’t mind either solution, because I think it’s a good idea regardless. It gives players more options without being inherently OP. But hey, I’ve said this over and over and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere so I’ll just sum it up with this: I disagree with you. Who cares. It won’t ever be implemented anyways.
  11. This is exactly what I’ve been saying the entire time. Thank you for speaking up you may have said it better than me! 😂
  12. Lol what? 😂 I’ve already explained why to put it in. Read up bro… EDIT: Also, if you think that would be useless… then why are you fighting so hard to prevent it?
  13. This is the key right here that a few people keep overlooking…. 3 pts. This isn’t mez immunity, this is just errant random one off mez protection. I believe we even said it would simply be hold, stun, sleep too at some point…
  14. For me it really isn’t about that. Side stepping the mobs that have AOE mez, btw. Tanks/Brutes can’t help you against that. Regardless, I know there are methods around it, I use all of the mentioned methods all the time and still enjoy playing the game. For me it’s about introducing a new and interesting power pool that (if done correctly) can further promote build diversity, especially among the squishier AT’s, without necessarily being inherently overpowering.
  15. I do all of this as well. My main is psi/rad, it is 100% doable, yes. But a power that grants just Mag 3 status protection that requires 2 other power choices to obtain doesn’t seem all that horrible an idea overall. If that were available to me I 100% guarantee it wouldn’t be used on all of my toons, but it would see some use on a couple of them where it make sense. Power pools are tight as it is, limiting you to only 4. What would you give up for mag 3 protection? That becomes an interesting question. Most builds as is take Speed Pool, Leadership Pool, and/or Fighting pool, then sometimes throwing in stealth, or jumping, or experimentation, or sorcery, etc etc, so what would clearly be replaced by a mag 3 prot toggle? Idk I’ll have to think on that more but that’s kinda where my head is right now…
  16. I agree to an extent but, in my opinion, I think it can be done right. Mag 3 mez prot isn’t going to make you immune to much, most of the problem mobs stack mez anyways and if you do this in a way that would require build sacrifices then you would have a built in trade off for the desired effect. Another idea for this would be, what if the power protected you from from mez up to the point that you would be mezzed and then drops and goes in recharge? For example: Toggle on, you have Mag 3 hold protection. Mob hits you with Mag 2 hold, nothing happens. Mob stacks 2 Mag 2 holds on you for a total of 4 Mag. The protection drops and goes on 30 sec recharge. You are NOT held but now you have no protection for the next 30 seconds. Could be that the toggle never drops but the prot does go away after it’s limits are reached and then auto turns back on? Idk if that would even work, just thinking outside the box… as a sort of compromise.
  17. I actually agree with you that squishies dont need mez protection to be efficient. If you play them correctly it shouldnt be a huge issue. Play smarter not harder and all. My favorite AT’s are all squishy (as evident by my signature lol). Hell my main has Clarion and I often forget to use it and don’t even notice sometimes 😂 That being said I don’t see an issue with a pool or even an epic pool that provides a small baseline mez prot (mag 3 at least) because it would make build planning more interesting. Maybe now I can get that instead of clarion, thus freeing me up for say… barrier? I would be making build sacrifices for that, such as no Soul Mastery (Soul Drain is awesome), no Mace Mastery (because Scorp shield is awesome), etc etc…
  18. I actually really like this idea as a compromise, though I still think I’d prefer it as a standard pool.
  19. I think you are right, and because of that I would set it at mag 3, enough to cover ONE hold/stun. But would it be against ALL or just hold, stun, sleep? maybe hold, stun, sleep, KB (though you do already get significant KB resist from Acrobatics).
  20. If done in a way that requires 2 power choices for the mez prot power and the mez prot power isn’t super high then I don’t see how this would introduce power creep. I don’t like power creep either but I think that phrase gets thrown around too liberally and often just means “change = bad!” This pool can be done right to give players an extra set of options without being a default go to. 4 mez prot to all may be too high though…
  21. A) I didn’t bring up the point and don’t entirely agree with it in FA’s current state. B) See Galaxy Brains post. Lol. Fiery Aura before procs was objectively worse than Fiery Aura now, but it was still the cheapest and most efficient way to farm. That doesn’t mean it was great at anything else. In fact, it was even less common back then to see a fiery aura toon out of a farm unless it was paired with Ice Melee or Dark Melee. Do you understand how farming works and why Fiery Aura is so popular with farming? Legit question. You keep bringing up farming like it’s evidence of Fiery Aura greatness. Farming isn’t normal PvE gameplay. You do know there is a difference don’t you? For what feels like the millionth time. I don’t think Fiery Aura is CURRENTLY underperforming. I think it will be IF THEY NERF/FIX BURN. You disagree, that’s fine… how about stick with that? Lol for all the reasons mentioned above. Edit: And see arcane’s or macskull’s post about what happened when they did nerf/fix burn.
  22. You make some good points here but keep relying on the same few arguments: 1) Brute fiery aura outnumbers ever other set BECAUSE OF FARMING. They are rare outside of that. 2) Fiery Aura doesn’t need help in its current state, but if they nerf/fix burn then Fiery Aura loses its big advantage and thus becomes a weak set overall. The argument (at least the one I’ve made) for buffing fiery aura is around making sure it doesn’t lose its 1 advantage without getting some form of balancing compensation. Also, you say every set should have 1 weakness, Fiery Aura currently has 2 major holes, not 1. And those holes I am fine with, if Burn stays as is. But not so much if it becomes weaker… depends on what they do. 3) That one enemy was brought up as an example. The sets that underperform usually underperform in many different situations not just that 1. @Galaxy Brain I believe did a test on the different armor sets survival against MULTIPLE enemy groups and Fiery Aura and Dark Armor consistently performed dead last under pretty much every test. Granted it was a baseline test but it shows that their foundation isn’t as strong as others. Which, again, is fine for Fiery Aura in its current state. Maybe not so fine for Dark Armor… I will see if I can find it, if he doesn’t post it here first…
  23. I don’t know if this was the intent originally but this would be cool if they were auto powers. Would be less work for the devs since they wouldn’t need any animations or effects. Just an icon and some background math applied to your character. That being said how do you make this useful without being a must have? I think it can be done and certainly seems intriguing as it could open up more build diversity, which is a good thing. What would the Pool name be? Resiliency? Hardiness? Grit? Idk… EDIT: realizing now though, there may not be a way currently to slot these powers…
  24. Thank you all for holding on to all of my badges for me... can I have them back now? 😄
  25. Is there anything that can be done from a Dev's perspective to entice more people over to Indom to help it out a bit? Despite a ton of effort from a handful of people to keep Indom going it does seem to be slowly but surely fading away. I am certain this can be reversed, but the question remains what can be done? Does anyone have any ideas? To be clear, no one is asking for Indom to become the most populace server, but it would be nice to get a few new faces over there.
