  1. I want to be able to fly butt first through the sky. You may sayyyy I'm a dreamerrrr.....
  2. Where do I sign?
  3. I get the idea behind this but I would much rather the dev's time and effort be spent elsewhere... there are already plenty of hairstyles for all head types. I don't think this will be as simple as you believe it will, and I am a hard NO on more clipping just to make it happen. If it is going to be done I want it done well, not half-ass.
  4. Lol yeah, if you’re using RotP… you have failed. 😂
  5. I agree. But not every suggestion has the intention to bring a sub par set up to the level of a top tier set. I think that gets lost here sometimes... Sometimes a top tier set is mentioned just to show how big the gap is, not that the gap needs to be entirely closed. They just want that gap shortened in some way. This is especially true for powersets that fill the same niche. For example: Fiery Aura has large offensive output, it is said that because of that it sacrifices some survival. What other sets out there have large offensive output? Hmm.. *mentions top tier set*. Response: You can't mention the top tier set as an example, we all know that it is top tier and don't want power creep, nothing needs to change, k thx bai. Suggestion: Anyone out there have the raw (base) numbers for every armor set that can share them in a post? I mean no enhancements just all toggles on and show its defense, resistance, regen, status protection, and endurance drain. Then show the total DPA of whatever in that set does damage. Account for heal clickies and what not. For comparison. If not, I may put this together and show you all...
  6. I was about to type a response but basically this. I have a /bio stalker that is 95% of the time in offensive adaptation and she almost NEVER dies. Even solo. Its a stupid strong set even in its "squishy" mode.
  7. I like the intent behind the idea but this goes back into the whole, similar powersets argument that tends to get downvoted into oblivion... Limited time/resources would indicated the simplest way to appease this would be to add clubs/sticks as weapon choices for DB. As Seraphim said.
  8. Then why bring up the number of Fire Farmers? As to your other point, for me it’s not about that one enemy. It’s about: if they nerf burn… then FA has some issues. It is already one of the weaker sets with regards to survival, only made up by its offensive output. So if you knock it’s offense down a peg, those other issues become more glaring and will need a look. As I said, I’d be interested to see how they address that. Though at this point I think it’s clear you disagree and are deeply rooted in that stance so Idk why I keep responding… queue meme gif response…
  9. No it isn’t, it is solid though.
  10. Dark gets a damage aura and oppressive gloom and cloak of fear (and endurance issues 😂 lol) But, seriously I think oppressive gloom is an amazing power, it’s super effective a locking down minions / leuts and thus decreasing incoming damage.
  11. Lol we all know they aren't, hence I think this whole thread and many others, haha
  12. As I said: "in terms of survival", so... yes. And you answered your own question as to why there are so many Fiery Aura toons (Farmers) so congratulations on that... anyways... If they intend to make a balance pass at Burn, as stated earlier by someone else, then my statement stands: In terms of survival Fiery Aura lags behind the other sets. It has a KB hole and a Psi hole. Other sets either have one or the other, not both. Right now Burn and its other offensive abilities somewhat make up for that. But if they nerf Burn the set will be lacking as a whole unless they do something else to help it out.
  13. This may be why you have to rescue him in the Maria Jenkins arc... But yes, mo costume options mo betta.
  14. Not that arcane needs me to defend them but, they were referring to the act not the reality. Meaning when addressing the sets they attempt to keep things at a balance, obviously that doesn't always work out. If you read the entire post they were basically making reference to how there are more things to consider than just one aspect of a set before you make a change willy nilly. The devs are trying to maintain a relative balance, a pro/con to each set. Just FYI.. That being said I do feel like Fiery Aura lags a bit more behind the rest of the field in terms of survival. I am interested to see what they do to address this.
  15. I agree with you on the tank fix. I’ve played both since live and every iteration of each. Solo a Corruptor certainly doesn’t easily have better clear times than a defender “in most cases” unless your playing a Kin or popping reds to keep you at cap. The damage boost that defenders get solo puts them over a Corruptors base damage. Scourge doesn’t kick in till the mob is almost dead. This means the Corruptor usually is only able to outpace a defender against hard targets and only toward the end of that fight. Even then it’s not as clear cut as it should be. Defenders don’t need a damage buff solo. They were fine before it. EDIT: We have sparred on this before and neither of our opinions have changed so let’s just agree to disagree.
  16. Of course you would. Should have rolled a Corruptor then, if you like DPS support. Look, I know they will never make the change because it would piss people off. I am just pointing out the stupidity of “Defenders can encroach on Corruptor role when solo but not vice versa”.
  17. Nothing is wrong with soloing. Just think Defenders don’t need dmg buff when solo is all. Edit: Was half asleep when I responded. Now that I am awake I am curious your intent behind this response. I never said I don’t think Defenders should be allowed to solo or that I don’t like soloing in general. All I said was the damage buff Defenders get when they are solo is asinine. Because it is.
  18. As many people have said. No. Vigilance needs a rework, yes. But, I think the damage buff should be removed ENTIRELY. If you want a Defender that does more damage then make a Corruptor. The damage buff they get solo is completely asinine (and Defenders are one of my favorite ATs). The other buff (endurance reduction) in Vigilance is nearly useless and does need to be made more useful, though. Edit: Could be as simple as a scaling endurance discount per member on the team period. Independent of their health, and maybe even a small one outside of a team. Edit: Just now realizing that I am posting on an old thread. My bad.
  19. So what if we keep it simple and just say that Sentinels get an inherent that (with each attack in its primary) lowers the targets defense and resistance by some small amount that stacks and lasts a moderate amount of time to allow for the possibility of stacking larger amounts on harder targets. Like -0.5% defense to all and -1% resistance to all for 60 seconds. Per attack. Edit: Could even make it ignore resistance to those debuffs, perhaps. (Though idk if that would work for -res mechanically, I do know it works for -def) THEN they get a clicky to double this affect on a single target (thus putting the reticle on them like it does now) that they can use once their bar is full. Just like now each attack would build that bar. Numbers could be adjusted to keep it from being OP or too weak. Just sample numbers. But I think it would fit the theme of the more a sentinel attacks a target the more and more effective they become.
  20. Sonic has its uses. Just lower recharge on Liquify and it goes from decent to solid. This.
  21. Every mind control thread: "...BECAUSE SEEDS OF CONFUSION!" I get it, SoC > MC and it doesn't make sense, but I agree with others here: Plant needs to be addressed as its own thing to bring it down to what the other sets are. Mass confusion doesn't need its recharge reduced. Mind control has a lot going for it and doesn't need a pet. What Mind Control DOES need is: A) Fear effects need to set up containment. B) Telekinesis needs to be not useless. Remove the repel entirely, or give me a location targetter so I can pick where they are pushed to (Kind of like Wormhole from Gravity)! Also increase the target cap! OR significantly lower the end cost... OR just rework it entirely. C) Literally nothing else.
  22. I see no issue with this idea. Nor do I understand the kickback. So they are yellow.... that still doesn't mean you HAVE to kill them. They aren't going to attack you as a yellow... so... don't attack them if you don't want to. OP is simply asking for the ability to attack them, if he wants, which would make sense as a villain. So, yeah, I wouldn't mind this change. EDIT: Hell I even like the idea of this triggering a response from RIP, or Arachnos, or even Longbow in some areas. It certainly would spice things up!
  23. Katana and BS are essentially the same set with a different look and feel, I've played both. That being said, the same could be done with an SMG powerset. Just take the dual pistols idea, change the look and feel. Make all the powers quick DoT instead of one hit (burst vs slug on AR for example) and boom you have a new set that's just like the old set but feels different. Now, how difficult this would be is a different discussion. The animations would almost certainly need to change for several powers if not all. And, there may not be an animation for every power. For example, what animation would you use for the nuke? I suppose you could use the spin from Dual Blades, except of course you are shooting SMGs in a circle around you. May need to slow the animation down a little. Just me thinking in text here at this point... carry on...
  24. This is an idea I too have had for quite some time. It should be possible to do this and keep it balanced in some way. I would lean away from any support abilities though for the set because this would be more of a DPS AT than a support AT. That would be the trade off. You get pets but are less able to keep them alive than say a mastermind, instead focusing on personal survival. Primary Assault is a good idea, gives you a mix of melee and range, then of course secondary pets. The attacks would be removed from the pet sets and be replaced with personal defense themes that fit the theme of the pet set. Just some ideas: Necromancy = Dark Armor Demons = Fire Armor Thugs = Willpower-ish Ninjas = Ninjutsu / Super Reflexes Mercenaries = Invuln-ish (body armor themed) Beast Mastery = Regen-ish / Bio-Armor Robotics = Energy Aura or FF type defense Obviously with only 3 powers to work with these defensive capabilities would leave the commander with a few holes (that could be fixed with IO's just like EVERY other AT). The commander wouldn't need to be entirely "tanky" because his pets would draw some aggro away from him, depending on they playstyle of the player. He would just need to have enough survivability to not get immediately demoted to floor inspector. EDIT: (You COULD get rid of the last pet (the big one) and replace it with a defensive power also, giving you 4 total, food for thought as well...) Then we would have to get into what the passive would be... Masterminds have Supremacy: A good Mastermind knows how to manage his Henchmen. The Mastermind imparts a bonus to his Henchmen's Accuracy and Damage only if he is nearby and has line of sight. Supremacy gives +25% Damage and +10% ToHit. It has a radius of 60'. So then a Commander could have, Tactician (or whatever you want to call it): A good Commander knows how to keep his soldiers ready for battle. The Commander imparts a bonus to his Soldier's Defense and Resistance only if he is nearby and has line of sight. Tactician gives +10% Defense (Melee, Ranged, and AoE) and +25% Resistance to all. It has a radius of 60'. That would help shore up the Commanders lack of ability to keep his/her pets alive a little better. I know it probably isn't a perfect solution, but I can see this being workable so long as the appropriate base index values (damage, secondary effects, etc) are set such that the AT wouldn't be OP.
  25. For Stalkers, Genetic Corruption is not getting the +res bonus it says it should get while in Defensive Adaptation.
