  1. Oh I agree, my comments are more "for those that want PvP to change...". I don't think it will ever change so long as the general consensus of the community is to leave it alone for <insert any reason at all here> and that INCLUDES the PvP community. Hence why it will remain in its state, and the small community of PvPers and those interested in PvP will continue to struggle to garner any real change. Because the only change can be made (from my perspective) to increase the PvP activity is one that makes PvP more accessible to the general player, not one that just furthers the divide or maintains the status quo with PvP being limited to an incredibly small subset of the games overall population. But, that wont happen. Because it seems the consensus is that the juice isn't worth the squeeze. EDIT: And I absolutely believe you. I play exclusively on Indom. It is my home. Indom 4 Life! REPRESENT! YEAHHHHHH Okay... I'll stop...
  2. Here is a suggestion I think we can all agree on: Let's end all suggestions. They cause too much drama with people flaming each other and causing general discord amongst the player base. Suggestions NEVER actually bring about any change. Not a single suggestion has ever done anything! They just sit here on these forums and soak up precious space like a bunch of lazy freeloaders in their Mom's basement! I think its high time these suggestions go get a job and actually start contributing to society! I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of suggestions that humanity as a whole will come to a screeching halt. Morals will become a thing of the past! Families will be ripped apart and these suggestions will laugh their way to the bathroom so they can use the mirror to eat the remaining popcorn stuck in their massive neckbeards! So, again, I suggest we end all suggestions. Kick them out of the nest and let them feel the full weight of the real world! Also... Happy April 1st everyone!
  3. Yep, as I said: Not worth the price of admission and most suggestions for change are shot down and ultimately get swept into the "I know its broken but just leave it be." crowd.

  7. Just because you are over the cap, doesn’t mean it’s waste. It increases your -res debuff resistance the higher your resist is and IIRC the number it uses to calc this is the actual number and not the capped number. Someone correct me if I am wrong. EDIT: Nevermind, I think I am wrong. I think it calculates off of your caped resistance but subtracts it from what you have over the cap, so it would take a very large -res debuff to take you below the S/L cap if you had say 100% resistance to S/L. So still not entirely wasted. Either way, Willpower doesn't need help.

  12. PvP in its current state isn’t worth the price of admission. It exist for a small subset of people that wish to keep it in their comfort zone. Not for the CoH player base as a whole. edit: typo
  13. Which would essentially trade one meta for a new meta. Not that I entirely agree this would be the meta. But PvP as it stands now is extremely blaster friendly.

  15. This. I used to PvP a lot, then i13 and I haven’t touched it much sense. PvP is now just broken. I know current PvPers disagree and they will band together and say that they want things to stay the same. But, I will never agree with them. PvP pre i13 > than PVP now.
  16. Dude, I was going to let this slide but this happens far too often on these forums. If YOU make a claim about “The Devs said XYZ” then YOU do your own research to show that. Otherwise you could just say anything you want and thus possibly spread misinformation. I am NOT saying that you are, you are probably right. But YOU need to prove that, not me. Regardless, the miscommunication has already been sorted out so it doesn’t really matter at this point. Have a nice day.
  17. I actually agree that you are engaged in PvP in the zone. I could have sworn someone somewhere said there was no PvE content in those zones, if that’s not true then disregard my statement and carry on.
  18. Whether or not this is true (source needed, thanks) doesn’t negate the fact that PvP zones can contain PvE content. Just because you want to also call it PvP doesn’t mean it isn’t also PvE. If I am fighting an arachnos in a PvP zone I can be simultaneously engaging in PvE and PvP. Therefor, PvE content does exist in a PvP zone. Just as @Wavicle said above (Thanks bud!). So can we please end this stupid semantics war? It’s kind of pointless…
  19. Stalkers > Scrappers in ST DPS Scrappers > Stalkers in AoE Survival for both is about equal. I see no issue with this dynamic in any way.

  21. Not saying I agree that you should be able to turn off PvP. You entered the zone you assume the risks, that includes griefers that just want to “LOL KB” you over and over with no intent to actually kill you and before anyone says anything about it yes that shit DOES happen. But, again, you CHOSE to enter and thus know the risks. However, with regards to all content in PvP zones is PvP content, I would like to point your attention to the enemies scattered about the zone. Those are by definition E, not P, unless the devs are playing hundreds of Arachnos in RV that is Player vs Environment stuff in a Player vs Player zone. Carry on. It’s okay to admit you can have both in one zone. You will live, I hope.
  22. This is fairly misleading but we have talked on this before. Most of a Corruptors theoretical damage is complete overkill / waste. For example: On average a Corruptor and a Defender kill a Leut (for example) in the same number of attacks. Even if that last attack the Corruptor landed was at 1.5 damage scale, it was entirely wasted and in no way helped them kill that target faster than the Defender. The only time that 1.5 damage comes in handy is against hard targets like AV's and GM's and only towards the very end of that fight. (That is if you don't factor in the effect the Defenders better -regen has on time to kill). Now the above example is for solo play, for team play it is slightly different. But, even then Defenders have far better build flexibility to make up for the 15ish% less damage mod and keep things close enough AND their superior buffs/debuffs can often help the team more than the Corruptors slight personal damage boost (but this is subjective and is often debated). But, alas, I don't want this to turn into a huge thread hijack about Corruptors vs Defenders. Just know that there are a lot of assumptions about Scourge and on paper they look good but in actual play they are only good in SOME situations. EDIT: This is also assuming you aren't playing a kin or chewing reds to keep you at damage cap.
  23. My main is /rad... please don't hurt him... please? 😞 I promise he will behave!! I have said this before, and agree. For the love of all that is holy, a-fucking-men! TESTIFY! Its over 4 seconds of cast time to place my /rad debuffs on a target + their few seconds of recharge when they de-toggle every single time I get hit with an errant hold/sleep/stun. It's insane. This makes Clarion pretty much essential instead of optional. Toggle suppression is a happy medium here, not power creep, not too much to ask. So yes, PLEASE: toggle suppression and no more ally only buffs. I agree with @Luminara that this may introduce a need to change the way some of these ally buffs work as too not push the pendulum to far, but it CAN and SHOULD be done. IMO. Edit for spelling...
