Do different build up procs stack? And..
SmalltalkJava replied to SmalltalkJava's topic in General Discussion
I was doing some testing with Gaussian, and Decimation build up procs. So far, unless I've had bad luck, I've only been able to get them to stack for like 1 second at a time. That actually makes me think that it may be a non-synchonized coding issue. Where it applies and then un-applies the prior effect. I see the Icon twice then almost immediately one of them goes away. Or alternatively it just could be UI registration lag. -
I know that if you set a calculation value to 48 it will show you what you need to get so that your “to hit” chance is always maxed at 95% if you are +1 level shifted. Does anyone one know what it should be set to show always 95% chance if you aren’t level shifted and still fight +4s?

Something you might experiment with is a whips/nature MM. Pro's: Group wide build up with Overgrowth 😀 + ~10% to hit (depending on slotting) +49.5% damage (unenhanceable/unbuffable) +74% group wide endurance discount (unenhanceable/unbuffable) Whips are short range, what works well in short range? Entangling Aura - pbaoe chance to hold slot it with a LockDown: Chance for +2 mag hold to turn it uber. Superior Entomb is nice to 5 slot in there also Wild Growth gives group with +Resists (all), yes that means Psionic, and Toxic also. If you chose to use the 1 pet that gives +res aura to you, then that will stack with this also. Group wide Health absorb in Wild Bastion - Good bye to alpha shot deaths. Your heal is a cone, so it always heals you. You get a +hot, +endo regen patch. - macro or /bind it so it casts right under your feet. 🙂 there is more that /nature offers but that is some of the goodness. Oh, you an put Panacea and other health procs in Lifegiving spores. Panacea proc effects everyone in the field affect. I'm pretty sure the others do also. But i like to 6 slot panacea in LifeGiving Spores Oh, if you go with Power Boost. It affects the +absorb and your heals, it affects Entangling Aura. It doesn't effect the +Res from Wild Growth, and some other things that are unbuffable/unenhanceable. Cons: You will need Hasten as some of these have long recharges. That is really about it for cons.

Cool keep us updated on how it works out.

Do decimation and Soulbound Allegiance, and Gaussian Build up procs stack with each other? I hear they just reset their own timer. But I’m not sure how they interact does Soulbound Allegiance one just affect the pets or does it affect the MM/pet owner?

yeah, you can do some crazy proc stuff with Beast attacks. DefenderMind, or even a ControlDefenderMind or MasterDefenderTroller. Need input on how to make this Beast/Nature build better.
SmalltalkJava replied to SmalltalkJava's topic in Mastermind
I hear you for sure! 😀 The Beast MM attacks take a lot of procs. I've taken the uber recharge about as far as it can go. What i need to do now is back off that a little bit and figure out how much recharge I actually will need to ensure that the +damage buff and + endurance discount is up when I need it. Then I can adjust slots/procs. Regarding Overgrowth, if I am understanding things correctly it is basically a 60 second Group wide version of Build Up with a endo discount tacked on. My initial basic approach was make sure buffs are up, and then the enemy will die in time. this last build does a pretty good job of that. But Yes it can get much better especially if i can find a way to start leveraging the MM's attacks with good procs. One of the things I need to find out is if the different build up procs just reset the counter or if they actually stack. I think the next phase of this is to start from scratch with the 3 MM attacks required! And build from there with /Nature. To tell the truth, like /Time, /Nature is very spoiling, it truly trivializes a lot of content for groups. Granted, I'm not speaking in regards to incarnates trials because I've never done them. You basically remove the fear of Alpha strikes with the health absorb and you bring group wide Build Up. I mean damn, how many sets can ensure that their T1 pets have over 1,000 HP at the start of every fight? I get so spoiled with /nature that I tend to fall into a very brute force and overly simple play style. I do the same thing solo or in groups but I group about 95% of the time. I went all the way to 50 without MM attacks at all besides Kick! Now I'm trying to go back and fit in attacks, so far they have been more of afterthoughts until I read your latest /time build. /Nature is so damn addictive once you get sufficient recharge. It got me to thinking about starting a Nature/Ice Defender that Sir Myshkin has so kindly helped me with. I'm also tossing the idea around of a Nature/Dark. Cast Lifegiving Spores on the mobs location Pop 3 buffs Jump into the fray behind the tank or just jump in first. At this point Entangling Aura starts to work it's magic If needed, cast Spore Cloud toggle on a Boss for extra mitigation and hit him with -res if needed Start shooting bosses that aren't held. Regarding your controller idea. I think you could have a lot of fun with that. It will require some fun theorycrafting for sure. The MM has a unique advantage vs other classes for slotting recharge. MM's Superior Mark of Supremacy is the only IO set that offers 10% recharge on 2 pieces. If separated out that gives a cheap for 30% enhance in just 6 slots. Kheldians, Defenders and Corruptors have the next cheapest 10% frankenslotting option with 3 pieces required. That's 9 slots for the same 30% For me getting a Nature build kitted out and then going into my first group with it, where everything was available pretty much on demand. It just opened my eyes. -

ah Damn it! I knew something was wrong with the recharge calculations. Call Hawk with the FF proc was clicked, that is why Overgrowth was recharging in 60.72 seconds. Without FF and Hasten Overgrowths rechage is 79.69s that is almost 20 seconds short of perma. Looks like Hasten is a must have. -

The shields will drop when you enter. iirc if your going to double box. I’d just make another aura brute and have it follow. Passive dps and if it’s a good build it will not need any action to monitor. -

Including Bosses is more efficient for making inf. I can’t remember why the ratio is for value. Bosses are with x number of minions and x number of LTs. -

Ok, I was just reviewing my latest revised build. I notice now, that in the build's current state, if i drop hasten then Overgrowth is just over perma by .72 seconds, and if I keep the Force feedback proc, then it should stay in perma status. If I drop hasten, then i can put 1 slot somewhere else and also add the 3rd MM personal attack. What do you think? In this next iteration, I dropped hasten, and picked up the third MM personal attack. I also moved a Damage/Endurance to Swam and Hawk, just for a bit more damage. I"m not sure what to actually do with the open 2 slots that i used for that. It also might be more beneficial to just keep the cone and 1 other attack, then i can pick up Assault for more damage for me and the pets, which should be more overall damage, I think. SmalltalkJava replied to SmalltalkJava's topic in Mastermind
Ok, I made some changes based on your feedback. I removed Swarm, and added the Cone instead, the aoe will be nice, but the lack of range is a little scary. 😞 I used the ranged attacks to handle the running bosses. I also swapped the preventive maint and panacea! So Thanks!!!! The side effect is that Overgrowth is now PERMA by 8 seconds!!!! So there is probably room to loosen up some slots for moving to the other attacks. And S/L is closer to cap now, my resists went up. I changed up my Entangling Aura slotting to beef up the cone attack. I'm not sure i like losing the +2 mag hold proc in it. Here is the updated build. I've pretty much reached my limit in build crafting. So any more input is always appreciated. Thanks for the info. I must have miscounted my set bonuses! -
Alternate standards can certainly be useful in measuring in game performance. Three are so many different variables that come into play even regarding measuring raw dps. An AT with -regen will have an advantage on regen AV's, just from having that one debuff. There are other things also, but alternate standards are useful in measuring performance. We just have to make sure that what we are measuring remains well defined.

Aren't they unique also? I also think there is a bug with one of the Mastermind ones. It allowed me to slot the same accuracy/damage one in different powers. but I can't remember which one.

I hope it is ok to ask for costume requests in this forum. I created a new Nature/Ice defender. I have colored the plant effects white (snow colored) with light/baby blue flowers. My mind has the character set to be a male Light or Dark elf magic user. Kind of like an old D&D character. However I can't come up with a good looking costume, I know I don't want wings, because the character can't fly. At first I was thinking something like Circle of Thorns, but I can't get a color scheme or flashy details that quite work. My costume mojo just has never worked in that fashion regarding elf magic user costumes. So if anyone can come up with a good character costume concept I would be truly grateful.

First of all I want to acknowledge @Sir Myshkinfor providing the baseline for this build. I based the core Ice part from his 'updated' Kin/Ice Proc build that is found on page 4 of the Proc Monster thread. Secondly, I have never played a Defender past level 20, so I am very inexperienced with the AT. My Nature experience comes from playing MasterMinds, so it may not apply directly. Goals of the build: The first goal was to start with his Ice proc monster build and then adapt it to Nature so that I could leverage the 3 nice Nature buffs, Overgrowth, Wild Bastion, and Wild Growth. The problem with this is that Overgrowth requires a ton of recharge to ensure that it has a functional recharge for the global +82% damage buff and 74% endurance reduction. So in my adaptation of his build was to put in as much recharge that I could without sacrificing the damage and utility that he built into the Ice portion of the build. I want to combine the +82% damage bonus with the extra damage from Procs that Sir Myshkin provided. The double whammy! The second goal was to take advantage of Entangling Aura's chance to hold to mitigate the "Scooby Doo, get the heck out of here" factor that mobs have when you cast the two rain attacks on them. Granted the build already had Web Cocoon to help with this. However, Entangling Aura adds an additional factor, it adds damage mitigation via holds. One more layer to defenses! The end results: Wild Growth's + Res is perma Wild Bastion's +51.36% HP absorb is available every 69.31 Seconds Overgrowth's 82.5% damage buff, +18.99% tohit, +74.5% global endurance reduction is available every 68.92 seconds and lasts for 60 seconds. Blizzard 46.16s recharge Ice Storm 16.26s recharge Bitter Ice Blast 4.01s recharge Freeze Ray 3.67s recharge Ice Bolt 1.47s recharge My Concerns: Will Web Cocoon still be needed even if I have Entangling Aura? My experience with MM's says that it could still be helpful. Bosses tend to run and not be reliably held with Entangling Aura, even with the +2 Mag chance proc slotted in it. But could the cocoon power be replaced with something more useful and it's slots moved somewhere else? In Scorpion Shield I sacrificed a small bit of 2.5% Ranged, 1.25% Energy, and 1.25% Neg Energy Defense in order to gain the +recharge from the LoTG. With the Lotg Overgrowth's recharge is 68.92 secs, with full six slot of Red Fortune it becomes 70.35 Seconds. That is just a 1.43 second difference for overgrowth, but, and this is a big BUT, this also impacts every other skill's recharge also!!! Is this worth it? I'm leaning towards yes. But I'll take all perspectives! Would it be worth it mathematically to move the slot Unbreakable Constraint Damage proc from Freeze Ray and move it to Entangling Aura by dropping the Accuracy/Recharge piece. Entangling Aura doesn't need accuracy or recharge. Right now I just have the acc/rec piece in there to complete the global recharge set bonus. Again my lack of Defender blast attack chains shows! Should I put an EndMod or Heal mod in Lifegiving Spores for Defenders? On MM I went with Heal mod, but MM didn't burn as much end. What kind of normal blast rotation would I be looking at? That due to my Defender inexperience that I've overlooked something basic or some aspect of non-MM pet play that I'm not aware of. How it plays out in my head: Entangling Aura and self toggles on! Depending on speed and my feel for the group dynamics. Cast Lifegiving Spores on the mobs location (it won't aggro them). Pop 3 buffs Jump into the fray behind the tank or by myself if soloing. At this point Entangling Aura starts to work it's magic Pop the 2 Rains, and Web Cocoon if needed If needed, cast Spore Cloud toggle on a Boss for extra mitigation. Rock out with my Proc's out! (start blasting) Now the prospective build... An interesting duo I think would be two Nature Defenders with high recharge. Stacking Overgrowth, Wild Bastion and Wild Growth. You could slightly offset their casts so they overlap to catch any down time from the other Defender, but most of the time they would be stacked. I just finished my /Nature Mastermind, I'm now in the process of researching builds for Nature defenders.

I did my first ever pylon attempt. I've never tried that on any toon. Killed it in 3 minutes 38 seconds. I buffed up and sent the pets in. I started the timer as i clicked "attack". I'll have to try again later, because i spent a good time after a knockdown without my leadership toggles on, I didn't realize that they had dropped. I have no incarnates and didn't use any inspirations. My endurance did get low at one point, so I had to lay off until Overgrowth was ready to pop again. -

I have no incarnates and didn't use any inspirations. -- edit-- i tried it again 3 times. The next times I ended up losing a wolf once or twice. However, on the next runs I could only get the kill time to 3:51, 4:16, 4:02. I think with wolves it depends on their buffing cycle and when it kicks in. Additionally, since my personal attacks are just proc'd, it depends on if I get lucky with the proc. ------------ | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1458;664;1328;HEX;| |78DA6594CB4F135118C5EFB45381D2D2F228AFB69452106869A1EAC29DF216A4860| |4455D9106A6300994A62D892C5DB8F0114DDCB8F3B972E3528D6ED5C47F41A35157| |BE50D76EEAD7398750339334BF3BDFE3DC73BFCE4CE6D294E7C9ECE5134AF34F6E6| |64BA5954CB654368A5B667ECD95C9AE9BABAA7AD5C92F72905959DAD9DADACEA726| |0C09B163B7363FB193CBA5CE64CB3B4563653C9733F3667957B917B7B737534B05C| |358F358CB05235B30F3EBBEFD9B35A358DA300B5EEB7EC65CDF284B36345D305753| |35DA99ECAAB1BF67A7F81A90DF7475A1559D565C6A59572AAD2BC745F2B3D3A23EE| |E004F828726C17731C5ABA254B7B262EF6394939876BC3A00A7BA2A3127F6D09D5D| |B208EBAABE1B7407C910E80983B3E2CB451D5714DA7D32CC3AE8687509C43CE435D| |9A301F5CE86A7F0D7F4827C06FA5F8273A2DD885A57E3059CD57F166CF9E2B0F66F| |F900B67D243F81EDE2C14B0FDE8066F5B4B781D7C5838FB3F4ED6176ED5FC1CE6FE| |477B0FB07F9139C174FCD3C6F33756F885E2BF55A7B51170A9151B0274CF6901170| |46F402D40B5CC1B99BC57B07F53AB8476F13E9261BC1A897F481A745AF8B33EB3A8| |F5945CF81B157D833F6867C0DF6BF055B65DF207B838FE1A5FF2E790F3C7C9F7C40| |3E041DD21BE639C209C416C44B84B1089F8D9B32AB3E9EAD6F0A7583D3E42972061| |C9E23FF82B7A47780CFE7007D0DD34F9C7EE2F4197F043AC5D7107A1C431D786647| |3AC9237C6FA426414F09CE7B84734E72CE49CE37C9798FF2FF782E1229F6A602FFE| |746A991A6469ABD696A4DC97CC6389FB134FC86F49A77B522978ADB2263B648DA16| |396A8B1CB345166C91CC41A4B2A8D77C21AC6C835FBE0FCCEEB925ABD5667F1F443| |46D5E1683F2055AC6497FD9AAFFD456DFC1D9EB6F83FF0008CDE3A5| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Need input on how to make this Beast/Nature build better.
SmalltalkJava replied to SmalltalkJava's topic in Mastermind
Ok... /Nature is all about selecting your plot of land and sowing the seeds of victory. It blossoms and turns everything glorious. But you need Recharge... lots and lots of recharge. Before I start talking about it specifically. There is something weird happening. I don't see a way to check how much +health absorb the pets are getting. It isn't in the log file from what I saw, and it isn't in the combat attributes window. However, and now for the funny part. I think that the pets get the same ABSORB health amount that you the MM gets, not % but pure HP value. When I cast the aborb, I get 452 health in absorb value from my 914.61 total HP. "+49.37%% absorption on target". Well... I see 452 over the pet's head also. Normally, the howler wolf has 574 hp, but when i cast the absorb, 452 goes above his head. That is good! however bad for the Dire Wolf, the same thing happens to him but he normally has more HP than me at 963.81 base HP. Now back on track... Ok, so I finished making the build in game, except for the HAMIO's in Regrowth. Right now I just have a set piece with Heal/Recharge/Endurance, and truthfully, that is OK so far. This build rocks in groups and is good for soloing missions. This build is good for killing clumped packs. At plain level 50 with no incarnates I was able to solo the +3x8 portal mission in PI. And it really wasn't that hard. I'd lose a minion pet occasionally soloing them, but that was mostly due to my lack of manual dexterity and hand eye coordination. You are basically a pocket controller, but only for a small parcel of land. Minions and LT's get locked down quickly, bosses take longer. It only gets hairy, when fighting groups with multiple ranged attacking bosses. The problem arises when they turn tail and run, at that point you have to actually make a decision on what to do. Your in melee range of a giant pack of enemies, and the boss that ran has returned and is now shooting you from range. Do you move away from the mobs that are held? If you do then the enemies will wake from the holds. That is what the pets are for, sic'm boys and girls! It gets fun. Endurance is not an issue! I guess a 74.50% endurance discount from Overgrowth enables that. I spammed Hawk, Swarm, and Kick and it was smooth. yes, I used KICK! I might as well do it, the enemies are just standing there waiting to be embarrassed. I'm not talking silky smooth rotation, but just damn fun and continuous. You will just have to remember that this isn't an uber DPS build. It is more of a 'they have lost and just haven't realized it yet' build. By the time they realize, it is way to late and their held... So what are they going to do about it? Well, they will do exactly what you want them to do. They will sit there and take it. I use this macro to cast spores under my feet right after I move into melee range. A second click will turn it off. /macro SPORE powexec_location me Lifegiving Spores I think that this build could be hot swapped to Ninjas and Demons really easily. It would work with other sets also, but you'd have to make sure all knockbacks are turned into knockdowns. Ninja's would bring true pet damage, I think that /Nature could easily keep Ninja's alive. Whereas Demons would bring extra +resists and close range damage. I might end up making a Ninja/Nature, if i could just think of a good theme. My Beast/Nature is named "Eco System" and comes complete with leaves, butterflies and a waterfall. Then again after using Kick, I might go with 3 pool attacks. You are in melee range for the holds. Might as well beat some face. Ok it's late. Time to sign off for a bit. The second build that I posted should give someone a good start on their own personal /nature build -
I figured it was pvp based
