  1. Thats because they were all confiscated for use by the big hero industrial complex. I do have “Skunk Man”. The Thugs / poison MM. His name isn’t really that punny though. But his bio has quotes from the television show that was made about him. I've thought about rerolling him as either /FF or /Sonic so he could put the musky scent of justice on teammates. But with /poison he can put the scent on his old friend Leon with Noxious Gas and make enemies puke. Let me know if you have suggestions on a better secondary.
  2. Reactive Defense. Scaling Resists IO. What does it actually do? I'm constantly looking for ways to tweak/maximize my Masterminds survivability. However I have no idea how this IO actually works. Can someone explain its mechanics to me?
  3. Yeah, it was me that was talking about the def io's in lions. For some reason, I was thinking the LoTG def/+ recharge speed IO, meant that the +def affected me and not the pets. That is why I put it in there. That probably isn't correct though, its probably just the +rech that affects the MM. I'm still learning. I've done some tweaking to this build and got the defenses a bit higher, I also removed the LotG in Lions and put in a 4th SCotMM. I was able to get 46.4% S/L, and 45.5 Energy def. But before I spend all the inf. I need to do some testing on the procs in the beasts. To tell the truth. I think that the coding for Beast pets is pretty messed up right now.   4. I'm slowly gaining knowledge about builds. I still have a long ways to go. Right now I tend to take other peoples builds and start to dig into them to see what makes them roll. That is why in other threads I've posted results showing what happens when the primary/secondary skills are removed, just to see what the pool selections are offering to the build. After reading Maxzero's Thugs/Storm Build and the Proc Monster thread from the Defender forum, specifically the Trick Arrow build that is posted there. I have made an initial attempt to merge the two into a Beast/TA build for any Ranger/Bow using MM's that exist out there. I know that it needs a lot of refining, I myself have not built it in game and I haven't tested the proc rates yet, so its all a thought experiment. I was going to say "theory" but I don't have the underlying math knowledge to qualify it as a "theory". So lets just call it a thought experiment. Summon Wolves, has the Shield Breaker proc and Lady Grey Negative damage proc because they have 2 attacks on short cool down that have -def effects. 6 sec and 8 sec. Summon Lions has no procs in it. I couldn't find any good procs to go with the abilities that they have. Nothing seemed very useful. So I put a Luck of the Gambler def bonus in there. Dire Wolf has Lady Grey proc in it. All 6 MM pet auras are present. I'm sure better minds than mind could refine this build even further. I was able to get S/L def to 40.3% and Energy to 39.5%. Even as it is. The defenses aren't that great. However, I was able to get procs spread around pretty well. This build is without any incarnates. So I have no idea how that would impact the build. I tend to build without incarnates because they take forever to achieve.   5. Damn. I was browsing your build in Mids and did a little experiment. If you deselect all the skills from the primary and secondary and just leave the Pools slotted as you have them... You get this, little nugget of defense awesomeness. Over soft cap def to S/L/E. And with 11 slots left open to choose from the primary and secondary. This is still with PowerBoost off. - Edit - I think that someone with more knowledge and experience than myself could probably take this and make a starter template for MM's that is +def capped.
  6. Thanks. I guess i had turned that off. I've enabled it and did 3 runs with bosses. I also use a mouse macro to fire abilities. I cleared the levels in 8 minutes 30 second, 8 minutes 36 seconds, and 8 minutes 32 seconds. Which gives me 1.207,800 Inf per minute, not counting any drops. The only incarnate i have so far is the musculature boost at level 1. I still don't have the build fully kitted out quite yet. I just have IO's in Quills, Throw Spines and Boxing. Again, this is from @SenkanYamato that he posted on another thread. - edit - I don't know enough about the game yet to say if/how this build can be improved or how it compares to the OP's build.   7. One thing about the Beasts primary. Don’t play them unless you mind constant howling. The wolves howl and howl and howl. Another thing about force fields. In repulsion bomb. I would look into slotting knock back to knockdown. And some other damage procs.
  8. Is there a way to get bosses to show up in #2915 as a solo person? I seem to get on ly minions and LTs. I’m running SenkanYamato’s more expensive build. As soon as I get my incarnates and get the rest of the pieces bought I’ll post its numbers.
  9. Yeah. I regularly group with a defender. And she doesn’t chase after the , run ahead person, if you over extend then your on your own.

  13. My signature has a link to a post where the true MM guru's posted the default Resistances and Defenses for each pet. I think that /FF will enhance all pets across the board. Even with the ones that are considered to be resistance based, it will cover their weakness. It will also enhance the strength of the Defense based pets. I haven't actually gone through and seen what proc/slot sets are available. My 3 /FF masterminds are still in thier 20's/30s. So far I haven't really noticed any big difference regarding the defense boost difference of the pet primaries. I just don't notice a few percent difference in a fight. - In short, If you like Bots/FF then you will almost guaranteed like the other sets and /FF, as long as you like those type of pets. +Def is +Def. Here is an unenhanced comparison between Bots and Beasts Defenses for /FF Bots/FF with one level 25 crafted IO slotted in Protector Bots, Dispersion Bubble, and Insulation Shield. Beats/FF with one level 25 crafted IO slotted in Dispersion Bubble, and Insulation Shield. Additionally, there is a bug for the Summon Lions. It takes +Def IO's but it doesn't actually affect the Lioness Roar. At least from what I could tell. Her roar was always the same amount even with +def IO's slotted.
  14. Just an FYI while doing some initial investigation on slotting special things into beast pets. I saw that Summon Wolves takes Running sets. So i slotted Celerity +stealth to see if the wovles would get all sneaky like ninja wolves or batman wolves. Well it just affects the MM, and just for 120 seconds. The stealth affect turns off after 120 seconds because summoning wolves is considered an "instant effect" power. So a little side quest of mine to turn Beasts beastly continues. - oh, by the way. the Pines Set selection for Summon wolves is friggen huge.
  15. I am trying to understand this. Without doing the unslotting technique, that would be a pain in the ass for me. For looking at proc rate and the overall benefit of where to slot it. I'm still trying to determine if i want it in the pets or on myself. I know it will greatly depend on the build and /secondary, but i'm trying to wrap my head around this concept. If Gaussians is slotted on the Enforcers then it actually works like there are two "casters" of Tactics, Enforcer 1 and Enforcer 2. So Two casts of it affecting 6 targets, just not the MM If Gaussians is slotted on the MM then it actually works like there is 1 caster of Tactics, but it at a minimum affects 7 targets (MM and 6 pets) + any teammates + their pets/henchmen. -- Afterthoughts, So.... Just brainstorming for MasterMind Mondays. 8 Masterminds each with 6 pets. Probably would have a good proc rate at that point for sure. -- Additional afterthoughts. Beasts primary. Wolves can be slotted with Gaussians. Granted its not an Aura, but a click power they do every minute. Both the Alpha and regular Wolves have this on Tame Beasts.... - Grants power Howl to Howler Wolf Activation Time: 3.67s Recharge Time: 1m 0s Power Type: Click Target Type:Self Effect Area: AoE -- 15.00 ft. radius (255 targets max) +24.75%% strength to all damage for 15.00s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable +7.50%% to hit for 15.00s **Jeesus. That activation time is horrible. Over 3.6 seconds activation on a 15 second buff. I guess that is their version of build up.
  16. What I'd like to see is taking some lessons from the defenders proc monster posts and seeing if something like that can be done for ae farming.
  17. Hmm... demon/time MM. I don’t think it has -regen but it has 3 -res attacks, I think the pets do some -res. And /Time could boost their defense.

  19. Yeah. And just an FYI. The mids pines team is working on adding the bots shield and demons resist to the effects window. I just got got this email from Crytilas today. “Thanks for the numbers @SmalltalkJavaI will double check weights for level 50 and add see if I can't squeeze it into the 6.2.0.3 release/update before it is pushed”

  21. Hmm. If that tactics Gaussian build up proc hits other players. I wonder if that proc would hit Mastermind pets and other pets also.
  22. Everyone, I had a horrible time creating a MM /kin build that was survivable. Darkir has provided a build for Demon/Kin from a conversation I was having in the defender forums. I wanted to post it here so future MasterMinds can find it. I've posted the build using what is the most recent version of mids/pines. The link to it can be found in my signature. If you download the most recent version of mids/pines. I suggest you keep the old installations intact. Due to backwards compatibility. Always keep old installs of Mids/Pines available!   23. Hey everyone. I see people mentioning things that are inaccurate in Pines/Mids. They do have a github for posting changes and errors. The link is in my signature. There is also a link to the most recent version of the Pines that is posted on the Tools section of these forums. I do recommend that you keep back up installs of your old Pines Versions. That way you don't lose the ability to use the old build import data hashes and mxd files. I have already submitted several change requests regarding the "effects" window myself.
  24. Love this discussion. I have basic question. Maybe I missed it if someone mentioned it above. A lot of testing and builds are moving towards slotting lots of procs. I’ve heard that rains don’t work very well with procs. Do they work well with them?
  25. I can’t remember but don’t some sets offer + accuracy for all skills? If so would that affect the pets? They would be slotted in other skills of course
