Possible expansion to Power Customization/Themes?
Player2 replied to JKPhage's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The Spring (Valentines) event arrows that cause a rising hearts effect on the target would make for an interesting alternative on mind control's confuse power (not to mention being a cool aura choice for player characters). -
I suspect all of the weird science from hydras in the water and vahzilok running rampant, as well as arcane forces unleashed by circle of thorns as well as Hellions and Skulls, contribute to the indestructible plant life in Perez Park... trees and grass and everything else that is as resistant to fire and other destructive forces as the concrete and steel of the city.

Powersets and/or Archetypes not in the game?
Player2 replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
Kind of like how with super strength you should be stronger than everyone else, but you have to use perma-rage to really balance out with other sets. -

Fixing Gravity Control's Lift and Propel Problem
Player2 replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I now want this very much. I want a Gravity Smash PBAoE attack with that jumping up in the air and coming down on a target with two fists animation with the sound effect suggestive of building momentum. Also a single target Gravity Punch... secondary effects for these attacks should be more than just knockdown, though. I'd like to see a brief (1 second) immobilize in midair akin to the way teleporters are stuck hovering for a moment before they are then slammed to the ground for a knockdown. KaBOOM! The tier 1 attack should be "Propel Lite" using small objects only and doing less damage but with much better animation time. And maybe have a targeted AoE effect similar to Foot Stomp... like I just want to screw up gravity for people where ever I point my finger, damn it. MOAR GRAVITY!! -
To compensate, I went back and gave everyone in this thread a like or two to boost you all. You deserve better than me winning the day because I'm a rampant altaholic who keeps posting pictures of his character designs.

I hadn't really noticed this leaderboard thing before, but maybe I should have. Apparently I'm somewhat popular. Overall, I'm not quite a close second to @Jimmy.

Time to enforce the name holding expiration rules
Player2 replied to Kazuuk's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If my mind is set on Shadow Reaper, "Ashen" is a lame alternative and I would simply give up on the idea. -
Time to enforce the name holding expiration rules
Player2 replied to Kazuuk's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
"Ashen Reaper" sucks. Done? Not even close. More like giving up on the concept and trying to find something else to spark my interest because something about the game frustrated me. Guess what: not everyone agrees with you on how easy is to just pick a different name and be done with it. If it works for you, great. But your solution isn't right for everyone. Nor would I expect any given solution for any other problem to sit perfectly fine with anyone else. People have a right to be dissatisfied with things. Deal with it. It's also a fair assumption that some people do sign up, create a bunch of characters, play for a little bit, get bored, and then move on... leaving a bunch of under-developed characters that may never be played again. And if they have been sitting around for a good long time, it's also fair to give people a second shot at those names. The proposed Homecoming name purge won't delete anyone's characters, nor does it guarantee any specific name will be lost just because it hasn't been logged in within the requisite time frame. Character names will be flagged as locked in and that flag will be removed after a certain amount of time based on character level. IF someone attempts to claim a name after the flag has been removed, then the name is lost (and I suspect a rename with an added digit will occur automatically, perhaps surprising some people if they do come back to play again eventually). However, if the flag is disabled and no one attempts to claim the name... it will still be there if/when that player returns... which could also be surprising if they expected to have lost it. It isn't that it's assumed that people are squatting on all the good names, but yeah, some people move on and have no intention of coming back. It's not about squatting as much as it is about not caring about what one takes out of the hands of others with one's departure. As I pointed out in my first response to this post, there may be some disappointment for some when names they want aren't magically freed up if / when the proposed purge process takes place, simply because people may not just be squatting on names but have actually played to some extent (earning them anywhere from 90 to 365 day extension on their possession of character names) or played all the way to 50, exempting them from a name purge. And as the original poster even said, there's no particular name that he's even looking to acquire. But enough people do complain about names being unavailable that at least implementing the purge process could then be pointed to when people complain, stating that although a name they want is still unavailable that means there is a reason for it. -

Ah, I misread that. I don't think they should be either. -
Remembered one of the things I hate about CoH... its RNG.
Player2 replied to Jeuraud's topic in General Discussion
That's true that even the best supers miss... although there's usually a reason for it other than "you miss because it would be boring if you could have any "no chance to miss" moments for the sake of being random. I mean, if you're at a safe distance and buffed with Aim + Build Up and hit a couple of accuracy inspirations for good measure and the target is not protected by any defense measures that would reduce your chances to hit... then missing because someone arbitrarily decided that everyone misses sometimes is just stupid. And if there are times where people insist that there MUST be a chance to miss no matter what, then there should also be times where auto hit is guaranteed... like say a stalker in hiding about to strike a held target from behind, who could not possibly be doing anything to defend. Sometimes random for the sake of random is just too random with no good reason, and if that's what people think is fun... well, I have some stocks for you. Send money and I won't give you any details but will invest it for you, and we'll see if the random aspect of life is fun then. -

Should? ...or shouldn't? Because I can agree with the latter. -
Fantastic.

Just be aware that doing so is no guarantee that what you want will be freed up. -
