How and Where to Hunt - Defeat Badge Guide

I scanned through the thread and didn't see anything on this, but if it was already posted and I missed it, sorry.  For the Legionnaire badge, the second mission of the Mortimer Kal SF is a quick and easy way to farm for Warrior Elite Bosses.  Set it to -1, x8 and be sure to have a toon that can handle 9ish Elites at a time.  When they're down, *don't* talk to Odysseus, log out to character select, log back in, rinse and repeat.  A bit tedious, but nowhere near as boring as scouring Siren's for them.

For Banisher, regular Dark Astoria, anywhere that has Banished Pantheon ELDERS, they spawn Spirit masks (which DO count towards the badge). If you have time to idle, take out the mob around the Elder, and let them repeatedly summon spirit masks. Only one will be out at a time (unless you find a mob with Two elders in it, and they can summon one each).

Instanced MSRs on Everlasting, 3:30pm Eastern on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Come to the RWZ and look for Barky McBarker for who to /T.

Hit, Heal, Buff, or Debuff. MSRs are not farms, there is no sitting.

That is a great way to farm the masks, and I'll add that there are a couple of missions from Ephram Sha (Ancient Souls and Thinning the Herd, run at -1x1) where this same tactic works well.

Hope this gets updated for PAGE 4

and the newer hunts ;D

The only Page 4 defeat badges are for the twin robots in the Advanced ITF (1-4 star) and for the 100 Ravenna Clan members which you get from running Sister Valeria's arc.

In addition to Dark Astoria and Echo Dark Astoria, you can also find BP mask at:

  • Sharkhead graveyard at night (Villains & Rogues)
  • Talos Island at night in front of the DA gate and around the buildings there and down the road towards the FF gate (Heroes & Vigilantes).

Talos Island was my old go to with regards to catching large numbers of multiple badges.  I would head southeast at night to get a good 10-12 BP masks then work around popping Warrior Elite and Tsoo Sorcerers, then get the DE to drop emanators (cairn, etc.) and by the time that cycle was back to the southeast, it was dark again and more masks had spawned.  I am not saying it trumps certain missions but if you are doing cyclic sweeping, Talos is some good badge hunting grounds.  Plus don't forget there are Freakshow so if for some reason you don't have Tank Buster you will catch some of those there.

For Toxic Tarantulas, fly around outside the center of Grandville and approach doors that look like this one

As for Malta, I found that re-running any mission from Indigo or Crimson works fine. I'm currently farming for sappers in Indigo's last mission from Ouro. I get about about 5 per run, which takes about 5 minutes per reset and run. I just quit back to the character select and log back in (soloing them). at x3 you find more sappers, but at x8 you get almost no sappers but lots of Hercules Class Titans. Adjust difficulty based on what you need more of. Regarding the Zeus Class Titans:  Try not to kill those if there are 2 Hercules Class Titans in a group as they combine into a Zeus Class titan when they panic. THOSE are what the badge is for. I believe the boss level that spawn on the map do not count. The badge description says "combined".

Regardless of what the badge says, the Malta Titans do not need to combine, a mob that spawns as a boss counts too.

Good to know. Thanks!

The Mythical badge - defeat 100 Minotaurs in Cimerora, and the Fabled badge - defeat 100 Cyclopes in Cimerora, can both be accomplished  simultaneously by hunting the sea side grass covered ledges along the northern border of Cimerora.  A good starting point is at the door to the second mission of the Imperious Task Force (Take out the shadow cysts).  This door is located at -210.1, 1129, 1793.7.  You do not need to be involved in the task force in order to find theses bosses.

There will generally be two Minotaurs or Cyclopses or one of each on these various ledges.  They are level 54 bosses, but are quicker to kill than the Elite Bosses within the cyst mission.  There are enough Bosses located on several ledges that you can run a circuit and they will re-spawn before you get back to your starting point.  This is not a super quick accomplishment, but is much quicker than farming the cyst mission for the 9 defeats available per run. (If you kill the 10th shadow cyst, you will have to re-start the task force to continue farming.)

As an added bonus, you will receive the Darkness Unleashed badge for killing mighty Cimerora beasts, before you complete the defeats required for these two badges.

A great mission to farm Banished Pantheon Spirits is Praetor Duncan's arc in DA, final mission Finale: The Only Way It Could End.  The map is a large Underground Praetoria map and almost every mob spawns 2 BP masks.  40-50 per run at -1 x 8 team setting.  A moderately well slotted +3 incarnate will be fighting at +3 against 50s and can clear fairly easily.  A team is a cake walk.

Edited:  If you fight the whole way to Diabolique (EB at -1 x 8 ) and reset before killing her, you can get nearly 100 masks per run, or the entire badge in 2 passes - less than an hour.  I got 50 badges the 4th run of 4 because I was hesitant to get too close to the final room.  But then I found that I was only clearing about 60% of the map.  Definite badge in 3 runs, possible badge in 2.

For Mu Guardians, I found a good way to solo if you are sturdy. Take the Scirocco Chapter 2 arc from flashbacks, and run through until you get to the 6th mission. It starts with Speak to Daos, then when you speak to him the objective changes to "Defeat Ice Mistral". Do that one, and it switches to "Stop Rituals to Draw Out Scirocco". Set your team size to 8 before you enter the portal. Ignore the mission objectives and look for those groups scattered all over the map as "extras / props". Most of those groups will have a boss. You can swoop in, kill the boss, and flee around the outside of the map to de-aggro any pursuers, then venture into another part of the map to get another Boss before fleeing around the map again. I was getting 14 per map. You can also find 1 next to each ritual. After you get your fill, just log off to the character select screen and re-enter. Rinse and Repeat. Happy Hunting.

For Villain Disruptor, the 25 signature hero/villains do not need to be unique.  It is possible to farm this in a Bank mission.  I did so with superspeed and stealth:

1) Go to the door of the bank, you'll get "the bank is being robbed" if you're on a safeguard, otherwise you're the robber

2) Stealth past the mob in the lobby and go directly downstairs (I was doing Peregrine Bank)

3) Attack the signature villain before they break the vault door.  They will agro to you.

4) Kill them

5) Ouroboros out and reset the mission.  Wait for Ouro cooldown to get to about 30s, then reenter and repeat.

Took less than an hour to get 25 count.

What I prefer for Villain Disruptor:

Second Arc from Praetor Marchand

Do first mission that clears four supervillains.

Next mission has six villains and a blinky.   Don't click the blinky and just exit, reset, and repeat four times if you started at zero.

If you're solo, they're just LTs and you can blitz thru them depending on build.

It appears that the requirement for:

"Mob Specialist – Defeat 200 Prisoner Bosses and Lieutenants"

has been changed to:

"Mob Specialist – Defeat 100 Prisoner Bosses" (and Lieutenants no longer count). I have confirmed the change by defeating prisoner lieutenants in Brickstown, resulting in no change in my progress bar.  Afterwards, I defeated three bosses, and those three counted on the progress bar.

The prison break event spawns 3 bosses per event. I have also found most of the following locations to reliably spawn a prisoner boss repeatedly if I sweep the map in a repeating path. (coordinates are listed in a counter clockwise path starting with the SW location.)

prisoner_bosses_bricks.jpg.3b0d4ef8d5cf010b12943b51f296a325.jpg

I ended up street sweeping to get my last 50-ish bosses, at a rate of 3 or 4 bosses per sweep. The spot in the middle of the East wall is the least reliable of those shown. The spot near the SouthEast corner is two locations above and below the ground level. All of the prisoner bosses have a bright or dark energy glow around their heads and/or hands, making them fairly easy to spot.

Hope that helps,

=:Psibug

There are 2 more in the NE corner of the map:

[-3262.0 -64.0 -1507.8]
[-3528.4 -64.0 -969.1]

The first is just NW of the marked badge 4 spawn point, under a bridge.   The other is due east of the badge 8 marker and due north of the zone marker in that corner of the map, also under a bridge.  Be sure to kill minions (conveniently named Henchman) to speed the respawns.  With the zone event reset at 5 minutes, it takes about an hour plus to get the badge - and with 4-5 minions per boss, you can get Warden at the same time.

Thanks for catching this here in this thread.  While I didn't create the map you are referencing, I did create new maps and posted them on another thread in the Badges section where someone else had inquired.  I have these two locations on the map too.  🙂  But this is great to cross-reference here.

All can see below for the updated maps.... Let me know if you find any more spawn points!

Yes, silly titles.  It's not like he's still a Provost or Praetor anymore.  Let go of the past!  😄

2nd Arc of his, "A New War"

https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Provost_Marchand_(Primal_Earth)

Well, he was never "Praetor."  😛

Primal version, he actually was elected "President of the Rogue Isles" back in 1937 and remained until he was killed in 1963 by an unknown assassin, which Lord Recluse then soon took over the Rogue Isles.  [Dramatic mysterious music "Dunt-dunt-dunnnnn...."]  (Can find this in Mender Tesseract's arc.)

After the Praetoria War and Praetorian Marchand comes to Primal.... He is still "Provost" and yeah, it's odd he retains that title despite Primal Earth not using it - but also no reason he can't retain it either.  🙂  It would be weird to call him "General" or some other rank since he technically holds no official office on Primal Earth, but I guess since he is in charge of leading / guiding all the Praetorians displaced by the war - keeping the title "Provost" primal-side is something familiar for all the new local Praetorians to follow as they get accustomed to living on Primal Earth.   🤷‍♂️

Exorcist – Defeat 100 points of Incarnate-level Circle of Thorns

Unlike the other enemy groups in Dark Astoria, these guys do not feature in any of the arcs – there may be a couple incidentally, but typically, you’ll have to hunt. Romero Heights in Dark Astoria is the best option. It shouldn’t take too long to get enough since you get the bonus points for lieutenants and bosses.

This is the old locations.  Raimi Arcade is the place to look for them now.

Thanks for the guide.  This helped me a lot in my badging!

This guide is great want to add to it with

Unveiler Badge:

Fake Nemesis - Best place to quickly get these is in Shard, Cascade Archipelago, specifically Tyrant's rock area.

I was able to get around 40 of them in 60-90 min of farming by myself
