Thank you! Fun as always trying to get good shots. And yes, that is my personal rating system 🙂 for people I know in real life, people I only know in game, and people to avoid in game. I won't tell you how many stars are designated for each category, though! 😂

For October 31st, the theme will be Trick or Treat costumes. You know, any of the costumes you get for Trickin' n Treatin'.

 

The TF? The ones that week are Pen Yin (too short), Faathim the Kind (way too long), and Ice Mistral (which we just did).

 

Hmmm.... How about something a little different.

 

Mender Silos TF. Level 46+. No badge, and only 14 merits, but some interesting foes to fight including the jaded Jade Spider.

I will join...saving my spot 🙂 Just not sure who with as of yet. I can't remember which ones of my toons already got the badges from the July (or was it June?) event, but I also know I have a bunch of new level 50's that I've used recently that do not have the badges. May be a repeat toon that I've used within the last month, but I know it's all good. How long do the costumes last again?

 

BTW, I was thinking maybe we could do a nature theme? Basically any power that would be in nature such as Storm, Water, Plant, etc.

A nature theme sounds pretty cool. Storm, water, plants, rock, beasts, savage... We can do this in November sometime. Thanks for the suggestion!

Mender Ramiel's arc in Ouroboros is essentially the "tutorial" for the Alpha slot.  It'll unlock the Alpha slot and IIRC it gives you enough mats to slot it.  The arc can be challenging to solo, though.

Same! I ran my first Hami with Sara and got an enhancement from that, which was cool. And now I'm working on the Mender Ramiel arc that Fraulein mentioned to try and get my alpha slot unlocked. I was a teenager back when I played and my parents didn't really like or understand MMO's, so I never played seriously (I think I spent like 3+ years getting to my first 50, lol), and even once I did finally hit 50, I never did much as I was more active on WoW at the time.

So far I have been soloing this with few issues until I got to the mission to defeat Holtz and the Honoree. I then proceeded to slam my head into the wall with this one and died over and over until it finally occurred to me to put some strategy in. 

 

I turned down my diff to -1/x1, died a couple of more times because where Holtz and Honoree are also have a million rikti and the portals. It finally occurred to me to try and pull each EB away from that giant clusterfuck. Demons on goto at the corner; run in and whack an EB with infrigidate, run around corner where demons are. I managed to get each EB by themself this way and my demons were able to mow them down. Sara has like 0 enhancements, lol, so I was excited to finally figure out how to complete that mission and figured maybe to share my strategy here since @Bananiac also said they're new to doing this.

 

Edit: So Sara is now not only 50, but alpha slot unlocked and moved from Everlasting to Indom. I will see if I can't purchase some enhancements for her, but she doesn't have a lot of inf for getting her sets going (and slotting still confuses the crap out of me), but she's ready to go for tomorrow. 😄

Congrats on Level 50 and on unlocking your Alpha slot! I too was very confused when I first started slotting them. There's a guide somewhere here on the forums that tells you more about each and how they're beneficial to your toon. 

 

I wish I would've seen this earlier in the week. I don't do that arc. Just playing at level 50 unlocks each of your slots, starting with the Alpha. I do the MSR raid every night in RWZ on Indom at 8 pm EST (they do two raids every night except for Mondays) and I unlocked Alpha in one or two raids. I had all of the slots unlocked after 4 raids, plus mats to fill each one of them. You also earn a crap ton of influence 3-4 million for basically 40 minutes of work. It's boring, but profitable, and the only reason I do it.

 

Another thing I do is to use one of my Level 50's to do Hami raids every day on Indom starting at 6:30 pm EST. You get 80 merits for the first round and can choose to get merits for each subsequent round, or 4 empyrean merits (1 time), or a Hami-O enhancement (1 time). If you get lucky with the Hami-O enhancement, you may get 11-25 million on the market for it. I then use the merits I save up to buy some of the high cost purple enhancements (at 100 merits each). That's how I kit out most of my level 50's. I also sell all the enhancements I receive while raiding and they seriously add up over time. I've gotten my Emp (Butterfly Dreamz) to over 400 million influence multiple times by doing this and then I "give" the influence to my alts.

Gratz on yet another 50, your Alpha unslot and welcome to Indom 😄 I also dont bother with the Mender arc, just continue playing. Usually I just start the Maria Jenkins arc to start working on the Portal Jockey accolade. Crank it up to +4/x8 and get a good team going. I'm also a regular on Hami raids with Pax Americana, he's my merit farmer. Between him and my fire farmer I'm never without enough influence or recipe drops.

Well, it's good to know that you don't have to do the Mender arc to unlock the alpha slot! 😅 I was too lazy to google how to do this stuff, so I went off what Fraulein said here. And I don't regret running the arc! It wasn't that hard and it was really interesting to read it and learn how the process works.

Well done!  This was exactly the mission I thought of when I said the arc is challenging to solo.

 

I died a few times when I soloed it, then I chain-confused Holtz until he beat down everything else in that room.

Hi FRiends! I plan on joining as usual. Sorry again to be out of the loop all week. I've worked 47 hours so far and have 3 more OT to do over the weekend. I did a little ToTing the other night and completed a Dr. Kane, but other than I am neglecting Halloween event! I have not created a patriotic costume yet on any of my 50s, nor have I even chosen a country! But I will be there! With someone/something! 😄
