Yeah, not a small number of people have diantane's main account's global(at least) on ignore due to their shenanigans over the years.  It is also likely why they're getting less invites/responses that they were ranting about too 😛

Opinions are going to differ. With more of the online tabletop simulators and such there is an increased detachment from face-to-face gaming and the migration of players, many whom have the 'OH SHINY!' syndrome, is pretty normal. But yeah...overall...it's not doom n gloom all is lost by any means.

That's the default now. "Man, I keep thinking I should leave this place. I'm feeling tapped out. Anyway, here's why CoH sucks." Players love to not take the breaks they keep telling themselves they need to take. I've taken a couple long term breaks from HC.

I just logged on Excel which you play on. We are talking 3:43pm on a Monday. I saw four messages in LFG in 20 seconds. Have you tried not having the most popular server having you on their ignore list?

They say they're leaving, they say other players are leaving, they say they know how to play every Archetype and they know how to do everything in game the right way (their way). And they won't even acknowledge other players could possibly want to do something else other what they want to do in game. The population is fine. It's healthy and resilient.

 

I think enough players just don't want to team with @Diantane at this point.

Actually I still play "Lord of the Rings Online" and that is 17 years old. They still make expansions for it (another just came out). Just no expansions on this game since 2004 (City of Villains) or in this emulator.

If you aren't willing to change your behavior, then you are wasting not only your time, but others. Also, you are going to make another account even when you are tapped out for making new characters? Some people really just don't know when to quit do they? Again, why are you here? If it's still fun, then you really should stop dumping on something you enjoy.

LotR was never to my knowledge killed off. That's why it continues to get added expansions. CoH also gets added content or have you just simply ignored all of the Issues and Pages added from the HC team? It truly is amazing how bad you are at making your point.

I was just joking about going to another account. I started looking for other games to play months ago. Like the game Satisfactory was released in September. I played the early access for over 5,000 hours (over 5 years). Usually play that during the mornings.

 

There will be a time when any thought of this game from me and any memory of you seeing me appear within this forum or game will disappear. I stirred up the forums and game when players made Asherons Call into an emulator after it was canceled. Discussions got so heated that I left never to return; years ago. That time is quickly approaching here.

I’m not entirely sure they have a point. They’re so deep into rant mode they are ranting just for the sake of ranting.

 

I mean, even if they’re right, what the heck is anyone supposed to do about it?

Does anything even NEED to be done about it so long as enough donations come in each month to keep it running?

 

 It’s literally just doomposting to try and make others feel as miserable as they do. The real bone of contention is likely that they can’t stand that we aren’t playing the way they think we should. How dare we have fun in unapproved (by them) ways.

Dark age of Camelot is almost 25 years old and that was a great MMO game. WoW finished it off but it is still going i believe.
