I figure ghosts are translucent so the main way to show that a character is a ghost is https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Concealment#Stealth. Their bio doesn't directly say that they are a ghost, but it can be read into it. Of course if you want to be truly, incorporeal then https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Concealment#Phase_Shift is a must have. Now I do have a couple of characters that use Aether costumes to that make them look like a ghost pirate by using the Tier 1 Costume power (https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Costume_Powers) Spectral Pirate. I guess the only other ghost costume that you can purchase with Prismatic Aether Salvage is the Tier 1 Tsoo Ancestral Spirit. I figure if you when spooky/ghostly powers go with dark or maybe (ectoplasmic) radiation. Both of these power sets an have their color changed to a more spooky/ghostly color to fit how you might like to have them. I mean it kind of depends on what kind of ghost they are. I could see a ghost pirate with marine powers. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Snarky Posted Friday at 10:01 AM Posted Friday at 10:01 AM Dark Cold Illusions Mental All seem good sets for that
Six-Six Posted Friday at 10:04 AM Posted Friday at 10:04 AM A low hanging fruit is the Illusion powerset for Trollers and Doms. I agree with Phase shift from concealment, but other than that, all the other powers become redundant with what Illusion Control offers. My Toons
Scarlet Shocker Posted Friday at 10:15 AM Posted Friday at 10:15 AM Teleport, Combat TP and Hover probably all suitable to get around, as in blink in and out. Gravity and/or Storm if you're a Poltergeist and throw shit about 1 All the best chemistry jokes argon
gameboy1234 Posted Friday at 10:17 AM Posted Friday at 10:17 AM Mine's Grav/Rad. Grav for the poltergeist throwing things at you, and I supposed I picked Rad because I could color it white. Seemed good to me at the time. 1
Yomo Kimyata Posted Friday at 01:49 PM Posted Friday at 01:49 PM Haunting. I am going to haunt the crap out of all of you. 1 Who run Bartertown?
COH Radgen Posted Friday at 02:21 PM Posted Friday at 02:21 PM If you wanted to go with something more directly damaging, you could go Banshee theme with sonic attack, either on a def or corruptor. You could go with sonic/radiation, very effective with debuffs. @Radgen On Torch and Excelsior
Xalon Posted Saturday at 12:24 AM Posted Saturday at 12:24 AM Let's see... Stealth/Invisibility - you can go translucent or solid with a toggle Spirit Strength - as a ghost, you are harder to hit, so you take less of all damage types Haunt - you terrify/scare the enemies around you so they go running Poltergeist - can work like the Kheldian power Photon Seekers (you summon 3 ghosts that attack and disappear) Possess - you can take control of any enemy nearby for 60secs Possess (ver. 2) - you can take control of 2-3 enemies for 30 secs (while still having control of your character, making the possessed like pets) Banshee Wail - aoe kb attack with a scream that sends enemies flying Add a mix of Ghost Widows powers, the Spirit Shark powers with ghosts appearing instead of shark/leviathon/coralax stuff, and what I have above. Or maybe have it like Kheldians, with tri form: Spirit/Ghost (main form), Banshee (ranged/support), and something else to tank. Would be cool. I always wished that Ghost Widow had a set that matched her abilities perfectly.
Archaeological_Hawk Posted Saturday at 12:40 AM Posted Saturday at 12:40 AM I would be Gentleman Ghost/Jim Craddock. 1
Jiro Ito Posted Saturday at 12:55 AM Posted Saturday at 12:55 AM i have an ill/dark controller ghost pirate Play my AE Adventures, listed under @Jiro Ito, including award winners: "The Headless Huntsman of Salamanca" #43870 **Scrapbot AE Contest Winner May 2022** "On the Claw-Tipped Wings of Betrayal" #43524 **November 2021 Dev's Choice** "The Defenders of Talos" #44578 **Mission Architect Competition Winner for October 2021: REBIRTH**
TheMoneyMaker Posted Saturday at 02:17 AM Posted Saturday at 02:17 AM Lots of possibilities. Why not a psionic melee/psionic armor stalker? Sneak around like a ghost, then strike at them with a mix of psychic energy and fist-like projections... poltergeist? Mass Levitate. Possession? Boggle those bastards. Have fun with it. biostem Posted Saturday at 03:44 AM Posted Saturday at 03:44 AM 20 hours ago, smnolimits41 said: the title says it all. It's a very broad topic. You could rationalize almost any AT as a ghost, though my first inclination would be something involving fear and/or cold - so maybe something like a dark blast/cold domination corruptor, possibly with the soul mastery PPP.
BazookaTwo Posted Saturday at 11:21 AM Posted Saturday at 11:21 AM I have a necro/dark MM named 'Head Cult" - I used the costumes and auras to make her look like a severed head floating in a black cloud. Banished Pantheons aura... Cloudy Movement Aura both as dark as possible. all black spectrum body... creepy talons head with long green hair.
