Not Domi pets but Warshade Inkys are stackable as well. In fact it's pretty common for my WS to have 2-3 of them out unless I run out of corpses. Necromancer spirits I think you can also have two out. Again you need a corpse (one of your own in this case) to spawn them. Spirits are Henchies rather than pets though. All 3 will hang around and avenge you if you die while they are out.

This is a really clever idea.

I've also fallen for Energy's charms and Six Six is exactly right about it blooming late 30s / level 40. My Fire/NRG hit 40 and has just clicked over the last few levels

Weekly Discussion 73: T9s Part 3 - Support
Carnifax replied to GM Miss's topic in General Discussion
Time, Nature, Kinetics & Dark are fine imo. Time and Nature give you hefty teamwide buffs. You need to work a little to get them "perma" but that's okay. Fulc Shift is great. Dark Servant isn't a DPS master but being able to dump a mini-dark defender into a spawn knowing there'll be lots of -ToHit, some -Dam and the occasional heal is a good thing. EMP / EMP Arrow (and all AOE Holds) need to be rejigged slightly, unifiying the recharges across all ATs & sets would make the most sense. Lightning Storm, I always thought their blast should chain but maybe that would be too much. -
I'd agree with this. Seems weird it doesn't work this way already and forces everyone to chase the perma-dom dragon instead. I mean my Illusion controller chases perma-PA and is a few seconds off but unless I'm fighting an AV there's little disruption to the fact I'm 1.5 seconds out. I just do without them for 1.5 seconds. On my Warshade when I was levelling the fact that Eclipse wasn't perma didn't unduly penalize me by adding another artifical "bar" which I needed to start refilling once it had expired. Domination seems to be the only power which punishes you for "Not quite being there yet".

Despite my earlier post I actually ended up with a Fire/NRG Domi as my new alt this week. Late 20s now and enjoying it immensely. Tried an Elec/Stone melee domi before but it just felt too control-lite and squishy. The stacked stuns & knockdown from Fire and NRG seem to gel much better for me and I love the Energy Store / Release mechansim the HC team brought in.

Rejigged version in light of the animation times in Mids being out of date. How good are Trick Shot and Explosive Shuriken?

What is this Parser and where do I get it?! -
I did an all-Support (Defender & Corruptor) Kahn TF before and it was the silliest thing ever. So many stats hitting the hardcaps.
-
My version is more proc-heavy, I like the combo of lots of -resist + lots of procs . No need for Scorp shield or the Fighting pool really. PBed Farsight gets me capped to everything and Clarion + PBed Farsight gets me to ~incarnate caps. Going Soul also gives me the opportunity for a perma Fort pet which is free DPS and happily softcapped (and also benefits from the -resist I throw around). Builds that can wipe the floors with Arachnos
Carnifax replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
Jumped onto my Staff / NRG to test +3x8 (level 54s but I have a level shift). Ranged Psi is the killer really here. Typed defenses offer little protection so a few Forts including a Fort boss in there somewhere can be painful. Mu are fine and Widows are handable even with the debuffs, but if the Forts stand back and psi blast things can get nasty quick. -
How good are Trick Shot and Explosive Shuriken?

Oooh. I knew none of this. Oh well. Plenty of time to rejig. Ill check the ingame stats -
Still struggling with Dominators slightly and decided to give a Fire/NRG a go with a shotgunning Power Push and the melee attacks. Feedback welcome. As per my usual weird rules: no Purples and no Winters.

How good are Trick Shot and Explosive Shuriken?
Carnifax replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Dominator
Weirdly I've just literally done a Fire/NRG build which skips Burst entirely. Mostly because NRG has Power Push now. Most Domi level 38 powers (except Blaze) are pretty unimpressive overall so being able to skip one in favour of earlier Sleet & Frozen Armour seems nice. Trick Shots DPA is terrible against 1 enemy. But as you say you can spam in in the middle of the bunch and the DPA just gets better and better as a fire-and-forget bouncing around. -
KB2KD in some of the attacks will help, mostly just to keep them in clobbering range. You don't need it in every attack. Also Living Shadows and Shadowy Binds both convert KB to KD as well (some immobs do, some don't). Even then a few odd KBs isn't the end of the world so long as you finish what you started.

Builds that can wipe the floors with Arachnos
Carnifax replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
😤 For shame. Spiders are amazing. All spiders in my house are sacrosanct (and also named Basil. Even the moms and their delightfully weird egg sacs) -
Probably just EMP Arrow. Its recharge is way lower than other AoE holds. But overperforming sets are on notice and Tac Arrow was one mentioned (conversely Trick Arrow is getting buffed)
-
Of my blasters I'd say my Water/Temporal/Ice. Capped s/l/nrg and ranged. A constantly replenishing Absorb shield. Self heal blast as part of my attack chain and Hoarfrost for +HP. Quite AoE focused, single target damage isn't amazing but will happily jump a +4x8 spawn with a 35 second uber-nuke.

How good are Trick Shot and Explosive Shuriken?
Carnifax replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Dominator
Im in the same boat with my Dark/Martial. In fact im in a much worse boat of my own making, because as-is I dont have any of the melee attacks. Trick Shot is reasonable okay with procs, the snipe is great, but all snipes are great and explosives animation time and being mostly single target make it unappealing but necessary to have some sort of attack chain. I actually like the two aoe melee attacks, they look cool, but couldn't fit everything in whilest getting permadom and some defense (~35% s/l I think). -
How good are Trick Shot and Explosive Shuriken?
Carnifax replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Dominator
Im not sold on Explosive. I think the AoE is spash damage rather than the full whack. Im not sure but it seems to work that way. -
My favourite combo is 4 expedients, overwhelming kb2kd and a forced feedback.
-
My Time / Sonic defender has the Fort pet, pretty much perma. Works well for him but the only reason I picked a Fort was simply that Power Boost is in the same set. But given the buffs I can give her (softcap, and some extra damage & -resists on whatever we're attacking) its a nice additional damage source I just throw out then don't worry about.
-
Ill wait to see what the changes are for Trick Arrow before deciding, but a remake of my Grav/TA is a possibility. Thinking about a StJ/NRG stalker too.

Why I think Corruptors are taking a back seat to Defenders
Carnifax replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
This. Judgements are bloody stupid things and should never have been added to the game as-is. Double the recharge and / or lower the damage. There's no way it should have gone live as it is. Lore is somewhat problematic too but at least they have a long cooldown.
