Like I said EA sucks End-wise til 28, then it's manageable as long as you treat the heal as both a heal and an End tool. Then 35 rolls around and you forget all about it.

Stamina looks way overslotted. NRG is weird that way. You struggle to 28 / 35, then suddenly you never worry about Endurance ever again. Word of warning, Sorcery in general isn't great. I've tried it on multiple controllers now. Arcane Bolt is slow and Enflame is frankly crap but concept trumps all. Rune of Protection is decent on squishies as a break free but since you've got mez protection not sure you need it (Carni has it because the travel power suits her and Spirit Ward is handy as a save, RoP is amazing for her, but she's an Illusion/Dark controller and needs the mez protection). One good additional option for "magic" might be Energy torrent. You have the Epic anyway and it's quick to cast and can take Overwhelming to become a knockdown and a Forced Feedback. Lower Level Inventions - Not So Useful Anymore?
Carnifax replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in General Discussion
I always build as I go / sets become available. I enjoy it more. So Kinetics Combats get slotted as I go etc. All bought as Attuned so they'll get better as I do. Gaps I patch with SOs, replacing them when I can. I try to avoid a level 50 respec. It means most builds start to click on the 30s when slots and bonuses become plentiful, and it spreads the costs and marketing out more. I may be underenhanced for bits of the game but not massively and you level so quickly early on you don't really notice. You do notice a Fire Tank with 24% defenses in your 20s though, for example. Especially if a teamie is a support also adding 15 or 20% -
Same on my DP/KIN. Don't really ever use the others. Nice concept but could do with a buff to differentiate them more and make Ice & Chem more appealing. Chance for Hold with Ice and -regen in chemical maybe?
-
Aw. I hadn't realized he'd passed. I remember that sketch being posted to the original forums. It's brilliant
-
I have a couple of dummy / unused chars on the origin server. So I do a transfer and then rename one of those to preserve the name, out of excess paranoia.
-
I guess a "kill my target" bind would help. Start laying down arrows in bg mode (maybe with one or two set to attack), then start ordering your team to execute people while you keep throwing out arrows. I'm actually kind of curious about a Thugs/Trick Arrow. Problem is MMs just aren't very end game friendly. As for defenders I guess it's an animation problem. What won't eat up my time so I can also get my arrows out. Fire and Ice would seem to be the best answers. Fire will light Oil Slicks but Ice also has nice quick animations and let's you layer controls, slow and -recharge.

My blapper is way more fun to play. Did a +4 PuG ITF yesterday which was stacked full of dps and it was ridiculously fun. If anyone died I had vengie and the p2w Rez anyway 😁

I've made about 350 million this week by just sending my TF merits to one character (convert them to Hero Merits at a rate of 1 to 50), buying and crafting level 31 yellow recipes and then using merit-bought converters to convert and sell them. Did it in 4 tranches of 20 minutes sessions. Do one session at the start of play them just switch and play something as they sell. I don't bother with Winters or Purples, so that's the bones of two full characters in 90 mins (still got about 30 millions worth selling) spread over a week. The even quicker and dirtier method is just merits -> converters and sell those. But it's nowhere near as profitable.
-
The answer to that is usually a combination of safety and it interferes with my cones. A lot of secondaries don't have great AoE so staying at range and focusing on AoE + cones can be a great option too. Which is great. I have one insane blapper and one floaty ranged death bringer and will pick whichever I'm in the mood for.

Nah, I stripped all the ATOs from my Fire/Claws tank and it gave me this. Weirdly I grabbed the code from Git and can't even find that error anywhere in there (I searched for "Sai", case sensitive, and nothing). I am admittedly terrible with Visual Studio mind.
-
Tried this version and had similiar issues to Importing the build file. It seems to hit the ATO and throw an exception, blocking the rest of the load on me. I might download the source later and see if I can figure this out, at least make "I don't understand this IO" less fatal.
-
Bad for me, Whirling was excellent. A bit too excellent sure but I'd have much preferred to keep my screenful of "NRG Release"s and just drop the bonus damage to 50-60%

Happy Thanksgiving to those who practice it! To the rest of us Happy Thursday! I am thankful we have CoH and the awesome CoH community back.

Yikes. Boost Range + Umbral Torrent. You'd be hitting enemies 2 maps over.

Ground Zero only recharges once every @35 seconds. You'll get more ooomph from it in Frost honestly because it'll be pinging all the time. When GZ & BU aren't available Frost > FA > Freezing Touch and it'll rain crits. Stick as many Damage Procs as you can in GZ instead once you've slotted for Acc & Dam. It especially likes Armageddon at 50 (my Brutes is 1 acc, 5 procs but Brutes are slightly different in that Fury is bolstering the base damage anyway).
-
The in-game stats should show Flash at around 15%. I checked it on my Grav/TA and verified with a power analyser. In Mids Bopper tweaked Flash Arrow yesterday I believe. That's a manual update though as there's some changes still to go.

Mids' Reborn Unofficial (MRBU)

Hi Bopper. Tried this a few times today. NRG Melee is there for scrappers but the Trick Arrow data seems to be the old version.- 293 replies

What's the most satisfying sound/feeling you've heard/felt in CoX?
Carnifax replied to Xenorgh's topic in General Discussion
Mutiple spawns at the same time is why my Tanks take taunt. Controlling aggro? Okay I guess. Grabbing more for the mosh pit? Hell yes. -

I do also love the bit in the third mission of the ITF. Past the bridge and up the hill. The swarm of romans who come running at you might be my favourite bit of the entire game (with the exception of the sound of Howling Twilight*). *Of course if I'm playing Carni then I can Howling Twilight the oncoming horde and be ultra-happy. -
Nope. Stalker or Scrapper. Cos you get a decent Tier 9, and if you miss the old one you can get that too. Ice Melee on a Stalker is excellent because poopy Greater Ice Sword turns into amazing Icy Death Move.

I levelled one earlier in the year and he was a lot of fun. Build is in my sig (and below). Ice/Ice/Lev scraptroller. As others say you really, really, really want Frozen Aura. Think of it as Footstomp for Scrappers. The sleep is pretty meaningless. Frost (triggering the crit IO) -> Frozen Aura -> Freezing Touch is an amazing combo. Frozen Fists and Greater Ice Sword are pretty poop. I ignored Frozen Fists and took Cross Punch when I got there. Cross Punch won't crit but it is quicker than GIS, does slightly more damage and is a wee cone. Also it'll buff you slightly. I did respec at 30ish to do it, taking Air Sup and GIS 1-30 and then respeccing to my actual build at 30. I also IOd as I went. So from 30-50 I was pretty tough, especially once I'd "settled" in a fight and got Ice Patch out. At 50 Ice Patch isn't really needed but I kept it for "uh-oh" moments. If you corner pull / retreat and drop it you'll mitigate a lot of damage. It only needs one slot ever, which is amazing.
