I've got both versions. It generates a corruption in both. I've noticed the newer versions are more prone to spitting gobbeldygook.

Likely because code isn't as clean and finished. There's also probably a bunch of error checking and logging going on as well. -

I prefer CoH's combat and customizability to CO's. The main problem is, because of so much shared codebase, the two games feel really similar. That's what REALLY aggravated me in CO. If felt, simultaneously REALLY familiar, and REALLY alien at the same time. I was in the friends and family Alpha, and was submitting feedback, suggestions, etc. Pretty much all of which got ignored. And, eventually they banned me. Supposedly for "leaking". CROCK OF **POOP!** -

I' stopped collecting...I dunno. It's been so long I've forgotten. Got sick of Crisis Of Infinite Craptacular Reboots. I think the last thing I read was Wonder Woman as she killed Ares and became the God of War. Truthfully, I'd tuned out several years prior and was just going through the motions. I dropped Marvel/DC like a white-hot rock, and there was nothing truly interesting in 3rd party. Before I moved out of my efficiency (2015??) I gave away my entire comics collection. And, since then, there has been NOTHING that could even lure me into a comic shop. And now, with the *BLEEP!*ery with DC, Marvel and Diamond Publishing, it looks like a VAST number of comic shops are going to be put out of business.

Here's a slight cleanup of my "Mo Durable" build. I finally moved away from Spring Attack. It's a decent-enough attack. But the recharge interval on the power is absolutely ridiculous and makes the power pick something of a waste. It's not a high-Rech (like my standard "Framework" build), but is basically build to crank Defense and Resist about as high as they can go.

Additionally, there these little things called INSPIRATIONS that can be used to get you over a hump, like a crash. For most standard content, still not needed. For INCARNATE content, like the Incarnate BP missions in DA...

Additionally, the problem with building towering Defense is that you have NO DDR. So all that Defense is completely sacrificial. It's like building a Fire/Elec/Rad Tank with tons of Defense and ignoring Resist. Sure, you CAN. But when that Defense "goes away" (and it WILL), you'll left with your butt flapping in the breeze and inferior Resists.

If you're soloing, just make sure you don't charge into a huge group with Rage in the process of crashing.

Honestly? If you have Phalanx Fighting saturated, the Defense crash will do next to nothing to you.

With a PB, modest Defense and maxed Resists should give you the Tanky heft you want, without sacrificing Recharge or damage output.

First, general ability to mitigate damage. As in "just stand there and take it". Defense (damage prevention) and Resistance (damage reduction) are mitigation. For Tanks, there is "I shall gently sand your HP out of existence!" and "I won? It's five hours later and I now need to see a physical therapist for the RSI damage I've done to my hand!"
