  1. Street Justice is good ST dmg, get some additional AoE from Pools/Epics and you have a solid primaty. Psi melee is great, one of the less resisted dmg types in game. Main complain about it is that, the enemies who resist psi dmg, albeit few, are highly resistant to it so you can also resource to secondary powerset, pools and epics to get different dmg types. Staff is also solid but the animations are somewhat of an acquired taste, especially the "breakdance/electric boogaloo" one. Psi/Fire or Psi/DA are the ones I'd recommend. I also have a StJ/Nin for concept reasons but on this combo, both sets would be new for you on scrappers since Ninjitsu was never on live.
  2. I have a DM/Bio and the dmg output is scary, I highly recommend DM/Bio.
  3. Dark Armor is probably the powerset that benefits most of invention sets. Here's the build I was planning whn I wanted to re-roll my DM/DA Scrapper. Finally decided to go Tanker but here's the build anyway. Not sure how expensive it will be since I get most of my enhancements through Converters. Dark Blast is there to fill the ST attack chain, Night Fall is meant to give a bit of AoE and Tenebrous Tentacles is an AoE debuffer. End usage is well under control, decent resistances, S/L softcapped and over 1800 HP.   4. Hamidon enhancements in Swift and Hurdle are a waste since those do not cost end, regular IO's should do. Some powers seem a tad overslotted and I would have aimed to softcap all three positionals and not just melee. Also, I think it's a mistake not taking the self heal. Street Justice lacks AoE so I'd probably go for some AoE powers in Pool and Epics to make up for it since Shadow Meld's utility is limited since it can't be made perma, especially on a def based set.
  5. If I had to do a Spines/Fire Brute able to do regular content, this is how I would do it. With pretty much same dmg res and S/L def numbers, I am bale to farm +4/x8 Comic Con, both the Fire and the S/L on my Psi/Fire and MA/Fire, although they have more active mitigation than Spines. Not too happy with the rchg but can't have it all I guess.   6. For farming I'd do something like this. Suitable for any TF and any regular content. For Incarnate softcap, just resource to Barrier Destiny and Melee Hybrid or just purple insps. Plenty of AoE dmg plus Dark Blast and Moonbeam should sort out any ST dmg issues although I don't have the slightest clue whether you could solo AV's with this build or not since it's not something I've ever been interested in, sorry.   8. Well, no offensive melee set has absolutely everything, otherwise this game would be boring. Sets that excel at AoE lack a Self Heal so there's always something that can be improved but in this case, Dark Melee is awesome set, and yes, it lacks AoE but it is a great toolbox set and Tankers can benefit much from it. You can add all the AoE you need via Primary (Fiery Aura, Shield...), via Pool Powers (Spring Attack, Sweeping Cross) and via Epic Pools (Fire Ball, Ball Lightning, Energy Torrent, Dark Obliteration...) and all that on top of your Judgement Slot so, yes, it's great set and extremely viable for pretty all melee chars. In this particular case, DA brings a bit of AoE dmg via Death Shroud, one of the best if not the best self heal in game and -To Hit from Cloak of Fear plus Def from Cloak of Darkness that have a great synergy with the -To Hit from DM attacks, it is a matter of adding whatever you think the build lacks from other sources.
  9. FYI, Combat Jumping is never a mistake, unless you don't take it, then it is.
  10. Defenses look good but Focused Accuracy and Assault kinda break your build end wise, especially being two totally unnecessary powers. I'r personally get Shatter instead of FA and any def mule such as Hover for a lotg. Whenever possible, I tend to allocate LotG 7.5% rchg in base slot mules and use toggles for other def sets. Also, not sure about Spring attack on your build tbh.

What I see is, you did not take one of the best heals in game and took an useless pool instead, endurance consumption with all toggles on 2.22 end/sec which is totally unplayable once you start using attacks which, by the way, are grossly underslotted while other power are totally overslotted and also left out a great dmg mitigation toggle. Also, having 3 defense toggles on just to get your positional defenses between 18% and 30% seems really bad. There's no chance you are going to be able to use Aid Self with said defenses.

  15. I've personally found that two KB IO's are enough for pretty much everything in the game except maybe a couple things such as combined Fame Nemesis. If you got the space to allocate three though, can't hurt but I am planning my DA tank with just two and see how it goes.

  22. I am using both Psi/Fire and MA/Fire, might not be as effective as other combos but I find them fun to play plus I also have them ready for regular content, heck, I even tanked LR in STF with MA/Fire.

Just installed version 2.6.0.1 and found the following issues: Under configuration settings, the "Updates and Paths" section ALWAYS reverts to defaults, no matter how many times I tick the "check for updates on startup", set the new folder path and untick the "Load last file at startup", next time I open it, it's reverted to default. I also noticed something about "Spiritual" and "Agility" Alpha powers. WHatever their rchg buff is, it never appears on totals although the recharge is applied directly to powers, except Phantom Army. Got a troller with 63.94 secs recharge on Phantom Army before Spiritual but said recharge is exactly same with Spiritual and Agility, all other powers recharge is reduced except this one. If I put "Ageless", the recharge of PA is reduced to 53.87 seconds and the Total Rchg Bonus goes from 172.5% to 242.5% but that does not change either with either Spiritual or Agility.

  25. There are several types of enhancements sold by vendors. At lvl 40, you should buy your enhancements from the store in either Brickstown or Founder's Falls, there's a specific store for your origin and those are called SO's, you can equip them 3 lvls before the enhancement lvl and they will lose effect gradually during 5 lvls until their effect is zero once you have overlevelled them by 2. Another option are Invention enhancements (IO's) which you can craft yourself (with Salvage that drops while you kill enemies and recipes that also drop or you can purchase at any invention table )or in the the AH under "Invention: Stat" (For example "Invention: Accuracy". These have the advantage that their stats do not decrease by lvl so they offer always same % and the usual rule of thumb is that lvl 35 IO's are roughly equivalent to lvl 50 SO's. At lvl 40, you should have a decent quantity of salvage so my advice would be to equip lvl 40 IO's either crafted by yourself or purchased in the AH and forget to replace them again, those would be solid even at 50, once you get to know more of the game and more of your char, then you can dabble into "Set IO's" which are basically IO's with certain associated global bonuses, but as I said, I'd forget about those until you know better the game and especially your char.
