  1. There are, IMO, two core ways to play savage melee - one where you work to maintain your stacks of blood frenzy, so as to maximize the recharge and end cost bonuses, and one where you spend those stacks for the extra damage of rending flurry and hemorrhage. What I tend to do, as I usually want tough and weave, is to take boxing as a filler attack, use it so I drop to 4 stacks of blood frenzy, thereby not consuming them if I use the 2 powers I mentioned before, then go back to 5 stacks w/ the other powers, and repeat as needed. As to which side to start in, it really shouldn't matter...
  2. I wouldn't say it's a matter of 1023 characters being too much to read, rather if I am that interested in someone else's character's backstory, I'd be fully willing to go to an external resource, where it would be easier to read, with better formatting and a cleaner presentation. Sell me on the character with a short, poignant description, which is accessible to far more people, and include a "read more" link or such for those that want a full biography...
  3. Go savage melee - while the end cost reduction may not help that much, the extra recharge will make recon, dull pain, IH, and MoG available more often. It's also a solid set, IMHO.
  4. It may be more a matter of limited storage space and being unable to access the AH or a vendor while in an instanced mission, vs any difficulty in selling the pieces...
  5. It depends so much on a multitude of factors - do I want to knock out a few missions, but don't have a lot of time? Drop the difficulty and team size. Do I really want to challenge myself and test my build? Up them. Am I feeling like taking on hordes of enemies but don't want the fight to drag on forever? Up the team size, but lower the level. I also have several "concept characters" where their power choices are far from optimal, and in those cases, I will lower the difficulty accordingly...
  6. There is a male t-shirt, but it has a slightly different collar. Is it because the design of that piece doesn't lend itself to blending into a mask, since it's more cut-out? I'm just trying to understand why it's not acceptable to the OP. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for proliferating the pieces, I'm just trying to understand what about the existing ones doesn't accomplish what is being asked for...
  7. So is it that it's basically just "painted on" that's the issue? Are you looking for a piece that has more material definition, seam lines, etc, like the Cybertech top, (4th one down)?
  8. This makes me wonder - we obviously see superpowered individuals in the Rogue Isles, so besides the Rikti Attack and the subsequent construction of the war walls, there must be people with super powers all over the world in CoH, only Paragon City is kind of the nexus of it all...
  9. I got no beef with fixing the issues with the text editor, but my point still stands.
  10. You have to think of the in-game bio like the back of a trading card, rather than a graphic novel. Heck, it's even under the "ID" section. It's a character description, not a full-on biography. Link to a site where interested parties can read the full work-up in their leisure...
  11. Can you please elaborate upon what you mean, here? Are you looking for something that more resembles the "tank top", only with sleeves? Below are some examples, so maybe you could use them as a reference. The image names are the same as the part's in the costume creator...
  12. I think the larger question would be what would this mode offer in comparison to playing without it, and would that difference warrant making a new build just for that purpose. If it's just a challenge to see if you can do it or not, then let it stand as-is. If there are extra or special rewards involved, then a further examination as to what is or is not allowed would have to be carried out...
  13. Here's the great thing about this being an OPTION - if you don't want to explain the change, don't use it. If you do want to explain it, you can put a blurb in your bio about it, or even run to the appropriate origin store and "buy" the necessary components to account for the repair, (or just RP it however you see fit).
  14. I was able to get in this time. TY for all you do, CoH:HC devs & staff!
  15. Do you have a screenshot of what you're talking about, because that backpack is the only piece I'm aware of that has that option. Is it possible you saw someone with one of the Prismatic Aether Costumes on, such as the Arachnoid? For reference:
  16. I would love to have various triggers for costume changes - >75% health, 74%-50%, 49%-25%, <25%, while not in combat but a travel power is active, while in combat, and so on...
  17. I haven't noticed that.

    Dark Melee/?

The -tohit would certainly help regen with survivability. I think there are better armor sets to pair with it, but if you are set on regen, then by all means play what makes you happy!

    Dark Melee/?

Is there anything in particular you are looking to get out of this character? Any themes or concepts you are looking to realize? My first instinct is to say pair it with a defense-heavy set, since the -tohit would aid that, and it having a heal would pair nicely with an armor set that lacks one. That being said, you could go the other route and go with something like radiation armor, where you'll have plenty of endurance and healing to work with, and can instead leverage the extra AoEs and +dmg +tohit to maximize your DPS...

  21. I doubt everyone would do this, and even if they did, the seeded common salvage cap isn't that high. Or they could use the AE option to buy common salvage - it's random, but it only costs 8 tickets a go, and you can even select the level range you want. I think it's more that they seeded the salvage to avoid player exploitation. Not necessarily - see the above option to buy common salvage from the AE vendor.
  22. I would differentiate a "proc" from a "set bonus" as the former providing its effect only once in a while, whereas the latter provides its effect consistently. So panacea provides the hp and end once in a while, whereas LotG provides the recharge bonus at all times. The only exception would be the "for 120 seconds" IOs, like the stealth ones, since they provide a consistent effect if slotted in an auto or toggle power, (while it is toggled on), or for 2 mins in a click power...
  23. Would this include individual IOs that provide a bonus apart from set bonuses, like panacea chance for +hp/+end?
  24. I'd also love to be able to set power colors/options, even before taking a pool or Incarnate ability - possibly have the "apply color options to all powersets" also affect new/future picks...
  25. I want to be able to set costumes to change based upon whether you are in combat or out of combat, or whether a travel power is active or not.
