  1. And check your voltage, or it'll fry!
  2. As a side note - if you use the -usetexenvcombine option when launching the game, (outlined here), you can greatly expand the number of computers the game will run smoothly on, (at the cost of lower graphics quality). Still, I bought and refurbished a used 12.5" i5 laptop that I take with me when I travel, and it can run CoH quite well, and it has integrated graphics. Something like this is also a great option, and offers a great balance of cost and performance, while still having a "dedicated" graphics option, (it's really more of a specialized GPU + CPU setup, but works the same). As a reference, this is basically like the 12" i5 laptop I mentioned...
  3. Fantastic design! Makes me wish we could get a variant of the Valkyrie belt with just the center plate and discs, (ie without the hip plates).
  4. Sometimes you're a shining beacon of hope to millions, other times you're "Down 'n Out":
  5. Maybe it's a weird play on how you're supposed to cool electronics, like their stuff benefits from it or something?
  6. I think this is a fairly simple suggestion - I can sometimes spend large swathes of time with the character creator/costume editor running in the background, while I'm working on other things around the house. Instead of having to completely turn off the sound to the game or turn my computer's volume down/off, would it be possible to get some sort of music on/off toggle for said character creator/costume editor? Thank you for reading!
  7. I meant as an option - like 1 variant where the straps take the color you set, and another where they are a static black or white, (you'd still be able to set the actual stocking part to whatever color you wanted).
  8. What they could do, though, is to set the straps to a permanent, non-alterable color...
  9. I figured it out! It wasn't shadows at all! It was Ambient Occlusion. If the "Blur" setting is set to "No Blur", you get the stippling. If you set it to anything else, you get the proper darkening of edges. Thanks again!
  10. Yessir! My thoughts as well. I'll have to tinker with it some more. Reminds me a bit of old Archie Comics... Thanks!
  11. I prefer the Newton quote from Short Circuit "I originally designed them to be a marital aid..."
  12. Being a creative writer, I'm sure you can come up with something better than "Renegade Sex Droid"...
  13. So I had some issues with my desktop so had to replace some parts. After doing so, and logging back into CoH, I've noticed this weird "stippling" or dotted effect in what I presume are supposed to be shadowed/shaded areas of the character. Can anyone advise me what setting I need to change to correct this? Thank you so much! Image for reference:
  14. Tried on another computer and it's appearing fine. Maybe it was that other computer/browser. Odd indeed! o.O
  15. Link appears broken for me...
  16. I do not recall alkaloid ever being an attack. Is it possible you are confusing it with one of the debuff powers, possibly being procced to deal damage via an IO or something?
  17. Here are my submissions, (I didn't see anything against multiple submissions, but if I missed it, I think the 1st one is my strongest contender): hc concept1.costume hc concept2.costume hc concept3.costume hc concept4.costume
  18. Magic axe + alchemical vapor that allows one to wield it = The Imbued Enforcer, (casual, armored, and original looks):
  19. Perhaps I missed this somewhere, but it seems whenever I click "Manage" on the enhancement window, or type /manage into the chat box, I am presented with a full screen enhancement management screen, meaning that I cannot see or interact with what else is going on in the game world. What I'd like to see is a windowed version of this screen, so we can remain more aware of what's going on around us. If this already exists, I'd greatly appreciate someone telling me how to access it. Cheers!
  20. Amazing design! Probably one of the only costumes I've seen that make that chest piece look good.
  21. Great play on words, and the little bits of pink are a great accent to the white & gold!
  22. I'm not a fan of this - the OT never portrayed the Hutts as particularly clever or strategic. I'd rather we just have an all-out war, with the Hutts' leverage simply being huge masses of enforcers.
  23. I'm thinking on par with what the leaping pool provides.
  24. Partly inspired by The Phantom and Taskmaster, I present to you, "The Vile Shard": vile shard2.costume
  25. So the idea behind this power pool is to provide a general set of tools to aid your hero in surviving the various fights they find themselves in. I also wanted to provide an alternative to those taking the Leaping Pool just for Acrobatics... 1. Stable Footing - Toggle: Self +Res(Knockback, Repel) 2. Sidearm - Ranged, Minor Dmg(Lethal), Foe -Def 3. Tackle - Self Teleport, Single Target knockdown & Smashing damage 4. Battle Hardened - Toggle: Self +Res(Sleep, Disorient) 5. Combat Stimulant - Self +Recovery, +Heal Over Time, +Recharge
