Great costume, but regarding psychic blast - you have far more patience than I. Between the sound and goofy alternate animations, (not a fan of the original ones either), I just cannot get into the set. Regardless, kudos to you!

I think we could come up with some sort of "slasher" or "swordsman" manipulation set for blasters that uses broadsword attacks...

Not saying it's a perfect alternative, but if you get creative with the other full mask options, you can pull off something very close.

Not out in the open city streets, but perhaps in certain zones/instances/areas, (purely voluntary, and with plenty of warning).

No doubt - we absolutely have the benefit of hindsight at this point. I still wonder what the game would have been like if heroes & villains had always traveled the same streets, only 1 would enter a warehouse to rob it, and the other to thwart said crime...

In a sense, I agree - the implementation of CoV did divide the playerbase. A better implementation, IMO, would have been to keep things on one side, but have the villains operate "underground" within Paragon City, with you being able to eventually opt to become a full-fledged villain and leave the city altogether, (much like the vigitlante/rogue implementation).

Still a work in progress. What I can tell you is she's a redside bio/kin tank.

I would love to see some conditional-use triggers added for costume slots - things like "in combat", "when travel power is active", "when a certain power is used", etc...

Nope. Read your entire post. For someone who claims "This issue is not ruining the game, or even my enjoyment of the game.", you sure seem to be very defensive about the very suggestion you put forth earlier. Here's a free piece of advise - if you aren't in favor of something, either don't mention it as a way of achieving some end, or actually state that you aren't in favor of it and/or frame your statement as something you would never actually want to see implemented.

People get heated. Some people can't or won't temper their expectations. The use of a generic "they" is just shorthand for "the game developers", or similar groups of people responsible for the game in question. I don't think it's a matter of dehumanizing things inasmuch as it is simple shorthand and general ease of use.

I did. You put forth a suggestion of limiting XP gain rate, as a way of reducing PL-ing. That is, by definition, dictating a particular playstyle...

You posting on a forum, by definition, opens it up for discussion; You may not want to participate in the conversation further, but there it is. Regardless, trying to dictate how others play has always worked well in the past...

All the fighting attacks do indeed benefit from containment, (the damage is listed as "special" since they get a bonus from having the other attacks from the set):

As much as some people may deride gamers, they do take their pastimes seriously; Emotions run hot, and some people do not know how to temper that and express themselves in a creative way. All you can do is be a calm, informed player/member, and either ignore or try to defuse the situation, (though in the case of the latter, it can sometimes make things worse).

A certain percent of people are jerks. A game's fanbase is no exception to this. The larger the fandom, the more jerks there will be in it. It's just math...

I started leveling up an ice/elec controller with this goal in mind. I'll see how it goes, and adjust/adapt as needed. By all means, please keep the input coming!
