I really like certain aspects of that last costume, and it inspired me to create a Psi/Dev Blaster, "The Psinfiltrator":

I've noticed a trend that a) some folks think any set that lacks a dedicated +end/+recovery power is "end heavy" and b) many folks don't look at each set in isolation; The want to run their leadership toggles, tough, weave, and maybe even focused accuracy or other particularly expensive toggles.

If you can achieve perma-domination AND have high defenses, (via APPs/PPPs/pools/IOs), then you should contribute nicely. Outside of that, I'd prefer having a controller along, TBH.

Quite possibly as bad as a disorganized inspiration tray is when you try to move one and accidentally use it instead!
-
On the one hand, I like that you have a few more "hard control" powers in the Dominator version, but at the same time, PA, which is widely thought of as the lynchpin of illusion, has been scaled back quite a bit, (IIRC, their damage was lowered, and as @honoroit pointed out, their taunt ability was removed).

Doesn't it use the science origin syringe animation?

I have a 50 sentinel with both AR and Archery. I like the archery one more. I can't say if that's because of the animation, their respective style/associated costumes, or actual combat performance, (or some combination thereof), unfortunately. My AR one has invuln as their secondary and feels more tanky, but the archery one has willpower, and as long as you can withstand that alpha hit, your regen will be super high so you'll stay in the fight.

It would take up much less space if you modified it to just be a topper for your existing table...

I've been wanting to try something different, and after kind of failing to find a primary and secondary pairing on a dominator that I really liked, I went with something quite different, a Titan Weapon/Ninjitsu Scrapper - "Exposed Shadows"...

I recently rolled a titan weapon character, and those powers explicitly state that they do not benefit from from range increases: For example: "Editor's Note: Arc of Destruction is unaffected by Arc changes."

No, Rogue steals super powers and memories, but not necessarily all their fighting skills and techniques, and not permanently unless she basically puts them in a coma or kills them. Plus, she needs bare skin-to-skin contact. From my understanding, Task Master can basically observe someone fighting and then utilize their style. He has a copy of Captain America's shield and use it almost as effectively, for instance...

honoroitisfantastic psst - my hero ultra rumble is kinda fun
biostem replied to honoroit's topic in Video Games
I rather liked the first few seasons of MHA, but I kind of lost interest when they got to the arc where the villains were "training" and started unlocking all these new powers. That being said, and while the game may be fun, I prefer the style of game where you create your own original character and get to take them on their own journey. Maybe it'd be more interesting to me if you got to create your own character within the MHA universe and experience events from their perspective. Also, and maybe I just missed it, but are there any "badass normal" heroes in MHA? -
I thought his schtick was copying other supers' moves/techniques/fighting styles...

Heck, even allow it and the triage beacon to switch models. For that matter, how about any of the DE "emanators"...
-
At the very least, timed missions should have some sort of clear indicator or icon that they will be, in fact, timed, (before you accept them, of course)...
-
Consider radiation melee - you get a damage aura that SR lacks, a self heal that it is also missing, and can deal additional AoE damage via the "contaminated" effect.

IMO, a "tank" is really the one who gets the attention of enemies and keeps them on him or her in order to protect their teammates. What happens once they get that attention and how they handle things is where the super reflexes come into play. As others have mentioned, Spiderman is a good example of someone with extreme agility, who also excels at getting an enemy's attention. Generally speaking, though, comic book characters tend to be more multi-role as the situation needs it; Wolverine can tank, he can scrap, he can stalk. Heck, the Invisible Woman can tank periodically, (though it tends to wear her down quickly). There have even been instances where Batman has gotten the attention of enemies to aid an ally, and relied upon his agility to keep from getting plastered. The Martian Manhunter can distract enemies then rely on his phasing to avoid attacks as well. One important point is to not get hung up on what a power set is called, but instead look at what it does and how it functions. "Defense" in CoH can be just as much about having a really powerful forcefield or strong armor that prevents attacks from reaching you as it can be about extreme agility.

Give this a try: /bind = "powexectoggleoff bright nova$$powexectoggleoff white dwarf" Then you just press the = key to revert to human form. Change "bright" to "dark" and "white" to "black" for Warshade instead of Peacebringer, as needed. *NOTE: If for some reason you cannot use the = key, you can substitute pretty much any other key you like.

honoroitisfantastic POLL: Mastermind - best of AT 2023
biostem replied to honoroit's topic in Mastermind
I very much like the revamp to necromancy. I had a harder time selecting a secondary and APP/PPP, so went with a combo I already had & enjoyed, namely cold domination and mace mastery. -
I'd also like to see a tintable version of the official belt, which they already added a 2-holster version of.
-
I suspect something is "off" with that one power...
-
I was trying to explain the need/reason for "Arcanatime", not why there was this unexpected pause after that particular power.
-
From my understanding, there are 2 components at play: 1. The game needs a brief pause to determine that animation A has stopped and now animation B can play, and... 2. There is a certain minimum amount of time the game needs between you inputting a command to activate a power on your client, then checking against the server to make sure said power is in fact ready for use and that there aren't any other conditions that would prevent you from using said power, (valid target, valid placement of you and the target, etc).
