  1. I made my own version - a dual pistols/ninjitsu sentinel. Take psionic mastery if you really want to round out the theme; Mass hypnosis, dominate, psychic shockwave, and link minds all fit. For reference, "The Umbral Hawk":
  2. It's most likely the Controller inherent, "Containment" that you're thinking of.
  3. Here's one I think turned out rather nicely - "The Shrouded Swordsman", a BS/Nin Scrapper: I wasn't quite satisfied with the mouthpiece and sword, so made a slight alteration for the second costume slot:
  4. Nuthin' like an inflammatory/click bait title to get some attention, eh?
  5. Wise words!
  6. I remember a time when the popular thing was to create "realistic" or "unpowered" builds, where your only travel powers consisted of hurdle + combat jumping. Trying to survive a trip whilst under the canopy of Perez Park, with only that, or maybe hover if you were lucky, was a truly nail-biting experience.
  7. I just checked, and Savage Leap *does* do crit damage, but it's only a 50% chance.
  8. The devs seem to use narrow cones to represent an attack's ability to "pierce" enemies standing right behind others, (see Piercing Rounds from Dual Pistols). This may be another similar case...
  9. Are you blinding or otherwise locking down the EB's ability to fight back? IIRC, if an enemy can't retaliate or see you, they'll flee...
  10. My avatar, as you may notice, is in the classic "rest" pose - that's because it's from one of my first screenshots I took of the game, before I knew you could free-move the mouse, and by using rest, it fixed your position, so you could rotate the camera. He was a dm/regen scrapper back when IH was a toggle, and I got most of the way from 1-40, (before PI), by street sweeping. I used to do laps of Bricktown...
  11. The problem isn't the channel, it's getting people to use it. What will get the most visibility - the AE-specific chat or the general LFG one? Players will choose the path of least resistance...
  12. Keep in mind that any such values are only in reference to even-con enemies and with no debuffs applied to you or buffs applied to them. A higher-con enemy will have a greater chance to hit, and if you've been hit with any debuffs, (which are also present in many attacks that may hit you), that may further dip into your defense or resistance ratings.
  13. The problem is the game is sort of in a state of stasis with regard to where the world is when we first create our characters and when we "finish" them at 50+3. It's not a perfect analogy, but as you progress in level, time also advances in-game. In theory, and if this was a single-player game, (and assuming you did the story arcs), AP should be nearly crime free, and the situation with various other villain groups changed, by the time you hit PI and the updated DA.
  14. Agreed. You've got the 3 unique IOs, (panacea, miracle, numina's), performance shifter, and various lower level sets that provide end discounts, additional recovery, or general end cost reduction...
  15. There are ways to ameliorate the end issues on any character. I do not think an end-reduction across the board would be the best approach.
  16. What if confront was either a zero-cost or extremely low cost toggle, that constantly pushed the caster to the top of the enemy's aggro list and maintained the range debuff...
  17. I have no issue with the numbers being tweaked. My point was to address what the other poster brought up, that the -75% range isn't enough to force some enemies into melee range.
  18. Maybe confront could be tweaked to give a variable range debuff to make the effect a bit more consistent against all enemy types, like: -75% for underlings & minions -85% for LTs & bosses -90% for EBS, AVs, GMs & snipers
  19. I went back and forth on the boots and gloves a few times... I'll have to continue playing around with them. Thanks for the feedback!
  20. And here is my shameless "inspired by" attempt, "Lady Aurum":
  21. My most interesting (and fun) combination would probably have to be radiation armor/savage melee - lots of recharge and sustained damage, but lacking in the "burst" category.
  22. It still strikes me as odd that they never updated his powers to be those of a Nictus.
  23. I'm not going to use the spoiler tags within this thread, as I put a warning in the title. That being said, and even accounting for the cryptic, (no pun intended), note left in the crate on the final mission, just how did Requiem get his forces back to Cimerora? Since we clearly have to use an Aspect of the Pillar to travel through time, did he get a hold of one as well? If so, where is that one? It doesn't seem like he could sneak in and use the Midnighter's one, and I doubt he assaulted or snuck through on in Ouroboros. Is the note implying he used one from another dimension? If so, wouldn't that only bring them to that dimension's version of Cimerora, or can the Aspects be brought between dimensions? It is stated Requiem or Romulus were planning to invade the modern day, but by what means? Summary of the ITF from the Unofficial Wiki The note I'm referring to: "Dear Character... While time traveling into the past, you visit Cimerora and in a crate you find a hand written letter addressed to Character... Did you think I wouldn't find you? You were sly, using an Aspect of the Pillar that wasn't linked to Ouroboros. Did you ever stop to think where Montague may have acquired that crystal? Or how? I apologize. This letter was not meant for harsh words or recriminations. I merely meant to remind you that I can find you...anytime, anyplace, anywhere. That is all. Who am I? I know you have been asking yourself that question for a time now. Am I Requiem? Am I Silos? Am I...you, perhaps? You may even be asking yourself which one of those people I am. Have you ever met Praetorian Earth Requiem? He doesn't go by that name, of course, in case you were wondering. Have you, perchance, met the shadow version of yourself? What about the version of Mender Silos from Faathim's reality? It is a paradox. Try not to think about it. But again, my train of thought wanders. I'm writing you to tell you that, as surprising as it might sound, Mender Silos and his time traveling cohorts are actually succeeding in delaying the coming storm. Note, I didn't say preventing. There is still hope. Because of their actions, and likely yours as well, it may be sometime before I can truly extend my hand to you in kinship. There is other work in other places for us to do. As much as I enjoy these letters, I'm sure you will understand that we have more pressing matters to attend. So, for now, I bid you farewell. As always, look for me in the crystal."
  24. The occult cape, from the "high collar" back option is one of my favorite pieces to use, particularly for the quilting it has on the inside. Not only would I love to have the as-is version ported over to females, but I'd also love a version without the skull & cross on the outside made available to the regular cape categories as well! Thanks for reading! Heck, a double-sided quilted version would also be cool.
  25. Yawn..... Insert "anyone who doesn't think like me is a bigot" nonsense. Are you gonna call anyone that disagrees with you a "Yahtzee", next? 🙄
