I'm actually really liking these tip missions. I ran to the Supercomputer in my base and grabbed a bunch of tips then went to Atlas because it's a small zone and plenty of doors, opened up a tip and punched Vigilante every time. Even to my surprise the appalling choices made that rival the decisions gold side.

Just let it defeat you and you'll get it. Blarf is consuming the player and eventually eats them. That's why the badge is called Nutrient Rich.

Really? There are a number of unique items added to the Warriors to distinguish them further from the previous generic costumes. Many have unique vambraces, tattoos with the Legionnaire logo, unique faces, unique belts, unique jeans. There are a mix of normal costume pieces for the lower tier Warriors and an obvious design influence from the movie that inspired the enemy group. As for high resolution models, you're setting your expectations far beyond what a twenty year old video game can achieve. The Homecoming Developers have the same game engine constraints as the legacy developers did back on live.

Rewards (XP/INF) Nerfed across the game.
Glacier Peak replied to Skoot the Brute's topic in Bug Reports
For both of your tests, can you answer the following: What server are you playing on? Did you previously have any temporary XP rate powers active? Did you have the Experienced temporary power active? Did you have the Windfall temporary power active? Did you recently defeat the Seed of Hamidon? Did you have any teammates on the map? -
That is the way to get the badge. Blarf needs to eat the player. That's why the badge is called 'Nutrient Rich.'

Cannot log in since update: Corrupt files?
Glacier Peak replied to pawstruck's topic in Help & Support
I'm assuming you're using Tequila. You should download the Official Homecoming City of Heroes Launcher instead. It is the officially supported and updated launcher created by the Homecoming Team. Installing City of Heroes on Windows Download the Homecoming Launcher. Follow the setup instructions and choose an installation directory. Note: If you have an existing City of Heroes installation (from Tequila or another legacy launcher), you must install the game to a new directory. The launcher will copy over most files (both game data and saved settings, costumes, etc) from an existing Tequila install if one exists. -
This is not a bug. Recommend you stop using Tequila and instead download the Official Homecoming Launcher. See below for instructions. Blarf just needs a nibble! No need to keep being defeated over and over.

Patch Notes for July 23rd, 2024 - Issue 28, Page 1

Yippee! Edit: Minor stuff! Badge Art for Protector of Paragon City and Deep Strike Agent are the same: Should be: 'Protector of Paragon City / Traitor to Paragon City' 'Strike Force Commander / Deep Strike Agent' Time Bound Artificer Dialog error on number 6: It should say 15 minutes, per the patch notes: When running 'Only Love Can Hurt Like this' - Ashling Corlett (Level 41-49) via Ouroboros, the flash back Level shifts the player to Level 44 instead of Level 49 (the max Level range of the story arc). See image below: Also, is this an @Widower reference or...? -
Emote in Character Creation/ Costume Screen
Glacier Peak replied to Glacier Peak's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
What! Was it really in game?? Are you referring to the thing that players used when the game stopped existing? I think it was called Icon? Edit: Oops, just reread and saw you said it was Icon Costume Creator. -
Finally made it to the big leagues! :)
Glacier Peak replied to Nostromo21's topic in General Discussion
Well done. Tangentially related, I wish I could see how much inf I've spent in game. -
The technology for this, as far as I could tell, doesn't exist beyond seeing powers animate - but I think it would be pretty nifty to be able to click a drop down menu and select an emote to have a character use while in the character creation or costume screen. How I imagine it, well sort of like how a player can make the background screen darker or brighter by clicking the buttons - it would work as a button that shows a menu or drop down of emotes.

I got a Caleb and Eochai Mini Pet Recipe today. No farming, just regular GM hunting. The guy on my team, (there was two of us) actually both got a Caleb drop off the same GM defeat. So, I confirmed the fix worked.

This reminds me of one of my first suggestion threads I posted here. I remember someone responded with (I'm paraphrasing) - are the current zones full on even one server? Why do you need more zones?

Feedback: Reward Merit distribution through Flashback
Glacier Peak replied to SupaFreak's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It's really worth a look - like I said, once you get the hang of the correct dialog choices, you can really fly through the story arc. I can comfortably do it in 8 minutes, but my best times are sub 6 minutes. -
What's the incentive for the rest of the player base? Right now this suggestion appears to appease your desires for fun, but misses the rest of the discussion. PvP has no unique rewards. Defeating another player provides no tangible unique in game rewards. The player might get some dopamine, but that's outside the game's rewards. There are PvE rewards in PvP zones, like temp pet summons or Nukes, maybe a PvP invention recipe, but that's it for rewards.

Another example of Mender Derek causing untold damage to the time stream. Now we can't even keep track of important dates or events. Thanks @Mender Derek! -

Looking at City of Data, the Nemesis Staff Prestige Attack power... the Animation Time Before Effect is 0.767 seconds and the Root Time is 2.5 seconds. It looks like nearly two full seconds elapse before the player can move freely.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Glacier Peak replied to Glacier Peak's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
Comics do this all the time. It is a one trick pony and once a writer makes that part of the story, every character developing moment is meaningless to the audience because it can be retconned or undone thanks to timey wimey. -
I played this game for a bit with a buddy, but lost interest in the game when I found the story lacking and I was already burnt out from the massive open world survival sort of genre.
